IN B2S book store (or what ever the name of the book store in Central is) sells Sesame Street VCD's. They're filled with counting, letters and songs and my baby girl is a big fan of Big Bird. Be on the look out for them...

Quick questions:

How do you connect your phone to your computer ?(do you just browse from your phone?)

What area do you live on the island?

Why did you go with a phone over the PCMCIA Card?

If you can touch type (don't look at the keyboard)

and only want the French layout (i guess it's muscle memory)

you can use a free tool from Microsoft to remap your keyboard thereby having any layout you like.

I used it before on a machine that had a dead key (swapped it for another rarely used key) and it worked fine

It's some where in the bowels of the MS download section but I also found it here.

Found a home remedy solution for Labradors but should work for other drop ear dogs

16 oz. bottle isopropyl alcohol (or witch hazel)

4 tablespoons Boric Acid Powder

16 drops Gentian Violet 1% Solution

Some Vets carry an ear cleaning solution in their establishments that you can buy.

I bought from my vet one called OTI-Clens (pls excuse my spelling of the ingredients)

Prurified water

propylene glycol

malic acid

menthol citronella fragrence

salliciylic acid

benzoic acid

simethicone

Made by Pfyzer (SP?)

Be sure the solution goes in good then be sure to massage the base of the ear real well, along the cheek/jaw bone and kneed the area.

Then stand back as your golden will shake out what ever comes loose and then go in with the cotton buds/Q-tips.

I don't know the best home made remedy is....

How much does the cremation itself cost in Thailand? There's a whole topic on ThaiVisa about the typical large Buddhist funeral, which resembles some Irish wakes, but I mean just the cremation part.

If you're talking the most basic bare bones cremations (No pun intended...Seriously )

then it's the cost of the fuel (petrol i think) and what ever you choose to give as donation to the Wat (@5,000+ or - ,or what ever you can afforded)

The other costs incurred are feeding everybody

Choosing how many days you lay in state (3, 5, 7days??)

and how many monks you want chanting over you.

(donations in envelopes are given to the monks every night they chant)

How much does it cost to do an online upgrade from vista home premium to Business? to Ultimate?

I can't get a clear answer on the MS website or off a google search (maybe not using the right terms?)

I ask because I'm getting a new laptop soon that comes with Home Premium and I need Business or Better to use it on my company network.

If It matters or complicates things I live in Thailand. But I have a US credit card and mailing address if required.

( I read that anytime upgrade is not available in Australia and I'm worried it may be in effect in other countries)

Has anyone done it?

Is there service coverage there? Is it any good? Are the mountains a hindrance? Work site is located about 2-4 Km North of the Sharaton Krabi. Worried that there's no direct line of sight to Krabi town according to Google earth.

If it does got to BKK and "there is nothing wrong with it" , ask to have it back, have it shipped to the power buy in CF and then ask the staff there to test it for you

Agreed, Try Rolly Tasker. Also there are 2 boat outfitting supply shops along Thepkasttri Rd in Koh Kaew (Boat lagoon area) they're inbetween the U-Turns on opposite sides of the road. so, if you fancy driving in circles, you might just find what you're looking for.

Like I said before I NEED Business or better to work on my company network. but just for fun ( i could take or leave media center) i want some of the multimedia stuff that's in home Premium and Ultimate that's not in Business.

It's nice to have some of the features like windows movie maker and other stuff. I know there are more professional video programs out there but for some quick and light editing it's fine.

Actually all Vista Editions (Ultimate Included) are on the same DvD : you can see it here. The only difference is the serial key provided when installing (or after installing as Vista allows a grace period (to get a valid key) of some days if you didn't put a serial number.

The upgrade will give you a new serial number wich will unlock features from Vista itself and in the case of Ultimate even give you access to the "Extras" download. If you have to reinstall Windows Vista you will just need to provide the correct key (so the ultima key you bought when "upgrading" or Vista will fall back in a semi lock down mode.

does this bode the same for 'branded OS installations' like on a Toshiba or HP laptop? And what if the computer didn't come with disks, but with the partition that you burn your own rescue disks off of?

So i found out that you can 'upgrade' on line using MS's upgrade anytime tool thingy. Do you just have to write down your serial # and retain it forever if your computer takes a dump and you need to reformat?

Lastly is there a price difference in going up in vista version? Is a vista ultimate upgrade the same across the board?

Oris there a price difference going from vista home priemun to ultimate VS going form Business to Ultimate.

1. Can Buy Vista Ultimate in Thailand? I asked a friend and he said it wasn't released here yet. Can I buy an Upgrade disk.

2. Can I upgrade over the internet? Do they send you a disk? If it ever crashes out and i have to restore with rescue disks how do i go back to Business/Ultimate from Home Premium?

I was walking through Lotus the other day and noticed at the UBC kiosk that they're using a new slim black decoder box.

Then the other day I went over to a friend's house who's new to my neighborhood and he wanted help setting up his UBC box (setting it to skip unused channels and what not) Well he's got the new box and i didn't get to spend so much time with it but it looked like it had some promising features. I noticed the EPG (elec program guide) looks like it may actually be able to switch to a certain channel at a certain time. It seemed like there was an expanded line up for a each channel (many hours in to the past but only a couple into the future)

Does anyone have this box and can tell me about it, or point me to user manual??

If it can to the timed channel change I'll seriously consider getting a DVR.
