  1. Amazing that the TV sleuths can resolve any murder case from their armchair within minutes, but after a day they still don't know what the big bang, around the corner from where they live, was about.

'Flash' are being used to transport items to be returned. They pick up from your abode the next day the seller accepts your 'return' request. That is what I found. All you need to have is a downloaded 'return notification' to give to the driver along with the item. Far better than having to go to a Kerry drop off point.

Yup, and this is what happens when they do a return

Not sure how much BKK bank want to charge you, but it only cost me 1,200b in bank fees to transfer 11 million baht from my Krungthai bank account direct to my US bank account.

Was that money in a foreign currency account with Krungthai, or was it baht which you exchanged to US$ before sending them back?

Reason I ask is that you can't send Thai baht outside Thailand, it always have to be converted to foreign currency first.

I had 291.000 Euro in a foreign currency account with Kasikorn, when I sent it back, it cost me 500 Baht fees, and another 49.379 Baht in commissions.

  4. Strattera is a controlled substance, you will not be able to buy it in any pharmacy, even with a prescription.

Only available from selected hospital pharmacies, with a prescription, and even then you will only get I think maximum 1 month supply.

Need passport and address as well, to receive it

although friends claim namecheap provide the cheapest, but I found that not to be the case, and you also pay for domain privacy.

Domain privacy is free with Namecheap.

I have a few domains with them, and I find them reliable, cost effective and support is good.

Their premium DNS is also worth the money

  6. Time to update, as finally yesterday, 18 days after I sent back the item, I received a refund.

What happened is that FlashExpress, the service selected by Lazada to return the TV, delivered to the wrong warehouse.

How that can happen is still a mystery, because the address is correctly printed on the return label, and they spoke twice over the phone with the seller.

It took them 3 days to correct the mistake, and when the TV finally arrived at the sellers warehouse on Monday evening, it was not damaged any more...............in fact it was completely destroyed now.

The seller then updated Lazada that he now received the TV, and sent them photos as evidence, and informed them they could now close the dispute.

Lazada instead kept the dispute open for another 8 days, and repeatedly asked the seller to send the same evidence over and over again. Each time I called them, on average 4 times every day, they would tell me it would be resolved within that day, but they just kept lying and going.

At one point, a few days before they finally resolved it, they told me they had to wait until the transporter had approved the refund, because he damaged the item.

I told them that their arrangements with the transporter was not my business, as I ordered from Lazada, not from the transporter.

This is how the TV was damaged when it arrived at my place, and how I sent it back the next day.

    tv2.thumb.jpg.df235767f057f8a4eec3c0ec04b42e2e.jpg1577789803_Returntoseller.thumb.jpg.cc709e66b8b785f383132dd5586fe2df.jpg

And this is how it arrived at the sellers warehouse, after FlashExpress had handled the transport, and managed to deliver it to a wrong warehouse. Take note, all protective packaging had been removed, and the box at the bottom completely taped up with tape from the transporter.

We’ll see if there is a significant drop tomorrow.

if not, if the numbers are the same or higher tomorrow, then Thailand is hosed.   But it’s much more likely this is an artifact, and the numbers will drop tomorrow.

The problem is the underlying slow rise in cases.

It looks as if the numbers increased everywhere, as Chonburi also doubled from one day to the other.

maybe someone got over active and instructed to perform more tests.

He will be transferred to an inactive post tomorrow

You don't say where you are but the prices you mention are not typical for all of Thailand.

There are plenty of courses around Pattaya as an example where even with a cart/buggy deals are available for much less than 2000baht.......

I don't golf, but I have wealthy European friends which are fervent golf players, and live in Tenerife.

When they were here 3 years ago, they went to a few courses, and told me that Thailand is way overpriced for the substandard courses that are around Pattaya

And it proves you must have skipped a lot of maths classes back at school.

As of now, all doctors in Indonesia have been vaccinated, there are 146,000 doctors in Indonesia according to Google.

So far 350 of them have gotten infected.

    (350 / 146,000) * 100 = 0.2% (rounded to the nearest tenth)

Oh WOW, an astonishing 0.2% of vaccinated doctors have gotten infected..... VaCcInEs UsElEsS, No PoInT In VaCcInAtInG , right?

Following your logic, there are 7.9 Billion people on this planet, and 178 million unvaccinated of them got infected ( take note I said infected not died), so that is a whopping 2.25% of the world population that got INFECTED.

    Let's mass vaccinate, NOT?

Here is a photo of a 12m x 5m x 1.5m pool I made all by myself and lined with natural stone.

If you built that pool, which even a blind man can see is about double of 12 meter long, why it has the name of an Australian designer attached to it.

You are really full of it, isn't it?

That was a question a potential tourist asked me, How many people have been fully vaccinated in Phuket?

    Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: As many as are needed to open.

A longer long answer, and if we don't reach the percentage of vaccinated people needed, we just blanc out a few hundred thousand resident on the books

I would think one pump would be fine. How is the system configured? Do you have one tank or more?

The only difficulty converting to one pump will be tying the two systems together.

I have three-bedroom, three-bath & three people and  the Mitsu  EP-355 R handles it without an issue.

I have an in-ground tank, but there are 2 suction pipes of 1" inserted, and they arrive next to each other in the pumphouse, because both pumps are positioned next to each other.

Then each pump feeds one zone, so I think tying them together will be easy.

Not only flow but PSI of 50/3.5 bar (normal US water pressure).  You will not get that from the well pumps.  But on the other side the well pumps will likely not blow your plumbing.  In our case we went Grundfos many years ago and re-did the plumbing to take the higher pressure and very happy with results.

The pumps are automatic pumps, not well pumps.

Strange enough I can't find anywhere any specs as to what pressure the Mitsubishi WP 405 delivers.

    Any info on that one?

    Edit : Found it 2.4 - 2.8 bar

Do you commonly have multiple taps open at the same time?

I don't, as i'm single haha, but the house has 3 bathrooms, kitchen, maids quarters with bathroom and full kitchen, and the setup was done with it all being occupied in mind.

Because it isn't now, doesn't mean it may not in the future.

    Need to think about.

If I decide to just replace the pressure tank, which would be the best choice qua durability, the yellow Mitsubishi tank or the stainless ones?

  15. 1 hour ago, bankruatsteve said:

10 years is getting up there for a Mitsu.  Check for corrosion on bolts and joints. Decide yourself if new pump or just tank is needed. Be careful with Lazada as the model number is often not the same as pumps sold locally.

OK, since I actually have 2 pumps of the same age, each feeding one side of the house, and I see the smaller one is leaking from one of the bolts, maybe better to replace the complete pump.

2 pressure thanks would cost me 5000 Baht, and if then the pumps fail in the near future, that is 5000 wasted.

One is the Mitsubishi WP405 and the other WP305.

Now I'm considering to replace both pumps with a single one, that feeds both sides of the house. Would that be possible?

I have 2 separate suction pipes of 1". I know the WP405 requires 1 1/4", but that's the builders' error. The output pipe is 1 1/4"

Can I have 1 pump feed from 2 separate suction pipes?

Any suggestions which pump would be up to the task, and doesn't break the bank?

  16. Yesterday I plugged the second hole on my Mitsubishi pump pressure tank, so time to replace I guess.

I see them on Lazada, in the original yellow version, and in the stainless steel version, which is a little cheaper.

Anyone experience with this, which of both I should select?  Since the pump is now almost 10 years old, does it make sense to replace the tank, or should I instead save money by replacing the complete pump?

Is Lazada the place to look for the tank/pump, or will there be cheaper places.

    I'm in Pattaya

I'm not so sure google is your friend, because if I look at that listing, the bottle would cost 100 times of what the OP ever can put inside.

60 Pounds, have to fly to UK to go pick up in person, then a 14 day quarantine on return at 50K Baht.

Think will give that one a miss
