We all know that Health Minister Anutin is an engineer and not a doctor, so somebody needs to explain to him that vaccinated means administering 2 doses. The total to date for 2 doses is 4.4M, Thailand has a population of ~70M, so they have only vaccinated 6% of the total population, which is hardly well on the way!!!

Thaksin Shinawatra was only a captain!
Thaksin was in fact a Lt. Colonel... mute point as his rank was revoked 6 years ago..

These FTA's are a win, win for Thailand. The Govt imports wine/cheese for SFA and then sells for a nice 2-300% mark-up in Thailand. Cheap wines that are used for cooking in Australia sell for upwards of 500 baht over here. Cheese prices are crazy compared to Oz or the UK...

Bloody shambles today at McCormick, can concur with what EricTh posted. "Walk-ins" were mixed with people that had an appointment. It wasn't until you got to front of the queue that somebody was asking for people with appointments to identify themselves. Took me 3 hours today, arrived at appointed time of 2pm and didn't leave until 5pm, so hardly plain sailing as some posters have said.
Lucky it wasn't raining today as the queue snaking from the car park wasn't under cover...

WHO comments on Sinovac dated 02June,2021 so fairly up to date.
How efficacious is the vaccine?
A large phase 3 trial in Brazil showed that two doses, administered at an interval of 14 days, had an efficacy of 51% against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection, 100% against severe COVID-19, and 100% against hospitalization starting 14 days after receiving the second dose.

If I read the chart correctly, two doses of Sinovac and one dose of Astra should give 99% protection against Delta variant. So why are you worried?
The Wall of CM option is only for 1 dose of SV + 1 dose AZ.... The infographic above states 2 doses SV + 1 dose AZ for max efficacy...
-
If the chart below has any credibility then it doesn't look like the SinoVac+AZ Combo has much efficacy against the Delta variant... I'm having second thoughts now as I'm scheduled for the SV/AZ Combo...

Anybody else think it unusual that all the aging dinosaurs in various senior Govt positions haven't succumbed to CV19? They must have an unbelievable immune system considering the majority are >60 years of age, or are on a daily cocktail of various vaccine antibodies, both..

The certification is very important if we want to travel to other countries.
By right, they should have given you the card with 1st dose as I see in many previous photos.
Not just International travel.. proof of vaccine is required for domestic travel depending on the Province.

Hi Fangless.. thanks for your feedback. Do they give you any kind of certification to confirm that you have had the 1st jab?

Tourism Minister should be getting reported for fake news. Three to four million foreign tourists would spend 300 billion, that's 75,000 per head. Piptat must be living in La La Land if he thinks that at least 3M foreign tourists will be visiting Thailand in the remaining 5 months of 2021... Perhaps he is still under the illusion that Thailand is going to open its borders in October?

I wonder where all the Pfizer vaccines are being stored for safe keeping. At an Army or Naval Air Base?

The Fake News Police should be looking into Dumb & Dumber latest statements.
Prayut only a few days ago said things would improve in 2-4 weeks. Now it's 4-6 weeks.
Anutin states his latest plan is to Vaccinate 1M people per day next month with only 10M vaccines. Only way he can fulfill that promise is by diluting the vaccine, 2 parts saline/water and 1 part vaccine...

Anutin is conspicuous by his absence these days. He is obviously hoping that Prayut is going to be forced to resign and he steps up to the mantle and saves us all. Naturally his appointment would need the nod from above.

Anybody under the age of 60 and registered with "The Wall of Chiang Mai" managed to get an appointment for the vaccine? I have been registered for several months and not heard a peep. When I check status, keep getting the same message (If you have received a 13 digit number from Kampang Wiang then you are registered in the system. When vaccines are available the system will set an appointment for you by SMS and you will be able to see your appointment date and place here.)
I have registered using my pink id card and again using passport, nada...

Doesn't quite gel with the open letter 24July21 by AZ regarding the number of vaccines that they have supplied and planned delivery...

'Remote Areas' don't have Airports; so presume they are dropped in by Parachute and each will get one of those badges the Police like to wear !
The C-295 can take off/land in a relatively small space. Only needs a min of 670M for runway..

What about the Navy? Do they have any plans on how to use their mega expensive submarine to help fight CV19?

According to the infographic below AZ accounts for 6.2M (44%) of the total 14.1M vaccines administered to date... 2nd jab 3.4M, 97% is SinoVac...

Dara Pharmacy, 3 - 4 mins from McCormick Hospital. CMU Pharmacy, Suthep Road, told me last month that they no longer sell Warfarin?

I'm surprised that the Govt hasn't released a face saving comment regarding various Country Embassies (France, China, Switzerland) giving vaccines to their residing Expats !!! From memory the number of Farang in Thailand is ~3M, I wonder what % have had at least 1 jab through the current Govt registration channels, probably ~1% which would be ~30K people...

I'm surprised that the Army haven't volunteered their services to help with all the demonstrations. It would give them a chance to show off the Stryker APV's that they recently bought for $80M. Assuming that the APV's are still in working order and not gathering dust in some storage facility...
