  1. Not necessary. Many Pro-Pita posters on this forum ( Note non-voters ) are opposed to MFP stance on weed, are they ? By same token, it might not be all 38% of MFP voters buy into altering 112 policy. I interpreted MFP mis-judged the public mood about 112 at least as of now, and MFP lacked political tact to twist and navigate. ( promising not touching this subject for 3/4 years until near end of the term and re-election campaign time would turn the table and put pressure on the opponents )
  2. I agree with this particular sentence of your long interpretation " Frankly Mr T coming home is the wrong move for his party. " I predict Mr. Srettha will be the Next Prime Minister. In politics, "It is now or never". And the key is to grab the power as of NOW, not waiting for ...... next election and so on. So it will be Srettha time soon, not Shinawatra era anymore. As I noted, the Thai are ready to move on. But the expat communities are stubborn and fail to move on.
  3. The young lady was on the headlines for so long Is Peua Thai Party going to nominate Seretta as PM rather than the young lady ? Why ? BTW circumstances in 2005 and 2023 are very different. During his absence Thaksin may see things his way, rather than moving on. However, The Thai are ready.
  4. What is the deal ? Who is paying Whom for What ? Is Thaksin in HK ? I don't believe it a bit as HK public recognized him and put news about him immediately. ( HK is so small, most difficult hiding ) Just nonsense after all.
  5. Subsequent to a major mistake in the Election campaign, Peua Thai made three right decisions in the aftermath jockeying despite finishing second. // Did not yield on the House Speaker selection. // Did not nominate anyone of Peua Thai party in the first PM voting section. // Did not nominate the young lady for PM, and install Srettha for the position.
  6. Obvious to outsiders ( however many ASEANNOW Thai expats still now moving on and not getting it ) about why it is "to install Srettha as Prime Minister" Thai public are very uncomfortable about Thaksin coming back to Thailand, at least not now, not in a short with all the fuss about Thaksin abbreviated jail term or none. ( Almost no excitement gesture about Thaksin return even from Peua Thai core ) Weeks before May 14, 2023 voting, Thaksin kept talking about returning in May, June, July or whenever while it appeared the young lady was likely the next PM Thaksin talk actually hurt Peua Thai in the voting. This is dominant factor causing Peua Thai polls had came down in the final two weeks before voting and leading to the second place finish. Peua Thai supporters are fine with the young lady and hope she eventually exhibits leadership out of fatherly shadow. At least Peua Thai got the message belatedly and NOT put her to nomination now.
  7. The Writer Shawn W. Crispin of AsiaTimes had the title wrong. Should have phrased " Thailand : Pita loss is Peua Thai Party gain " Thaksin's gain ? Hum, just shows the writer is not in touch with reality.
  8. I talked and quoted Constitution. You talked of your opinion and your friends' opinion. They are in completely different levels of unequal importance.
  9. Constitution is just black and white with no room for obscurity or observation or trending etc. Mr. Ma had talked about such Taiwan Constitution time and again --- in Singapore 2015, in UK ( Oxford University ) 2019, in PRC 2023 and in Greece 2023. Western media of course conveniently ignored or side-tracked such important information is contradicted the Western Script and Western Narrative. BTW your comment earlier about Antiquity so and so is Not true.
  10. What is the issue ? Racial congregation is a problem ? What about Little Tokyo in Los Angeles ? Little Italy in New York ? Beach Area in Toronto occupied by the British as well as countless China Towns everywhere including Bangkok ? Do all of these bother you ? BTW Hong Konger Chinese have stayed ( and developed too ) in Richmond, B.C. in large number since early 1990's. Has there been serious Conflict, violence, drug issue, well, not to my knowledge for the past 30 years.
  11. Taiwan former President 2008-1016 Mr. Ma talked about Taiwan is part of China ROC per Taiwan ROC Constitution in public merely weeks ago, He did the talk in PRC as well as in Greece. You think you know better ?
  12. Taiwan Constitution stated that Taiwan and Mainland are as a whole of China ROC. Former Taiwan President 2008-2016 Mr. Ma talked about Taiwan Constitution merely weeks ago. I bet you don't read news reported in Taiwan and know ZIP about Taiwan constitution. Instead you went blah blah blah ...... merely echoing the Western narratives.
  13. Your original post stated you may go on a Daily Basis. Once you have some kind of pattern on time and date of the trip ( daily or not ). Recruit a regular driver you are comfortable and negotiate. 30-40 % discount very much doable in your case.
  14. ( Not China ) USA had made commitments to defend Taiwan from 1950 to 1970's. My error in one of the posting earlier today.
  15. Your statement " According to the list of Chinese wars and battles ¹, some of the wars that China fought from 1950 till 2023 are: " Your list included Conflicts too, Is conflict equal to war ? Of course NOT. So what are these paragraphs that you have written ? False narrative with ill-intended, hidden agenda ?
  16. In 1979, India GDP and China GDP were roughly on par. In 2020, India GDP and China GDP were in 100 : 450 ratio. Currently India is doing very well, and India GDP growth rate runs tops of Asia and about top of the world too ( Forget any western nations to compare India growth ). Come back in 50 years -- provided you and I live long enough --- to see if India will surpass China then.
  17. " China not far out of peasantry " ??? Really ? Too bad reality does not match your Script. You can keep Dreaming. Dreaming doesn't hurt.
  18. A made-in-China warship had just been delivered to Thailand a week or so ago. Presume you have not bother reading Non-Western media and/or Non-English language media, so you are not aware.
  19. Where does China interfere in the internal affairs of other countries ? You failed to name anywhere Specific and "Fudge Your words" on a false narrative as I concern. China had made commitments to defend Taiwan from 1950 to 1970's. Further to establishing diplomat relations between Washington ( signed by Jimmy Carter 1979 and re-iterated by Reagan years later ) USA had gone with "Strategic ambiguity" policy from 1980's onwards ----- A policy of strategic ambiguity is the fundamental policy of the US toward Taiwan. The US takes very ambiguous positions on its commitment to Taiwan's security, Too bad your second paragraph info was very much OUTdated.
  20. PRC will integrate Taiwan for sure. 1.4 Billion PRC citizens are committed to implement and complete the process in the long term. How and Time are unknown. TSMC status is not relevant. China will just do, period. And as Xi had face-to-face told EU Ursula in public in early on April 6, 2023, outsiders want to interfere is Completely OUT of LINE.
  21. The Link you quoted dated to March 2021. So do you think China had been just ideal and done nothing in their end for the past couples year ? TSMC had gone through much change in 2022 and 2023. And the global chip demand and chip business had gone through much change too in 2023. Do your indulgence of YESTERYEAR report and data for whatever satisfaction you get. Thanks but no thanks to your Link.
  22. On April 6, 2023, Xi had informed EU Ursula Van face-to-face in Beijing that outsiders thinking of affecting how Mainland deals with Taiwan is completely OUT of line no matter the circumstances. EU Ursula and France Macron were meeting Xi respectively and also together then. So you think it matters about Biden or Trump or whoever else would affect Beijing plan ? You had better read some NON-Western media a/or Non-English language media rather than without the facts.
