  1. Thankfully we share some interest in the same genres (horror, action, sometimes older X-rated stuff). Usually (if streaming or Blu-ray) we try a combination of english / thai - subtitles / language. Lots of fun....she's also heavy into South Korean dramas. She has a lot of husbands (Park Bo-gum, Song Jun Ki 😉).
  2. I assume it's the same if married to a Thai spouse? - right now in Thailand with a single (no multiple anymore) NON-O based on marry - later doing a 60 day extension - one week holiday in Japan - come back with 60 day visa exemption - 30 day extension - 60 day extension based on marry - going to home country for some time This sounds ok? Thanks for a hint.
  3. Thanks so much for this...love it!
  4. Married 6 years ago...as far as I remember it doesn't matter if you marry at Ban Rak or in Germany. A lot of paperwork, translations etc. has to be done anyway. We've started with this some month before. We married at Ban Rak, translated the papers to German etc., gave them to the local "Standesamt" and received a german marriage document (Eheurkunde). You not have to marry twice, because a legal marriage in Thailand is already valid in Germany.
  5. Great, thanks to you all for clarifying....!
  6. Hello out there, I have two questions in mind and I hope someone can help: I'm in Thailand using a Non-Imm O Visa (married to a Thai National, multiple entries). The visa is valid until 1st November 2024, my actual permit to stay (90 days) ends on 27th March 2024. Today I was at Pathum Thani immigration to do a 90 day report (TM47) and a 60 day extension of stay (TM 7, based on married to a Thai national). 1. My thought was, that with the 60 day extension, I'm staying more than 90 days and for that reason I have to file a 90 day report. But to my surprise the friendly officer told me (and my wife), with this visa in combination with a 60 day ext. I not have to do such a report. Is this actually the case or is it a peculiarity of Pathum Thani immigration? 2. No problem with the 60 stay extension, I can stay now unti 26th May. Shortly before this date is it possible to do another extension of stay of some sort or do I have to leave the country, to get granted a further 90 days because of my visa? Thanks so much for some hints...I appreciate it...
  7. From an interview done with him in 1988 (Hot Press): "Yeah, quite a lot Not doing anything else though just jacking it all in, doing nothing. I dream about going to Thailand and living there. It's the best place I've been abroad. I'm not counting Ireland, that's more of a second home. Thailand is a great bloody place. I could live there very cheaply, nice comfortable surroundings and nothing to do except lie around drinking all day. It costs virtually nothing to get pissed in Thailand. And they don't speak English so I wouldn't have to waste time talking to complete strangers. And they never even heard of The Pogues. They've also got a great, laid-back attitude to sex! It's a <deleted> dreamland."
  8. Thai health insurance for the retirement visa not needed anymore? That was a big discusdion two, three years ago?
  9. I'm heating my flat in the winter and checking the temperature inside the main living room from time to time with a web camera. Closing always the main water switch of course. The letterbox is cleared by a friendly neighbour I trust, who sending me photos of bills etc. He has also a key fir the flat if needed.
  10. Just a guess, because from the 90s and some sort of road movie with a female psycho (among others): Love and a 45

  12. Just thank you...hope you meet your loved ones again in the next life!
  13. Always in the passport! Thanks for the hint and to all others fulfilling the 100 %....appreciate it!
  14. I’ll ask kindly for some confirmation from experienced members. I’m 99% sure, but because doing this for the first time, I need the last 1 %....:-) I’m staying at the moment in Thailand with a NON-O E-visa based on a marriage with a Thai spouse. The visa will expire in October 2023 and is for multiple entries. Arrived in Thailand on 8th December last year, so was stamped in for 90 days until early March. Tired of doing again an extension of stay at the moment, I’ll go together with my wife on a one week holiday to Laos in Mid February. Will do a visa for this on their website https://laoevisa.gov.la/index. Flying from Don Muang to Luang Prabang and back from Vientanne to Don Muang. When arriving at Don Muang I’m pretty sure that I get another stamp for 90 Days until mid / late May. Also the deadline for the 90 day report starts again. Am I correct? Thanks so much!!!
