    No - it is not

For further information, google relentless heat in SE Asia - hundreds of reports from the whole spectre of media worldwide.

Who to believe - a smart aleck? Think not!

    Is it a climate emergency?

Filled me.... but then I aint a pig with a bottomless stomach.

Absolutely no need for that, I'll say.

It's a tiny burger, padded out with some veg and stuff and you've been charged 1/2 lb price. You were done.

Tough ! I have read the book "pulling your own strings " and I refuse to be a victim

Cool. I'm guessing you've contracted wokeness somewhere along the line.

Can be absolutely debilitating if not treated early enough. It's almost as bad as gambling.

I thought going to a specialist place would be better but it may make no difference

You could try the international hotels websites in case any of them serve fish and chips on a particular day.  Obviously more expensive if there is, but I reckon they'd make a better job of it than the regular outlets in Patts/Jomtien.

Also, a traditional UK fish and chip shop will have salt (sometimes pepper) and vinegar on the counter as free condiments. Tomato/brown sauce, mushy peas, curry sauce etc., are extra. Other side orders can include pickled eggs (truly evil), pickled onions (very nice), fish cakes, sausages, saveloys and pies.

A UK fish and chip shop will also serve a range of fish and not just cod (including fish roe - again, truly evil stuff). My Thai wife loves rock (cue the jokes) and invariably opts for rock over cod, but we don't have it too often because it's so expensive now.

I told the guy I would repost it here to get some insight from others for him.

Pop's is reliving his youth and quite normal.

I suppose you could relay to the daughter to throw an Apple AirTag in his luggage and track him down - almost certainly to Patts, but to have a good think about this approach because sometimes ignorance is bliss (remembering you can buy absolutely anything in Thailand and certainly not limited to ladies of the night or new girlfriends, if she gets my drift).

i don't bother with fish and chips anymore, it will never match back in the UK plus it's full of fat anyway so best avoided

The price of fish and chips in the UK now is rather hard to swallow (excuse the pun!).  Our local is over twenty quid for one large chips and two cod.

For discounting buying coffee beans purposes, I was told by my local Starbucks I should download Starbucks Thailand app. Trouble is on checking App Store on my iPhone it doesn't appear.I think it is on the Thailand app store but not sure how to access.Any pointers?

You need to change you location to Thailand in iPhone settings. I suspect your location is set your home country.

But we love Greta on the far right - at the moment. 😅

It would be a terrible incident if Greta was accidentally struck across the head with a police baton. Probably best move to China where they're far more tolerant of anti-government protests.
