What time did you go? Did you go to counter K? I showed up at MTT around 11 and they wouldn't let me in because I didn't have an appointment. It's an hour's drive away, so needless to say I was frustrated.

Beyond ridiculous that you need to book an appointment for the date they tell you to meet them.

I arrived at 11:30 and I was in and out within 5 minutes... maybe 10 including walking up and down the stairs.

no I went to counter J, J is for people who have a tourist 60 visa

K is for visa on arrivals

from what I saw in September 25, the way they run counter K is a joke, ( the one with the tent )

J is simple and it was empty... as for next week... who knows it could be chaos again.

yes I agree that turning you away is crazy especially when it was so quite today.. I think some of them just enjoy having power..

Indeed very positive outcome and feedback for many of us in a similar situation.

one quick question, did you just walk-in MTT or did you do an online booking appointment?

I didn’t book an appointment online for today no, didn’t even sign in at the door or anything.

just Went up all the stairs and showed up with my passport and walked to the counter showing my under consideration stamp saying I’m here to get this stamp finished / updated..

She told me to walk through to see the dragons. Some bloke who I did the application with on 25th September was the one who also dealt with me today and told me all this info he was very helpful and spoke good English,

When I was walking up the stairs I did notice a counter A & B had a bit of queuing at the door but I think that was for 90 day reporting or something... the tourist bit Is on the 3rd floor ( counter J )

the counter J was completely empty and I went at 11:30 so I was expecting them to be rushed off their feet just before they have their lunch but it was the complete opposite 55

  3. Hi everyone, so I extended my tourist visa at muang thani on 25th September - on time and before the deadline.

i am now under the impression those who paid on time will be stamped until November 30 now when you go back.

i was given an under consideration date until 15th October and told to come back on this date to be stamped further for the rest.

problem I have is i thought I was supposed to go on October 20 ( tomorrow ) silly of me I know. But given they have announced an amnesty until end of October. I’m wondering if I’m going to be in any trouble tomorrow when I go back to get my stamp to November 30? It’s never a pleasant experience going there for me anyway and now I’m worried

is it compulsory you go on the date in your passport Because I’m obviously 5 days too late now and has Anybody been in this situation before? @ubonjoe

    thanks in advance

  4. Do yourself a favour and scrap the STV now then. Stop embarrassing yourself thailand... we all know the real reason it’s been delayed it’s because hardly anyone has signed up!

thousands of enquiries about the STV doesn’t mean you’ve had overwhelming interest... I bet half of those enquiries were somewhere along the lines off “ which countries are eligible?” Not real interest.

    cowboys.

  5. Kiartiphum said that Thailand has won worldwide recognition for its success incontrolling the spread of coronavirus.

yes you may only have 60 or so deaths but you have 2500+ suicides as a result of people losing everything due to the governments hard over aggressive approach to ‘containing’ the virus..

total total destruction the amount of people who have lost everything because people aren’t allowed to go somewhere or do something....

this is about government control in a lot of countries and it’s no longer about containing a virus.

    1) When you go back on Oct 20th they will (Should!!!) extend your permission to stay until 30th November, if they don't try politely pointing this out to them...

(I see somebody has just replied to confirm that this is what happened to them at MTT

    2) There was a new extension announced which was due to be available from 1st November and will allow you to extend for rolling 60 days until it's deemed the CV19 situation has sufficiently changed.

Full details of this are still to be published so it's not clear whether you will need a letter from your Embassy (Early suggestions were that you wouldn't) AND/OR proof of finances (Given a 60 day Visa has been announced for people wanting to visit Thailand which requires them to have 500K in their account for the past 6 months, I would put money on some financial proof being required for this extension & wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the same... but that's me applying logic to an environment where it rarely seems to apply).

So if I’m stamped until November 30 like above states - I could perhaps get the 60 day’s if I turn up on November 30 which could give me until January 30? ?

  7. 2 questions then,

1 ) I went on 25th before the deadline and got a under consideration stamp till 20 October - so when I go back then I will be stamped till 30 November at muang thani again? Has anybody had any success doing this at MTT? I came on a TR 60 And used a covid letter this day

    2) I read somewhere that after November 30 - we can then apply for a 60 day extension or something ? Which would see us through to next year? Richard barrel posted it but half the time he is wrong

    @ubonjoe or anybody know?

IF you used an embassy letter. I got the stamp, then they voided it! (tourist visa extension)

Yes I used an embassy letter due to covid. Sorry I am not sure what you mean.

I came here on a tourist 60 - used the 30 extension, and this is my 2nd covid letter used. So I will still be granted until November 30? Seeing as I went on time before the deadline on 26 September.

my under consideration date to go back is October 20, so I’m right in thinking the dragons will just stamp me until November 30 ?

hahaha, all those poor tossers without money that spend money on AGENTS & keep corruption ALIVE

another extension (or till borders are open again) would be nice, that would make my day

I hate corruption and I don't support it

I agree.. the whole visa situation is built on corruption. It’s designed to be ‘almost’ impossible just so you use an agent and fill the pockets of immigration. LAW & ORDER!!!!
