I honestly don't see the point in anyone getting tested and running the risk of being put in Covid-Jail if their not sick. I'm vaccinated (AstraZeneca), always wear my mask outside of the room, so if I don't feel sick it's not my problem.

I go long distance exercise walking 3 days a week in Bangkok and see more than my fair share of Thais not wearing masks. I'm vaccinated (AstraZeneca) always wear my mask and I simply don't care what these people do. There's only one other farang that lives in my condo and every time I see him he's masked up too. It's rare that I would ever see another farang in the area of Bangkok I live in to begin with.

Unfortunately the Thai government's initial request to AZ was for an absurdly low quantity for domestic use.

 

 

They can and will do anything they feel like doing due to their arrogance. However! Doing so would have serious ramifications going forward. Who (internationally) would ever sign a contract with this government? The international community will look at Thailand as a whole and say "if this is how these people do business, then no thanks".

The vast majority of these people have been taught from an early age only to listen and obey. It almost seems like questioning anyone is taken as an insult. How would you expect any of them to think and learn for themselves like we do? There is no development of common sense and/or logical thinking here. I can't even think of anything of value they have contributed to the betterment of mankind let alone themselves.

Approximately 10 7-Eleven's within a short walking distance of my condo in Bangkok have been out of many actual food items for the past three weeks. However they have plenty of snack items.

It appears that Thailand will soon become a member of the 1 million infections club. Any bets on what that will occur? I'm guessing the 19th of August...
