Hi joe, so by the looks of it they aren’t gonna give it to people who don’t need non immigrant visas?

so the tourists have to just pack up before 26th? I read somewhere yesterday’s that their was an update regarding tourist visas paying their way to stay again but according to that link you sent it seems they are only prepared to help people who ‘are not’ tourists 

Anybody from the uk managed to get a embassy letter this month to stay longer than 26th September ?

was on 60 day tourist > extended > now on amnesty. 
 

What did you write in the email when asking for an extension letter ? I obviously wanna make sure this gets sorted right away avoiding a back and forth on emails so I’m interested in knowing..

what you put ( preferably word for word and I’ll tweak it where needs be )
 

what you need to send again ( last time it was a pic of passport page with my details and latest visa stamp.

from what I’ve heard the uk embassy are terrible.

I’m planning to stay here as long as I can ain’t gonna lie fellas, pretty sure a lot of others want to aswell, don’t mind paying the fee to extend every 30 days while everywhere is shut down so hopefully this can get me to end of 2020 and go from there.

So how does one satisfy the British embassy by telling them I can’t get home?

because I wanna make sure they don’t reject my “can’t get home” plea 555

many people don’t want to pay thousands to be locked in quarentine for 2 weeks.

once again overestimating how desperate people are to return... they aren’t. 
 

it seems like you have to choose public health or the economy. You can’t have both right now clearly.

There is a lot I could say as to why this is stupid but all I will say is.... people just aren’t gonna bother... they are really overestimating how desperate people are to come back to Thailand ( not including the people who have wives/ work here )

backpackers can’t afford it simple.

more months of suffering lie ahead for Thailand with these usual fire hoops to jump through. Bali will be the next place in Asia for returnees 

Previous levels in Pattaya were still laughable.

Especially walking street is dead, lots of people passing by but all the bars are empty with only the bar girls sitting alone waiting. Nothing like it used to be.

That would definitely eliminate the idea of trying to sneak out or check out early 555

He needs to give up social media, him and twitter are like oil and water they don’t mix well. His COVID updates are ok but everything else to do with corruption and Xenophobia in Thailand is ultimately what has landed him in trouble.

most of us don’t even care and don’t go to these places anyway, those who do can’t come here anyway for a while so what’s the point poking the beehive in the mean time.

100% agree, my dad always taught me to be the grey man. A phrase they use in the SAS. It seems mr barrows enjoys the spotlight too much, I’m still convinced this is all a publicity stunt he’s going to announce next week he’s staying.. have you all seen his recent twitter post? He’s cropped his Bloody face with a police car in the background for crying out loud.

I hope things work out for him. I've never agreed with everything he does or says and have actually found his work a little fawning at times but he's a valuable resource for expats and travellers. I have met him and he seems genuine.

Completely agree. If your living in a glass house you most certainly shouldn’t be throwing stones! 
 

these countries ain’t soft like the UK but apparently after 30 years he hasn’t even realised that !

If there’s one thing I learnt growing up it’s keep your mouth shut and don’t go looking for trouble.. and trouble won’t come looking for you!

hes gotta be around 60 and just tries his best to upset the apple cart .. he has really pushed his luck the last 6 months
