Thairath reported that up to 80,000 officers will be deployed nationwide in a bid to reduce the accident and death toll during a period which is notorious for the large number of road accidents.
They must be mobilizing all the police attached to inactive posts to actually do some work for a whole week...

This nonsense about a big bike license (>400cc) keeps rearing its head. What % of motorbike accidents involve a motorbike >400cc, probably <1% , so what is the point?

"A Thai woman has tested positive for COVID-19 despite receiving the vaccine earlier this month. The woman, from Ratchaburi, received the vaccine eight days ago but tested positive for the virus on Friday."
Once this story hits Facebook the doubt will set in with the uneducated Thais about getting the vaccine. The number of people getting vaccinated in Thailand to date is very low compared to other countries and stories like this won't help...

230,000 police in Thailand. Shouldn't be hard to catch all those riders without a licence.
Problem is 95% of your quoted number stay inside their nice aircon office playing with their phones as it's so hot outside...

To date Thailand has only vaccinated 102,000 people, so they have a long way to go before achieving any of their targets... https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/world/covid-vaccinations-tracker.html

There are approx. 14,000 7-11's & Lotus's stores in Thailand. Send a couple of nurses with 50 vaccine vials to each location, they could do 700,000 per day. Simples... CP Group to the rescue..
Naturally, Farang have to spend 2,000 baht or more at the store to qualify for the jab... 555..

So the Govt has managed to inoculate an average 3,000 people a day thus far and they are happy with this progress? The mind boggles with the bozo's in charge.. Lights on, nobody home.

In the UK PM Boris Johnson says Saturday was a record day for UK coronavirus vaccinations, with 873,784 people jabbed, pretty impressive https://www.bbc.com/news/live/uk-56474181
I wonder how many months it will take Thailand to administer the latest batch of 800K CP vaccines from China? Perhaps the Govt should start giving the jabs at 7/11's & Lotus's, that way it would be done in no time at all given all the branches throughout Thailand.. Start to finish deal from CP group... Special promotion, spend 500 baht or more and get a free injection..

OP... The words "Pot, kettle, black" spring to mind when it comes to this Minister... As another poster mentioned, should have saved this story for 1st April..

I'm sure I read somewhere that CP Group were major shareholders in the company that supplies Sinovac, so no surprise that it's getting priority over AZ (dirty farang vaccine)...

Most of the vehicle accidents in Thailand are caused by Somchai driving a pick-up. I'm guessing that the lack of disk brakes front/back, ABS on pick-ups, except on the top models, is a major factor for many of the RTA's; increasing the speed will only exasperate the problem. The average Somchai hasn't got a clue how to brake safely such as cadence braking, they just slam on the anchors and go into an incontrollable spin...

I seem to remember Pinocchio saying that the majority of Thais would have to be vaccinated before the doors would be open to Tourists. I guess Tourists will be waiting until 2022/23 if that's the case...

Anutin was on his high horse earlier proclaiming that a 3rd wave could be imminent as the number of people wearing masks has dropped. Every time Anutin is caught on camera he is never wearing a mask. Anutin is such a xenophobic hypocrite...

I don't think a days goes bye without TAT hogging the headlines, rolling out the desperate daily spiel trying to justify their salaries and inflated budgets... I wonder how many staff have lost their jobs in TAT's Regional & Head Office, probably zero...

Chiang Mai AQI at 175 is the equivalent m3 concentration of 103... WHO danger guideline is 25, Thai Govt. says 50... Naturally the Govt. will do SFA apart from giving the usual lip service...

Worst AQI Areas in Thailand, not good...

Congratulations farmers you put Thailand into the the top 10 most polluted major cities in the world give yourselves a round of applause. The Govt should be so proud of the achievement, especially Gen. Prayut as he encouraged farmers to switch to sugar cane farming a few years ago. Give it a few more weeks and I'm sure you will be on the podium same as last year... https://www.iqair.com/th-en/world-air-quality-ranking

With the US Masters golf coming soon I would like a TV package that has a catch up service. I previously had Pulse but gave up on it as I always had buffering when watching sports... FYI I just use a laptop connected to TV, so no android device..
Thanks in advance..
