I've been using Mint Mobile overseas for 4+ years and have never paid for their international roaming. I just make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled for the Mint Mobile sim and I get all my 2FA/OTP SMS text messages for free.

Owl, have you tried using the uBlock Origin extension in Firefox to get rid of the pop ups and ads? I normally use pi-hole but when Im traveling I use uBlock Origin and very rarely get any popups or ads.

If you still havent gotten it open yet, you can use a ballpoint pen with a soft plastic tube like in the video below. I helped a friend open the same kind of lockbox using the soft plastic ballpen tube. Basically, jam the tube into the round lock where the key would go and twist, while at the same time turning the handle to open. Good luck!
