The Thai government have backed themselves into a corner with all the fear mongering, they have nowhere to turn having spent the past 7 months vilifying foreigners as plague carriers. Slowly but surely everyone is beginning to realise that the dream of a vaccine coming along to save the day is nothing but a distant pipe dream.

Now they have to try to unwind every policy statement they have made since the pandemic began and try to open Thailand up on a science not fear lead basis which will be very very hard to do

Not sure the actually arrived at that stage. Facing the situation is not the strength of Thais.

There's definitely fault on both sides of this situation, but I do think that Thai tourism will come off the worst, at least for now while this issue is in people's minds. Of course the tourism sector is currently reeling with Covid-19 anyway.

For me, the thing to take away from the whole debacle is the severity of the draconian defamation laws here and how they can be used (misused). I'll be pausing my Tripadvisor reviews in Thailand for now.

Rather pause your stay in Thailand. If they can't or refuse to make it right, you need to stand up and say it.

  3. Idiot Thai hotel management. Need a fight with a paying customer? Can not just smile and be nice? Or find a compromise to make the customer happy? What f**king hospitality is that if you let escalate a dispute like this. Incompetwnt hotel manager. Idiot Thai style. Nothing more. Yes there are many difficult customers but if you run a hotel i expect you to be professional enough in your actions! Take the hit and bleed for your Thai stupidity! Unfortunately lits of damage has been done to to entire tourism by this, and just wait for court decisions, than it all will go once ahain thru all media, this time reporting about lack of justice in a military state. Well done idiot Thai hero... you kept your face and damaged the industry.

Cheaper to blow it up than finish it ?????

They dont want go re-approve it after it got politicised in media. It is better to finish it. A landmark building and Pattaya's top investment...gut blown up...Thai style. INVESTORS BE WARNED. IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU AT ANY TIME. DOCUMENTS APPROVED, THEN YEARS LATER REVOKED. YOU JUST LOST IT ALL. You didn't do anything wrong. Still no protection whatsoever. No laws to help you. Third world country Thailand.

I am not sure this is the right signal Thailand wants to send out to investors right now, or probably they did not realize the tsunami it causes ?! Real estate? Gone for years...with covid and without.

Thailand is to much to cautious. 97 percent recover from Covid-19.

But only 95 percent from flu.

So, and it's obvious that WHO and the nations planned something bigger with that whole Covid-19

    ScaringMachine.

    Wake up

That is utter nonsense that u are spreadding. Not to mention the permanent and long term damages of lungs and other organs... conspiracy theories lover? Aquire some knowledge and base your opinions on science.

  6. So there is a new visa available starting 30 Sept. And on 30 Sept they will discuss the new visa? What the uck did these useless clowns until now? Decide about first, and then discuss it again? Just to increase reliability?

By the way on facebook hotel prices are published. Bangkok hotels betwern 45 and 80K for the fun quarantine stay. Per person! Not per room! Should I quarantine my wife in a different room?? The mercyless rippoff has just begun.

Remember those who participate and boykott them forever!

With a population in excess of 65 million, why does Thailand even need to bring laborers from neighbouring countries? Could it be that the neighbours provide better quality, more reliable/energetic labor! ????

They provide cheap. And also, hard labour was not invented for Thais.  They prefer to let Cambodians and Burmese work while they, as a superior human race by nature, monitor them.

Go to any construction side, a condominium project in Pattaya, Cambodian non-skilled workers are (were doing before corona) doing everything included electrical wiring. I was horrified to see how bad and unsafe the electrical wirings were in my "high price 5 star luxury" condominium, made by Cambodians earning 100-120 THB per day and superwised by a lazy Thai motherf* who pockets the rest of their salaries...

"unable to continue with payments due to problems in transferring funds as they couldn't get to Thailand."

<deleted> k all those Chinese who pay with black money, illegaly taken out of China. They all made Thailamd real estate prices skyrocket. Poor guys, they could wire payments if the money would be clean but of course dirty money requires personal transportation to Thailand.
