Is democracy the perfect fit for Thai society? And is democracy what they're going to get?

Are people more happy in Lao?
My wife and I visited Lao in 2011 and the residents didn't appear to be the happiest nation on earth and I can't blame them.
I'm glad we visited to see the other side of the river, but won't be going back.

Okay then, but not entirely certain.
I'll meet you halfway. ????

The way I look at it, you can kid the lessor (fine if nothing goes wrong) but you can't kid an insurance company (big problem if something goes wrong).

Okay, so they're eating more but not sure we can ignore the convenience food aspect, i.e. Grab and 7-Eleven etc, whereas previously they'd have jumped on the motorbike and at least walked twenty metres to fetch the food from the vendor, now it's delivered to the door. ????

Let's put this huge 'bust' into perspective. I've done the calculations and calling BS on ฿1M worth but here you go, anyway.

So, for the OP (and anyone else) in Europe, a replacement card can be sent here
... but with the following caveat from your link:
Europe and UK
For the first order, personal cards can be delivered and activated in Europe only. Replacement cards can be delivered internationally.

If Portugal is good enough for Ronaldo, then it's good enough for you, Gamma. Bon voyage and all that.

I always found it interesting in NYC when a shop would close, people would feel sorry for the owners and assume bankruptcy when the truth was sometimes retirement...
Are you suggesting the OP's coffee shop owners have retired to a multi-million baht Jomtiem condo?

Indeed. Ongoing issues include drug dealing, drug addiction, habitual sex offender and murderer, to name but a few.

marbling that makes the steak cook faster and juicier, I'll give Pon Yang Kham beef a go at Thai-French Butchery.
Makro sell a range of Thai beef and imported. Invariably have some nice aussie ribeye at reasonable prices.
We purchased some Thai wagyu last week from the local Makro at ฿450 (probably about 0.5kg) and have to say it was top quality.

For those of you who don't know, it is possible to avoid the 220 baht ATM fee by using a counter withdrawal at Bangkok Bank (Visa/Mastercard no fee) or Krungsri (Mastercard no fee, Visa 200 baht fee).
Did that years ago in BBK but PITA really. Ended up getting BBK bank account and all sorted now.

To me personally I’m amazed that the people of color don’t seem to commit as many acts of domestic terror like the white supremacist do for the most part lawful protest is their go to method to address rightful grievances (I’m in solidarity with them)btw
They make up for it in different ways.

The President of the US does not reign.
Don’t expose any more of your ignorance on the matter, it’s embarrassing.
Do what you like but was clear enough.
Take care and goodbye.

Sorry for the long link. I won't post pictures of our room or me enjoying a bubble bath except by request.
Lovely but not really presidential, is it? Kind of ordinary.
I'm trying not to laugh, but I can't help it.

This is something every American should keep in the forefront of their minds that it is indeed possible that this ignorant trust fund baby could possibly again be let lose on our democracy and the world it mustn’t be allowed to happen we at best will need decades to recover from what he’s done allready
But all the crazy countries kept schtum during Trump's reign. And now, all of a sudden, they want a piece of the West.

We then returned to our Presidential Suite at our hotel. Well, why slum it like Steven when you can have a suite ( This is true not a joke. Amazing value for less than 1000 baht ).
Very funny. ????
Please share where we can all enjoy the Presidential Suite for less than 1000 baht.

No such card in the UK but I get by with having a BBK account so transfer funds over occasionally from UK and withdraw at LoS ATM.

However dubious he might be at least in one aspect he was right: Soda-Water is good (tasty). That's not much but better than nothing. I do not care about the rest.
It can't be any worse than Coca Cola and its toilet cleaning properties. It's just some bubbles, surely.

Do note: I never stated a requirement nor would I expect anyone to follow it, I was merely stating my opinion. That is allowed, isn't it?
Do what matters most and free yourself. I do recommend a toot of the White Buffalo to go with your coffee.

The fact that you have ordered a hot coffee, means that you are ordering a coffee that doesn't contain ice. It doe not guarantee it will be any particular temperature.
Then it's up to the staff to make sure you get what you ordered.
You know, they could be proactive and ask questions. If I buy a steak, then I'll be asked how I would like it cooked.
It's really not hard.

My wife was pleased as punch that a bubble tea cost her ฿24 here in LoS (wasn't really a thing last time we visited pre-Covid lockdown).
£5 odd in the UK.
