  1. Any of the green, leafy veggies you see in markets you can stir fry in a non stick pan with just a little oil, along with chicken with skin removed, lean beef or pork. Very easy to do and there's such a variety of veggies available you won't get bored so quick. You can find low sodium soy sauce also if sodium is a concern. It's the sweetened sauces that are the problem with food, including a traditional salad. Rice isn't a problem if you use a scoop, but the locals usually give you a plateful, as this is their staple and even though diabetes runs rampant here, going without rice would be sacrilege here. You can buy fish filet in most large supermarkets, and pan fry it like you do the veggies and other meat. Just a couple minutes a side. There are countless videos on youtube about stir frying and other recipes you can show your partner.
  2. I just completed this quiz. My Score 0/100 My Time 27 seconds
  3. Eating 5 small meals instead of three large ones, doesn't have you storing too much/ Cutting down on the rice, which is the mainstay here especially if you have a Thai wife, works because too many carbs, in the form of complex, has to burn before you burn stored fat. No need to stop eating carbs, especially if you're not too heavy. Stick with the salad greens, green and wax beans, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, and a lot of the Thai greens you can buy here at market. Lean meat, eggs, fish, beef, pork. No fried foods. Grilled, broil or bake meat. Rice cereal, oatmeal, but small portions. Light soy or skim milk. Stay away from table sugar as much as possible. Use Stevia, Equal or Splenda, Stevia being the best choice. Of course exercising more helps. The best way is to completely stop drinking calories. Milk (besides in cereal), beer, wine, any alcohol ( I know bob,but if you're trying to do this as fast as possible), juices, sweetened tea or coffee. Don't eat less than 3 hours before you go to bed. This is worked for thousands of people during my training days, and will always work if you stick with it. Plus it's safe to do as long as you like. The Keto works, but cutting out all carbs is not a good idea.
  4. Quite a few differences I would imagine. One, it's free at home. Two, you can't catch a disease from your hand. Three, you won't be ripped off at home or attacked by any friends of a hooker. Four, if you're married or in a relationship with another, you haven't cheated.
  5. Ok so its 400 million. I'm off a little. Just saying it's quite a lot. i did agree that metric is better, and always felt it was.
  6. I prefer to stick with logic and facts. I don't make things up but go by proven studies.
  7. They have it on the bottom shelves next to the cabbage, they look almost the same at Lotus, at Makro on the bottom also. Packaged.
  8. That tuna is okay but the ones I get back home are fantastic. Albacore in water in at least 4 brands. Chicken of the Sea, Wild Planet, Starkist are three. Here it's like the redder meat. Makro is where I first found celery. Now Lotus carries it but not all the time. Like the yellow peppers I get here that are good in salads. The best mushrooms are the really firm basic kinds, but here they haven't been firm and are better for soups. I couldn't find head lettuce unless I went to Makro also, but now Lotus has them most of the time.
  9. All I can find here are Ragu in a can, Agnesi, which isn't too bad, and a few others that are kinda plain. When I go back, I'll bring back Mom's, Rao's, Classico, Tuttorossi and a few others that are really good. Also canned tuna and sardines, I Cant Believe Its Not Butter Spray, Various cereals, Sourdough Pretzels, Orzo and Pastina pasta, and DVD's.
  10. Genetics is a major point but you can cut your time here short if you smoke, drink too much or carry too much extra fat. Eating healthy can lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, the three big killers.
  11. I se more praying for gold and cash than a lot of other things.
  12. I always ate salads daily back in the US. Took me awhile to find the same ingredients here as the local stores aren't keen on foreign food. especially salad dressings. I brought back bottles of Kens and Paul Newmans from Texas, but ran out too quick. This year I'll bring back more. I still don't see much in the way of decent salad dressings here, along with pasta sauces, One here, one there, and not like I have back home. Just to find celery here took a long time.
  13. I could send a bunch of one liners like some do, but I'm not lazy and prefer to use paragraphs that have all the information I'm trying to get across. Remember, you don't have to read them.
  14. I'm not embarrassing myself standing up for protecting women and children, which is what I've been doing all along. The trade hurts all of them, in more ways than you know. Just because you don't understand this, doesn't make it wrong. You don't seem to realize that participating in this trade keeps it alive, and lets the traffickers ever closer to more of their spread. Of course many won't do anything about it, because they benefit from it. The same with anything else where a profit is made, from cereal with added sugar, to oil sales to getting votes for politicians, to this. Being blind to what goes on here is how it continues. I'm not going to stop this trade, but it will stop, as has been shown in other countries, if enough people get involved. Las Vegas is one of the very few places in the US where it's legal, and abuse and trafficking increased there. You might want to stand back and think about what you're saying, and try to understand what it is I am, because immorality is a huge reason so many things are wrong worldwide. I'm sure you know this.
  15. Well, you're either for it or against it.
  16. It's a discussion forum, with people taking sides. That's what I'm doing. I know the dangers of this trade and what happens to some and would like to see it stopped. Human trafficking is a pet peeve of mine, as it should be with everyone. The more people that are informed of any wrongdoings, the better chance it will stop.
  17. It actually should bother you what goes on in this trade, seeing that you're involved in it and like the girls. I would think you would do anything to help because they are giving you a nice time. What makes me bizarre wanting to have all women and children treated well? I'm a father with daughters, so I worry about them and all other children. A lot of people come to Thailand looking for under aged children for this. Makes me sick, so I'm thinking it should also you, especially if you also have kids.
  18. I'm not a professional writer. I just read their stories. I don't put people on ignore. People have a right to say their peace. The mods are here to stop the insults.
  19. But they do end, as you can see. Sometimes it takes more than a few words to get your point across, as to not leave out important facts. Kinda like all professional writers do.
  20. Social workers aren't invested interests. And if they all say the same thing? I've found many more that go along with the others. Are they all liars, getting paid, wrong, feminists? I'm not arrogant defending my side. Your calling Americans retards is what? What you don't seem to realize is that prostitution, sex workers, or whatever you want to call it, is not a good trade. It's dangerous, has severe psychological impacts on all those involved, people are abused a lot more then you know and some are killed. Human trafficking isn't near a joke. You yourself stated there wasn't anymore violence in it than regular relationships. This is from another link....... It is a job like any other.” Do you know any other job where people face a mortality rate 10 to 40 times above the average? Where 60 to 80% of “workers” experience regular physical and sexual abuse? If this is a job like any other, how come so few women from Western Europe take the opportunity?
  21. Gall is calling people retards without knowing anything about them. It is also a term used by teenagers so. I said billions, okay so it's millions that still use standard. Big deal. I don't shove anything down anyone's throats by saying I'm a believer. If you're going to nitpick, that invites others to do the same. I posted links for others to read. Not my fault if they didn't and are in denial of what constitutes prostitution and the dangers associated with it. If they're going to defend their side, I brought proof to dispute it. If you don't understand that, stay out of the discussion.
  22. Try researching before guessing, or listening to other clueless friends for your misinformation. Calling someone ignorant without knowing them, and basing your name calling on information you got from where? Talking to a few prostitutes or friends? Try looking things up, then looking up more to see if they match, before making a reply. 99% came without enticement? Where do you get your figures. making them up for sure. I have provided links for others to see the real stories. there are many more. If you have a computer, try it yourself. It's called research. beats word of mouth. Leave God out of this. Morality doesn't need his help. It's a human trait some don't care to follow. And you're yet another one who thinks I look down on prostitutes, after seeing me say I feel sorry for them. They are not any lower than anyone. Everyone on earth has worth. The prostitute has as much worth as you, I, Donald trump or any king or billionaire. Some just act very bad. Many stay in the trade while leaving children home with grandma. This is wrong, as they could easily stay at home raising those kids and working locally so it's not a valid excuse. It costs more to stay in a big city than it does at home. Those ones aren't making a good choice. Still doesn't mean they are lower class. It just means they aren't acting right. What's funny is seeing so many promoting this trade as if it's normal behavior to buy sex. They think because they pay a few baht to get off in a woman who might have had 100 or more partners before them is okay, not ever seeing what's behind the scenes. Guessing you know what goes on from talking to a few hookers isn't research. there are those, like the links have shown, social workers, who are out there trying to help these people either get away from this trade, or help them cope while being in it. If you bothered to read the link I posted here, you might see that these people aren't having as much "fun" as you think, and many are suffering mentally because of it. Again ,read more, talk less, learn, then comment. Every reply I see promoting this trade shows the forum just how some think here, and it doesn't look good to people who regard women as wives and girlfriends and not objects to purchase.
  23. You'll have to find a restaurant that makes food in a healthy manner. There are many who use old oil, too much sugar and salt. Tell them exactly what you want and don't want. It's your food so letting them know how you'd like it prepared tells them you are concerned with what you are eating. Of course some won't understand nor care. I ask for mi pet all the time, just a little chili, and to some this means throw three in when I mean one. Some understand a foreigner usually isn't eating very hot food so they'll know. Keeping the amount of rice you eat small helps, as this is what they over do a lot here because it's a staple here. If you like chicken , eating it instead of pork saves some calories. Tell them no skin added. You can communicate through your phone if they don't understand English. Stay away from fried rice to save more calories. Of course making your own food is always best but I'm sure you mean eating out.
