  1. So it is kind of confusing. One article further in the lest states the 1st & 2nd only a ban on the 3rd again is possible & the article linked says after the 3rd alcohol is permitted. Anyone know thew real dates? I need a bottle of brandy to mix with Kahlua. I am over white Russians & rum doesn't mix to well with Kahlua. If it is only tomorrow left I will go to Macro? anyone know the real date to buy?

I don't want to change Pattaya or its reputation. I only dream of a better organized Pattaya. Just compare the Beach Road from today with the Beach Road when it was full of bars. The nightlife will have to move to cheaper locations and it happens already. Perhaps this move could happen more organized.

Why not just move to Chaing Mai if you want a boring life? Walking street is & always has been the life of Pattaya & a fun place to take people to when they visit. The beach there isn't any better than right down the road with a thousand umbrellas. I don't think Pattaya has ever been known for any world class beach. Perhaps move down south if you want better beach life. No one is ever going to change Pattaya's style & as for a nice family destination unless your going to get your teenager some action there are better places in Thailand than Pattaya for a family destination.

  3. Ya 130 KPH shifting to 3rd gear. What is the sense in having a road bike & going scooter speeds? 160 usual for me but my 650 Kawi is punched out to a 833 with 800 gears & all new hot electrics used in the Kawasaki Brazilian's race team over 180KPH I am at the track. <deleted> my Yamalube 80 back in 1977 went over 120KPH...But not for too long it would overheat & shut down. Personally7 being a mechanic I would stay far away from any bike that is over 600 cc that never seen over 120 or 130 KPH as it will probably be a grandma motor that does not have any Boogie to it & has never been rappe4d out to high RPMS in the begging to lap the valves properly. Not ran full time but 3 short hot bursts to seat the valves as a high performance engine opposed to a slow ass motor that lasts forever.

pretty sure Advice, Jib and InvadeIT are probably still open.. but maybe not.

if from Lazada you just click on Local on the left side and it only shows stuff in Thailand.. and then there is Shopee (and others)

Both are open on Lazada. Banana, JIB, Advise, Invade & 1/2 a dozen local companies online only now are basically all open from what I can tell.

I tried yesterday morning as of 10am today the order had not been accepted by the supplier in Bangkok........which makes me think they are closed at present and i was not waiting 3 weeks for one from China.............

Through Lazada? I just ordered about 20 components including things coming from China all has made it. I do avoid buying from China now due to the virus & backlog on mail going out but Lazada has been wonderful during the lack of open computer shops & usually cheaper & have a far better warranty as they go after the seller instead of you bustin nuts to get anyone to cover broken devices that are supposedly brand new.In Fact I have 2 CPU coolers coming today ordered Sunday & Monday Kerry is delivering at 2:30 PM in Bang Saray. Just try another company on Lazada They seem to be going out of their way to make purchasers happy.

Yes but the big C & Macro really suck compared to Pattaya we live in Bang Saray & there is no comparison of the selection of Farang comforts in the 2 places going to Sattahib.  Sattahib caters way more to Thais but if your in a pinch it would work, but it is worlds apart in selection & Big C's bread really sucks.

  7. Not to mention you would not want to spend some Un quality time in a jail holding cell(not that they will incarcerate you but they would have that option especially nowhere they are not to happy with foreigners. Jails up here are you get to sleep with up to 80 people lying on a concrete floor head to toe  & No Blankets pillows or cots. I got to see 4 individuals that I had incarcerated for armed robbery in 2009 & that's what I saw. Not pretty but they did deserve the time they got to0 spend. Chances are it would only be 500 baht a day up to 20,000 Baht as described but right now it is pretty redneck out there. Best to try to contact immigration & see what you can work out.

Sir I have survived having the flu many many times already and no doubt I would survive it again....

Fforest Not the Flu & not even remotely close to it. Even I haven't had the flu or a cold for 27 years can catch it & God help you if you are overweight or have diabetes or other complications you may not come out of this easily. I have 2 dead friends in the U.S. now both thought they were impervious to COVID. Up to you though. Everyone wishes that people will use their brain &

    Use

common sense & at least do not become a calloused carrier. No one cares for this one trust me.
  9. So Glad my gal heard this news at 1 pm today. Went to Macro & stocked up! the rest we can find in Bang Saray. there are still carts & some veggie vendors not sportin masks. The heat isn't that interested here, although they did shut down one of the markets in Nong Nooch. Hopefully enough hard supplies to skate thru the lock down people driving around like absolute fools trying to road rage everywhere. Glad I have a super bike to get away from the idiots.I don't care if they want to get involved in a wreck just please be as kind to give me .5 seconds to hit it & get away from the sorry ass that never head checks traffic or hates the fact that their car or truck can't go between lanes(legal) And can't even hope to come closer to accelerating unless they own a super car.I don't sped much 120 kilo's normal but I can hit 200K in a couple seconds to save my hide.

3 Ways to Survive Under Martial Law - wikiHow

To survive under martial law, treat your new leaders with respect and obey their directions and orders. Be a friend to the regime by helping out military personnel and spreading information you have permission to disclose. To hide from the new government, stock a survival bunker with food, water, medicine, a radio, and other supplies.

Or get a fast ass mid to superbike & say See you!

  11. Glad you came out of it alright BBJ . Your Bike looks like it took a good spanking. I used to dirt ride a lot but always on bikes under 350 cc. Still hurts like a bitch when you wreck. Bike looks pretty nice again & paint is cheap here if you want to color change.

  12. Definite a poor idea to use a 2X4 for anything in Thailand. When I moved here I planned on building a great wood house like in the states. Termites are ravenous up here. Conwood or Shera would be the closest to wood that would work. I have seen Teak fall to termites up here & that is pretty hard wood. In fact we had a small amount of termites raid the underneath of our house & the only wood was a teak desk stored under the house half eaten. Cement or steel is what you use in Thailand(even though I am partial to wood- I hate re-doing things over & over.

  13. If you don't mind occasional floaters in the water.Been like that since 2004 when I got here. At least swimming pools have chlorine to kill the bacteria. Doable but not sure how healthy it is plus all the chemical runoff from roundup & such empties right into the ocean.

  14. You know for 12800 baht you can avoid(if you have to) show medical insurance or 800,000 in the bank & get a vip pass a 1 minute que front of the line in & out if you use a visa service. PM me if you want the name Painless & way worth it.So it is actually 1900 baht less when you factor in the 1900 yearly visa extension fee.And for me getting insurance is a waste. U.S. citizens I guess are required.I would rather fly home since it is next to free & I don't have to worry about subpar services.

  15. Definitely closed. No time frame when will open Boots or Watson's is open. I forget which one it is.I need to get back to JIB toi have them send back the UPS APC power bar they just sent in for repair. New but same death within 10 days. I would give Powerbuy a pass.Lazada still would be your best bet. They stand by you if something is bad.If you can try to get someone with an address & have them send it to there. I had to do that in 2009 & 2014 when we were in between getting a real address building new houses. Up to you though if you want to go through possible hell if something goes bad with what you buy at powerbuy. They will not let you talk to their headquarters & their headquarters wont pick up the phone if you call them. Kinda just like HomePro.

  16. I wouldn't go to Krabi period.

I went in 2004 right before the Tsunami & it was awesome. Chased the dream & went back in 2017 & found it was a cesspit. quadrupled in price. My Beachfront property is now gone replaced with 5000-8000 baht chalets with far less room & ambiance. Best go to either Samui or Koh Phanagen. If going to Koh Phanagen stay on the west side where places are 1000 baht & up right on the beach. Trust me Krabi is now the barrio of south Thailand. Ko Phanagen on the other hand was beautiful & people were real friendly compared to having paid an arm & a leg for a bathroom that leaked & when we complained they invited us to get. That is when we went to Koh Phanagen!

As for the virus chances are as good as getting bit by a Shark or getting hit by lightning.
