  1. Read this...............https://www.osmosis.org/answers/anhedonia
  2. It's your choice to either read or not read what anyone writes. We don't "move along" because someone disagrees with us.
  3. It's your choice to either read or not read what anyone writes. We don't "move along" because someone disagrees with us.
  4. We created most of the pain. God has a right to be mad if we break his laws. He created everything so he can choose his laws, and they do make sense. As far as diseases that kill and hurt, that I myself don't fully understand, but again, life is short in any event.
  5. Any rifle that has bullets of a caliber powerful enough to humanely kill a deer is okay. You can call it an assault rifle because that's the moniker some have chosen. Of course no gun needs more than a few bullets to go hunting, so that's a place for magazine limits. Some people also like to shoot at targets, and love the feeling of shooting many times rapid fire. A lot go hog hunting , where rapid fire might help shooting at a moving target. These aren't the people who are going out killing others. Legitimate hunters and target shooters are just that. Mentally ill people who buy , borrow or take weapons from other legal holders are the ones that do the killing. Or mentally ill that use illegal guns obtained in various ways. I am familiar with the laws but they are varied in many states. I didn't mention I lived in Texas the last 32 years before I moved here, and that's where I had my license to sell. Texans have the most registered guns in America, and I never saw anyone carrying a weapon besides a few that looked like they might have had a gun under a shirt. I did see a few come into my store with a gun on their hip, which I forgot to mention earlier.
  6. Hope that there's a much better place after all this <deleted> we live in. That anyone who can create the universe can also have a place without pain waiting for those that believe in the only God we have.
  7. Sorry you had something happen in your life which led you astray, but the alternative to having a creator isn't possible. The universe, which is all matter, cannot happen from nothing. Some try to explain this away but none of it makes sense. They believe in other non believers theories because of their hatred or ambivalence towards a God, which is also shared by those same non believers. Very sad when you have no hope for a better life after this hurtful one. I choose to believe there's a reason things aren't well here, one we can't yet understand. We aren't weak followers, but strong in our faith. Our faith is challenged constantly, which shows how strong we can be if we choose. Think of how this world would be if there weren't any believers. The chaos would end the world population in a very short time. Be thankful there are those who choose to try and follow his commandments.
  8. He's still right that it isn't easy to actually see anyone carrying a gun openly. It's a huge country, with hundreds of thousands of cities, and of course people do carry openly somewhere at some time. I again, sold guns and hunted for most of my 62 years there, and never saw anyone openly carrying. I did see them when they came into my store and showed me their gun which was concealed. People who carry legally have stopped many crimes from happening or going further. Facts are there.
  9. Unlike some others, who have had a bad experience in their lives and blame God, I think about the fact that we all are going to die anyway, and most by their 80's or so, and that short life is nothing compared to forever. God gives us a choice to do whatever we want, a freedom, which is how it should be, as we are not robots. We can choose to follow the laws he has given us, which of course make sense and help us to get along with each other, or we can choose to do whatever we want without thinking of the consequences, hurting others, not believing in who created all of this, and living without hope. He allows Satan t have some power over us, which we can choose to ignore, or go along with. That's our freedom. People die from one day to 110 years or more, but if we follow God, that short or longer life still is nothing compared to again, forever. I have questions myself why he allows evil to hurt us, but that's again where faith comes in. believing in something we can't see. I don't listen much to people who find excuses not to believe. I try and convince them otherwise, because it's the most important decision they will ever make. I know that most if not all people that are atheists have lost someone important in their lives or see such evil in the world and cannot understand why a God would allow it. We can't see what's coming after, so some refuse to believe it can happen, so take the easy way out. I won't do that, no matter what happens, because again, this life is very short no matter how long you live.
  10. Not much different here either. With the smaller media coverage here, you don't hear about the daily shootings that happen here either, along with the many who use knives, sticks and machetes to hurt and kill. Ganging up 5 against 1, beating them with sticks and kicking them while they're down happens more here than anywhere I've ever heard or seen. I lived in the US for 62 years, sold guns, and never saw any gun violence. Of course it happens, most everywhere, and the mass shootings do take place but it's been happening all over, and will happen again here, because there are a lot of illegal gun owners here and that's the ones who are committing the most crime.
  11. You do understand that people that post things aren't always right don't you?
  12. Not sure what you're referring to as an average westerner. In the US, we learned about history from all over the world, including Thailand and the rest of SE Asia. It was something I was really into and to this day I enjoy movies about history from all over. The school education here pales by comparison to the US in all facets. They don't get left behind here even though they are failing. That doesn't help much unless you're goal is to be a farmer.
  13. My research started when I began lifting weights, age 17, and hasn't stopped. You're mislead by some who have used the Keto diets because it does work, for losing body fat, but it's not a healthy plan to stay on long term. Read up on what low fiber or no fiber diets do. You are misinformed like a lot of others out there that believe in something just because one points out the positives on a certain diet short term. Here's one link, from 2022, you might study. There are hundreds.....................https://www.eatingwell.com/article/7871141/what-happens-to-your-body-when-you-don-t-eat-enough-fiber/
  14. It played with the truth but much of what happened was based on a true story. Braveheart was Robert The Bruce actually. They didn't wear kilts that early in history. The kings son wasn't gay, as far as anyone knew. The king didn't die when Isabella gave him news that she had Wallace's child for another 2 years after. Wallace didn't have an affair with Isabella. She had an affair with another Englishman. The right of English army personnel to take Scottish women didn't happen. But Wallace did get enraged after they killed his wife, and he did lead an army against the Brits, and with other's help, win freedom for Scotland. Wallace was middle class and not a farmer, and Scotland rebelled 1 year after England took over, not after years like it was saying. Wallace was tricked by a Scot spy who brought him to England for his execution. The movie shows a lot of what really happened, but put in things that didn't happen.
  15. Naming one child, branding him for life, is one past enough. To carry the name of one of the most evil of swine in modern times would be a crutch no innocent child should have to bear. As far as education is concerned, I can see what my 42 year old girlfriend, who is very smart and speaks good English, knew about Hitler, which wasn't much at all. When I had her watch Schindler's List, she saw firsthand what was really going on back then. They don't have many historical American made movies here on Mono 29 or 24. Most are just action movies with the same actors. Good movies based on facts are very good teachers. She also liked Braveheart, and saw what England was like, as far as the leaders and army were concerned, back then. Another was Saving Private Ryan, which was mostly based on fact as far as the fighting. History here isn't taught much as far as I can see and hear.
  16. First sentence true. Second ridiculous and dead wrong.
  17. Being a Christian, it was kinda hard to believe what I heard about her. Thought she was a saint also. This is one I found that says otherwise. Not saying it's true, but who knows without research?.............https://www.vice.com/en/article/gvzebx/mother-teresa-was-kind-of-a-heartless-bitch
  18. I agree with the first paragraph, as my best friend now has dementia. He was a heavy drinker then fell and hit his head hard, and has since been in assisted living, with days out to visit relatives. He remembers us going fishing and everything else, but can't remember that I'm still in Thailand, and he knew I was when I moved here 6 years ago. He forgets things minutes later, and I feel so bad because I remember a very intelligent man that is now going away slowly. As far as the second paragraph of course being a Christian I believe we go on to Heaven if we believe. I feel for people who don't believe, because they might be living their lives as good people, treating others well, but not have a belief in God for whatever reason., and not go on to Heaven when it's their time. I'm thinking, if you just can't bring yourself to believe there is a God from lack of evidence, and not from a bad experience or loss in life that turned you away, than why would it be hard to bring yourself to accept that everything had to be made and didn't just happen, that there had to be a Creator, and if there is, that his way is right? If you actually become a true believer, you will have a good place to go when you die. If there is no God, what will you lose? It will be nothingness as some believe and it won't matter anyway. If you choose to be an atheist, and when you die and come before Him, what will you say then? I don't doubt he exists, and knowing this life and all its <deleted> will end someday, believing there is a better place with no more pain is comforting.
  19. How many partners a woman has doesn't matter as much as how much they love and care for you. A woman that has many will always look at her current man as the next one. One that has had a few but wasn't treated well enough to stay will look at the next man with hope. If he treats her right, she will bless him with attention. Learning by doing might seem to be the best choice, but it's desire to please that wins out. A virgin doesn't know anything at first, unless she watches porn, but she will learn from her man what he likes , and will respond if she's treated well. I've been with everything from beginners to nymphos, and it was always the ones who had just a couple partners that were the best. They weren't treated right, and they came through with good treatment.
  20. I was a Catholic (basically Christian now) and thought the same about the churches and their wealth. Nothing wrong with helping out your church but I'm not sure they need lavish.
  21. Do they include having to leave every 90 days because Heaven doesn't have online, immigration or agents?
  22. If wearing a mask saves one person from getting Covid from you, which they were intended to do, then it's worthwhile. One thing I will agree with Transam is that this has been addressed many times before, with all kinds of replies. The masks also protect you and others from common colds an flu, so that's always a good thing coming into that season. A person who is sick is doing the right thing by wearing a mask in public. Locals have been educated on wearing masks, although some wear them while nowhere near others and some don't while in the back of a pickup with 12 people likewise not wearing masks. Covid is and will always be around, and I've probably had it at least three times, and once it wasn't so mild. I wear masks whenever I go into public stores, for a few reasons. One is respect.
  23. All can be true. Some steal to eat, some to drink, some for drugs. People back home in the US trade their food stamps, which is figured out by the amount of family members and is pretty generous, to buy whatever.
  24. Tell that to the millions who suffer from diverticulitis, IBS, bowel cancer and constipation. Cleaning out your colon daily is necessary to prevent problems. Fiber helps reduces total and LDL cholesterol, which is a heart saver. Hemorrhoids are also prevented. I'm guessing you're just playing around, because these things have been known before we were born.
