  1. "There have been no cases of human-to-human transmission in Thailand."

What a bulls*It to say this. How does this piece of human incompetence know that none of the 8 people have infected others in Thailand? There is by the way an incubation time. New cases can appear even after some were sent home.

This government is just incredibly incompetent with every day issues, and much more with emergency management. If the buffalo with sunglasses appoints his other guys based of favour and corruption instead of based on qualification the country enters a free fall in a case of emergency. We are falling already.

"If the government and private sector don’t work together, they’ll lose out to competition."

The problem is that the government sets the tone for price gouging by over charging tourists at parks and tourist attractions...

The government needs a new attitude...give perks to tourists...not abuse.

    ..

it needs a new and competent government.

They are lazy and not at all interested in you as a foreigner. They don'tont even want to be able to communicate with you. That is actually a form of disrespect.

I hope Thais understand that not all farangs behave like him and not all farangs behave like this British man. Otherwise living in Thailand will become even more difficult for the rest of the western people as understandably Thais can be quite upset of these type of incidents.

It very easily could have been vice versa too. Now it was the Brit who reacted aggressively.

  5. Car and motorbike are probably overtaking the taxi, at the same time (otherwise the red car should have been behind the taxi and not next to it).

The bus has a parking car in front and goes more to the middle. Bus, car and motorbike are aiming for the very space!

And all 3 are to stubborn to give up and brake!

-The bus should have stayed within its lane waiting behind the parked car if there isn't enough space! You have an obstacle in your way, you f*cking wait and you don´t cross the line! Hard for Thais, to be forced to brake and stop is probably a matter of loose face or so...

-The car should not have stayed next to the motorbike overtaking at the same time but let the bike overtake first while waiting behind him!

Happens because Thais are stubborn and have no awareness of dangers, lack of experience, lack of knowledge and disregard of rules.

In the second part you even see a bike rider reacting too slow and crashing into the car, also another car.

Well done, like in a movie...

  6. Not surprised at all. Aggressive people (not just reckless) with horrible driving skills in combination with akcohol or other drugs. What do you expect?

1.Suspend all driver's licenses until everyone has visited a real multi-week school and has passed a real test, just like in other countries too. A car is a car and not a boat!

2.Force people to strictly follow traffic rules (a good source of income for police). A solid line is a solid line. Wrong direction is wrong direction. Make them pay.

    3. Much more speed checks needed.

I have never seen any in Pattaya. They go full speed on Sukhumvit and many times even on smaller streets. Buy laser guns and set up mobile checkpoints.

The problem is, police is going the easy way to collect money by ripping off people who did nothing wrong instead of doing real checks at dangerous places.
