Hi, I'm going to divorce very soon and get 100% custody of one of my daughters, she is 7 year old. I lost house, land and car so I'm going to be more cautious on my next acquisition. I would like to quickly restart my life and buy a land and build a house. As I will be the sole guardian of my daughter do I need my ex wife to sign anything if I want to buy a land in my daughter's name?

I received an answer from one firm, just for the divorce agreement they ask 50 000...

I went to the district office in Bang Lamung, the officer explained me how to proceed, I have to get a certified translation of my passport and she gave a sample of divorce settlement form that I'm using and sent for translation. A lawyer would help me to fill it well or to use a better form but also to prepare myself if ever my future ex wife was changing her mind.

Hi, I will divorce soon and have an agreement with my future ex wife but I'm not sure she won't change it before all the documents are ready. Does anyone know a good lawyer near Pattaya? I live around 30 km from Pattaya and I will divorce in Bang Lamung.

I went to Bang Lamung district office and it seems that I may have to give a thai translation of my passport as I changed passport since I married. I receive a sample of divorce settlement contract, everything is in there, I have to get an English translation of it too. The officer told me that I could or should make my own, the sample seems perfect to me. I wonder what is the value of this document, I will have to go again to the district office to check that my documents are ok, I will ask this question too. I would like to ask a lawyer too, but don't want to pay a lot just for one question.

Yes I asked several times and my future ex wife as well. Was very clear it was for divorce and the officer was very clear that all amphoe were like this. I think the best is for me to go to the nearest amphoe, ask what are the necessary documents and take an appointment, ex wife is ok to travel from Ratchaburi to Rayong. Make a settlement for her to give me 350 000 bahts paid 10 000 per month and sole custody of our first daughter in exchange she keeps land, house and car. I wonder if she is worried I sue her and split all in half, I wonder also what would be best.

It's more complicated than I thought, I have to get a translated certificate from my embassy then take appointment.

bang rak district office appointment needed?

Not only appointment is needed but it's more complicated than I thought, need a translated certificate from the foreigner embassy. -
Hi, Tomorrow I will go to divorce at Bang Rak, I didn't take an appointment, is it necessary or we just have to take a queue ticket?
-
I'm googling "marital settlement agreement"

and the officer will sign as well? I heard they asked during the divorce if we have common asset and children and at this moment we can include this in the divorce certificate/contract. I will make my own contract agreement but I don't know how to make a draft of it, how to make it sounds official, my English is not good enough.
-
Probably, and I would not wait one year to make a new topic about it but this is not on my top priority, Most important is to get the full custody of my daughter, second divorce and be free, third the money.

Thank you for your answer, it's a beautiful story, I wish mine to be as good as yours. My future ex-wife is particularly unstable, it seems that she lost her new rich boyfriend and she is opening a plastic shop with almost nothing inside. There is strong possibilities that she crashes and get crazy at this time, so I really want to close the deal before she realizes what is going to happen. We should go to Bang Rak next Monday, I will take one witness who speaks English and Thai, I will prepare a document with mention of the 350 000 and full custody of my daughter and sign it but it seems that the officer will do it himself and make us sign. I hope it will be on the divorce certificate. I'm quite stressed about it, that will be the final step in my freedom. I got a job, work permit, 1 year visa and one of my two daughters is living with me. She keeps posting on her old facebook she made for the family before, to make me jealous but I don't react, I don't post anything, I stay silent, I only spoke to her today to set the time of the appointment and she seems civilized too. I suppose she will show off a bit when we will meet but nothing that could be problematic I think. Anything else I should think of? prepare myself?

Hi, We would like to divorce with my future ex-wife. We would like to do it asap, probably next Monday. She wants to go to Bangrak, do we have to get an appointment? We need one witness each that's correct? She agrees to give me 350 000 bahts by paying 10 000 a month and full custody of one of our daughter. Can we include a clause for this during the divorce? is there a standard contract and we need to prepare a clause before for the custody? Also what about translation? my witness is Thai so he can translate for me or do it has to be official?

If they denied my non O visa at savannakhet can I come back to Thailand and accept the business visa at 35 000 from my agency. Could I get stuck in Laos? If they denied it is my non O up to 29 still valid? What are the requirements for marriage non O? Do all the documents have to be signed by my wife?
-
My company told me they can raise the capital to 2 millions bahts in one week. So I started to contact many visa agencies and it seems it's difficult to switch from Non O to Business visa. The agency who helped for the work permit is asking 35 000 even if my company has the 2 millions required. Another agency asked me to bring all document from my marriage and renew for one year even if I don't have the 400 000 or enough month salaries... they charge 25 000 for this and they say I can't switch to business visa, I have to extend with marriage first. I'm a bit lost with all these information...
-
So I can do this very soon and divorce just after, and with this visa and my work permit I can work? Can I do this without the help of my future ex wife? At savannakhet?
-
Sounds good, can I divorce just after this? And still keep my visa?
-
So 3 months given that my work permit is from today then I can't. Damn. Going to have to pay 35 000 to this agency. What about going to Savannakhet? Do I need anything from my wife? All the documents are with me
-
Letter from his employer verified employment and salary in details. (monthly salary must not be less than 40,000 baht) So it doesn't specify how many months? As I just got my work permit I can't show any other salaries. My contract is 70 000 per month. Maybe I should go to discuss with an officer with my new thai girlfriend to translate and see if we can make an arrangement. The 35 000 of the agency seems excessive
-
No my embassy doesn't issue income letter.
-
So they are right, I would need 1 year salary. They just told me that they could increase my company capital and charge me 35 000 bahts with 100% garanty to get business visa

Hi, I have a visa based upon marriage that will end on 29 August. I will divorce soon and not in good term with my wife anymore. She agreed to give me full custody of my daughter. The agency that got my work permit said that I can't get a visa as a thai father because I need 12 months salary and I can't get a business visa as the company hiring me has a capital of 1 million bahts only. I can't renew has husband as I just got my work permit too and can't show my other month salaries. Only way I see would be savanakhet before to divorce. Do I need my wife for this? Any other alternative? Arrangement with officer?
