Any real men in this generation
A man is a real man when he makes all people comfortable in his presence. He doesn't look down on anyone, especially women. He lends a hand when he can, and defends his family any way he can. He isn't prejudiced or racist. Whatever knowledge he has he uses to help and not to hurt or destroy what others have built. He doesn't allow anyone to take advantage of others if there's anything he can do about it. He doesn't cheat on his partner for any reason. It doesn't matter what he looks like, how he dresses, how many tattoos he has or how he speaks, as long as he acts like the former around others.

Urgent Calls for Stricter Controls on Dangerous Dogs after Fatal Attacks
"Devastated, the family has since decided to seek new homes for the dogs." That statement alone shows the lack of concern for life here.

Best Way To Maintain A Healthy Sex Life As You Age?
Not treating women well will come back to haunt you eventually, or you'll have to resort to paying for sex forever.

Best Way To Maintain A Healthy Sex Life As You Age?
The question was the best way to maintain a healthy sex life as you age. Simple. You either do what a lot here do and pay for it, whereby cash is all you need to satisfy your urges, or you take good care of yourself and know how to listen to and treat women well.

Often electricity outage and undervoltage
Worst power company I've ever known about. In 6 years, the power goes out almost daily for a few seconds. No reason this should happen. Most every week, the power goes off for a couple hours. Low power happens every couple of months, where half the house has power and the other doesn't. I've talked to PEA a few times and they've said they will look into it but they don't.I understand from my ex wife's family here, that this has been going on for years before I moved here. Back in Texas, the power went out maybe 3 times a year, always during storms, and never for a few seconds almost daily. Obviously they don't know how to regulate power here , nor how to maintain the system, at least here in Sisaket province south.

Healthy home-cooked food in a remote location
Eggs here stay fresh longer than in other countries but I still refrigerate mine. They last until I use them anyway. You can freeze chicken but it can still freezer burn if not vacuum sealed. The same with fish, and you can get canned fish here to make casseroles with pasta or rice. I cook 90% of what I eat at home, the rest my girlfriend cooks on weekends. I eat oatmeal everyday, along with other cereals when I bring them back from visiting the US. You can buy some healthy ones here but you'll have to order online or drive. You can buy fresh veggies about anywhere in Thailand, and if you have a crisper in the fridge they'll keep awhile, so cooking them daily is easy. Stir frying is okay if you use a non stick pan with a touch of oil for taste. You can eat Thai style and healthy f you just don't add too much sweet sauces or oil and sugar to what you cook. There are countless ideas online for stir frying food. Again, you can order many things foreign here online at Tops, Villa, Paleo Robbie and others.

Class Reunion.
Age is cruel to everyone, even if you spend a lifetime taking good care of yourself. Women always look at themselves as less than they are (besides the narcissists), and men tend to over exaggerate what they are and how they look. They're only kidding themselves, as everyone gets old and gray in time. A man with money can have a lot of beautiful women, but that's the reason they're with him unless he's also again, been taking very good care of himself all his years.

Yes, my friend just messaged me saying it ends when I leave and starts again when I return.

Your Experience: Are Thai Women smarter than Thai Men?
I've heard about it since I was a pre teen. There are many writings about it and I'll provide a link for one. It's long, but explains a lot..........https://www.scirp.org/journal/paperinformation?paperid=75673

90 day report expiring before I return to Thailand
For the ones in the know. I'll be visiting the US November 5 to December 5. My 90 day expires December 1. I'm guessing since I'll be getting my visa stamped showing when I left and when I return, the 90 day expiring won't matter because I'll be out of the country until a few days after it does. Has anyone had this to deal with? I could ask an agent friend to send me the 90 day to where I'll be staying in the US so I'll have it when I fly back to Thailand December 5 if immigration would give me any problem. I'm assuming that since I won't be here that getting the visa stamped on return is starting the 90 day period again.

Do you worry about running into X live-ins from years ago while you're with your wife ?
With all the nice beach places there are in Thailand, why go to Pattaya?

Lawn mower recommendation?
I was asked by my ex why am I making a lawn. When the house was built, there was only dirt. I let the grass, and weeds, grow all over, pulling weeds daily until the grass took over (almost, still have clover). I don't like dirt being tracked into the house all day, like her mom's house has. The grass also holds the dirt down, and there isn't so much dust flying around anymore. Her cousin with buffaloes thought it would be for his buffaloes, but I cut it low. I do let him walk his buffaloes on the lawn once a week, because they get a treat with the grass. I do need a grass trimmer for the edges but I'm not really concerned much anymore as I'll be moving back to the US as soon as I can.

Lawn mower recommendation?
Before this one I bought an Italian brand. When it had problems, the local mechanic couldn't find any replacement parts (nor could I). I had to borrow my neighbors weedwhacker to cut the whole yard. Took almost two hours a few times before I got the lawn mowers. A lot easier now.

Have a Hyundai 173 cc. Works pretty well. I have almost a rai of land. Honda's are usually the best but more expensive.

Before coming to Thailand, I had no friends.: This is why I am so happy here in CM!
Thought Young was born in Toronto and grew up in Winnipeg. Never heard of a small town. Fished in Manitoba, April Wine a favorite group, and Gordon Lightfoot a favorite folk singer from Ontario. The Comatose Brothers have a good rendition of Harvest Moon with AJ Lee.

Anyone been bitten by a Thai scorpion? Is it the same as bee sting?
The worst scorpions live in Arizona in the US and are small. The black ones here are like a wasp sting. How a sting or bite affects a person is individual. Some are highly allergic or even ant stings and need medical treatment fast, and some aren't affected at all. I was stung waking up to go to the bathroom inside my ex mother in laws house. My lips got numb and since I was stung before by bees and wasps, I expected pain and swelling but never the numbness. It went away in about 30 minutes and the pain was gone the next day. A scorpion sting here is much like a wasp sting and should be treated as such...............https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/health-topics/insect-bites-and-stings-and-spider-bites.

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
Yes, but can still hurt if overdone, and isn't how depression should be treated.

Diarrhea Frequency & Treatment in SE Asia
There are quite a few cases of food poisoning here, along with regular stomach ailments, watthong saying where it usually comes from. Randomly taking antibiotics isn't a good idea, as it can make you resistant when you really need them. Best bet is finding out what you have before you try a cure. Safest bet for regular diarrhea is Bismuth Subsaliscylate, Pepto Bismol in the US, Gastro here. Immodium works, but Bismuth has always been liquid gold when attacks come for me. Works pretty fast.

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
Depression is the major one. Like all other things a person suffering from depression does, it's a quick fix all people like, but it can add to trouble if you always reach for comfort with food.

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
Lotus, Makro, Big C, Tops, Villa and a few others all carry salmon, Tilapia, frozen fillets and others. For a restaurant, khunphil is right.

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
They can debunk all they want, as opinions of dieting are too much to count. Things work for 50 years because they work, and thousands of people I've trained and given diet advice to have lost weight, and stayed lean, because of it. Of course the Keto diet works, especially if you have a lot of fat to lose, because you're starving the body of carbs. There are side effects of staying on it too long, such as constipation, ostopenia, high cholesterol, kidney stones and fatigue. It does work for the stated reason but some people like the taste of carbs, as many popular food is high in carbs. If you aren't too far away from your preferred weight, meaning body fat percentage, eating carbs in small amounts isn't bad. It's not easy for some to stay on any particular diet if all of their lives they;ve eaten a certain way, so radical changes are best kept to those who really need to lose a lot of fat for health reasons. I've watched women all of my life skip breakfast, and they are the ones who have a hard time losing weight. You go so long without eating and you tend to overeat later in the day, when your body doesn't need so many calories like it does in the morning.

How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
Actually eating 4-5 small meals is better than 3 if you're actually eating "small" instead of normal sized ones. Your body will have a constant source of energy and not so much that it will be stored as fat. This is what I learned, taught and have done for 50 years, and it's always worked, and my family isn't known for fast metabolisms. Booze of course is sugar, and drinking calories is the fastest way to gain extra weight. Yes, Thai people are getting larger, and this will continue for a very long time, as more and more eat western food and all the sugar drinks 7-11's carry, along with the shops. Kids are taught from a very young age how not to eat, by parents who also don't know nutrition.

You can use chicken broth if you are afraid of using oil, although a tiny bit of oil in a non stick pan will give flavor and not a lot of extra calories.
