As the number of Chinese etc kept increasing the number of Europeans etc reduced.

I can't imagine why... 555 Truth be told, most Thais, Indians and North Americans I know can't stand them either! Something to do with being absolutely rude and using the street as a toilet I have been told...

  2. The government is pondering an amnesty bill that would grant medical officials connected with fighting Covid, legal protection against criminal charges to enable government operations/government officials to deal with the Covid situation. Also, the bill will allow the officials to make “tough decisions” sans legal consequences, says Thai government officials.

I see our hero is in the news yet once again, but the “Move Forward Party” alleges that such laws are essentially legal “get out jail free cards” when it comes to prosecution for top officials such as the Prime Minister… And the health minister. The MFP also claims that such a law uses medical officials as straw men to hide the fact that it’s the top government officials who want to avoid legal consequences.

  3. They can try to reach out to IBM and enquire about the "Streams" application which was originally developed for the NSA. I worked on version 3 of this application several years when it was installed at Sprint (an American telecom company) for fraud detection.

They can also reach out to an Israeli company called AMDOCS (also a telecom company) which is partially funded by the Mossad Intelligence Agency as they are highly skilled in data mining. I was working at their Champaign office during the 911 period when 60 Israelis were being held and interrogated by the US for their prior knowledge of the 911 attack, 12 of which were working out of the same Champaign office as me.

  4. Hi Rachel... I live in a Bangkok condo (same condo for three years) also and noticed this smell when taking a shower too. I have not changed soap or shampoo and don't feel clean after showering for the past couple of weeks.

Intelligence and Education are very different things....

Thank you for proving my point as nowhere did I mention the word "Education". This thread is about "Falsely accused of having Covid" NOT "explaining to you how so many poor farang can complain so much about being ripped off". Perhaps you can start your own thread on the latter subject and see what kind of explanations you get. As reading is fundamental, the ability to comprehend and retain what you read is a pretty good indication of your level of "Education".

Always check the passport when you receive it back, same in immigration arrivals in Swampy where they can stamp you in for the wrong time, and it's always YOUR fault that the permitted to stay date is wrong.

Once flying into Bangkok (Don Mueang) on a return flight from HCMC the immigration officer handed my passport back to me without stamping it. Obviously I caught this because I watch every move they make as none of them can be trusted to do their job correctly, period!!!

I was at Pathum immigration a couple if weeks ago for 90 day report, my wife asked about the paper in my passport asking to report bank funds in August and November. We were told that we did not need to report and that they would check when I extended permussion to stay.

Driving back I got the wife to phone the office to confirm, which they did.

I would telephone them to check.

Your likely to get different answers from different people. They can also tell you that the person you spoke to misunderstood the directive and told you incorrectly. Basically, it's whatever they feel like telling you because it's obviously not an "official requirement".

So it's back to plan 2, as I'm not married (legally) or have a Work Permit.

Hmmm, but which 5?  I currently have: Krung Thai, Krungsri, SCB and Kasikorn. Maybe Bangkok Bank?

Not much point worrying about the interest as it's pitiful anyway.

Personally, I only keep what's required to keep me "legally" in the country in a Thai bank (Bangkok Bank).

Can somebody explain in layman's terms what it means?

    Is the below true?:

    1. If I have 5 million in one bank, I'll get only 1 million back if the bank goes bust.

    2. If I have 1 million in 5 banks, I'll get 1 million back from all 5 banks if they all go bust.

    ????

Yes you are correct. It's also not a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket either.

I can hear all the "racism crybabies" crying "racism foul" on this one! 555 GOD forbid America close it's doors...

Ironic though that it's the "Biden administration" that came up with this. These are the same people that called Trump a racist for doing something similar to this and then a month later blaming him for not doing it sooner... Biden is more likely to get full support from the Republican party than he is his fellow Demarcates.
