  1. People was always going to leave it to the last minute.. because they have bluffed about not extending Amnesty before.

    this will mean over crowding...

maybe if the “staff” ( more like kids on work experience) in immigration actually work faster they might actually be able to sort out a lot more visas but it seems they are just ticking down the clock for their lunch hour! I’ve never seen people coast so much on their job in my whole life..

MTT was a complete joke last week.. not necessarily in terms of overcrowding I heard CW was a lot worse... but the complete waste of time having to line up for some “pointless workers” checking people’s documents before they even let you in to the main room to see the dragons who also “check” again your documents and take your 1900 baht for the visa...

  2. You need 500K and 6 months of bank statements if you have a non immigrant visa but NO work permit ?

what if you have non B and a work permit acceptance letter seeing as in order to get a non B for a BOI company you need a WP3 letter as that’s one of the requirements when applying for a non B at a thai consulate outside of Thailand ...

do you still need the 500k and 6 months of bank statements if you have work permit acceptance letter ?

I *think* it's most likely a typo.  What's known so far (as reported in papers) is that the automatic extension is until the 31st.  If I'm not mistaken (though note that I have been in the past, will be in the future too!)....

The cabinet needs to approve, the PM needs to sign, and it needs to be published in the Royal Gazette before anyone can do anything.

Publication won't happen until end of this week/early next week, so as of now there is nothing anyone can apply for.  Hence the Oct 3rd being a typo.

Yeah think you might be right about that typo so let’s see.

no doubt mr burrows will break the news to his audience soon

if we can apply for this 60 day malarkey towards the end of October then I’ll be delighted.. should see us to the end of this dreadful stressful year atleast.

  4. Are those who need to report back for under consideration approval in the middle of October supposed to go before 3rd?

also what docs do we even need if not? Only a few days to sort everything and no announcement about what is needed?

once again another announcement which prompts more questions Rather than gives answers.

Must submit by Oct. 3 to stay after Oct. 31? Aren't the IO's tired? They really want all of us over the next couple of days?

Before October 3? I went on the 25th and got given a “under consideration stamp” and told to come back on the 20th October.... now what?

stay longer than October 31? Till how long then? How much? I got money lol

  6. To all the people who was wondering why people left it to last minute... THIS IS WHY!!!
because it always should of been extended... and looks like it now will!!

it seems most people will just call their bluff even more come October 31 or if they want to be mean to us again they will announce it on November 1 after we have handed over the gold.

For those of us in this situation, what is the expectation when returning on 21 October?

No TM7, just appointment and go with passport?

This follow-up date is just to stamp the approval?

My real question is this: What then?

If approved, then I have 5 days (until 26 October) to make another appointment for extension? Could I extend again that day?

Just seems like a gamble whether it's approved or not.

I very much insisted the two individuals returning the passports tell me, but all they would offer in response was "you have to return this day."

I agree if approved you’ve only got 5 days left anyway ( and by that point you should already know if your leaving Thailand or getting another covid extension from your embassy etc.. ) just a pointless extra trip for a 30 day extension and they are wondering why their office is so full.
