What does this even mean?

Just looking at the Thai Embassy website for London now and it's even more difficult to make head or tail of what is required!

I don’t think you 2 know what’s involved about the cost of tests more so it has to be writing.and the results can take a couple days, in the U.K. is over £150 per test.
As all the flights currently are from London I live 400 kilometres from London tryIng to line all the tests etc would be extremely difficult.Same here plus my GP practise are reluctant to issue any certificates for anything at the moment not to mention a few weeks wait for an appointment!
There is no hope of me making it out to LOS at the minute even though Emirates flights are now permitted.
I wonder what the costs to those teachers that have made it out to Thailand from the likes of Canada have been.
For me here they are just too high to warrant putting myself through the hoops.

I have two pairs of Bluetooth headphones
Jabra Elite sport £160 - £200
AKG £150
I use a huawei p30 pro outside and a Dell 13 2 in 1 inside....I've never had a problem with bluetooth!
-
I wonder if they'll get around to posting details of this on the embassy we pages.

You are probably better going for wireless ones then you won't catch the leads as you nod off.

Looks like they have just revamped the website
Do they have a new web address as I am just getting this!

I've completely given up. How folks are managing to find the money for these extortionate flights and then ASQ is beyond me.
I'm also fuming about the Teacher flights as I probably should have been on one.....How the hell are you supposed to find out about them?
Anyone else not able to even access the London Embassy site?

It wont but I'd wager the cost of the flights will be astronomical in a bid to help save Thai Airways.

Just back from Corfu . Last minute flight return from Dublin €113... week’s accommodation €240 And Very cheap on the ground . Fresh air and clean blue seas and hot sunny weather ...
I'm actually very tempted to do just that as I'm less than an hour from Dublin and I've never been to Greece.....looks like Thailand is out for me and with it a job lol.

and thats if they can even find a flight with a seat at sensible prices ,which is unlikely for years ..they exist in a parallel universe ,where every farang has tons of cash despite the hard times, they just dont get it
Thai Airways are advertising seats in Oct and November. I'd imagine they'll be costly.

I like my women like I like my coffee.....ground up and in the freezer!

The sky has fallen in on them and all they can do is flap in ever decreasing circles.
It is not sounding like too much fun over there at the moment.........mind you it's not that much fun over here either!

Salaries in International schools are pretty much on a par with Teacher pay scales in UK. Like I said in a previous post a couple of my former pupils are teaching in a Primary up in BKK currently 90K per month.

DO you think many International teachers would pay £2842 to get out to Thailand?

Two of my past pupils are currently teaching in Bkk. Salary 90K each.....flights and insurance paid. To put that in perspective thats only a few hundred quid short of my salary here in UK and I've been teaching 23 years.
At present I am on a career break here...I have a job in Thailand but:
Covid test £200 (could be a little more or less)
Flight out of LHR £2800 one way (repat flight if I can get it)
ASQ Lucky if you can find any less than £1500
Fit to fly £30 - £50
Flight to LHR £150 - £250
There is absolutely no way I am shelling out that amount of cash to head out to what was LOS and now seems to be descending into chaos.
The downside.......I'm not permitted to work here at home on a career break......Joy abounding!
CoE questions plz help

Id be interested to hear how you get on. I've had a flight cancelled and details vanish with Emirates. I'm ex Dublin to Bkk but I have just about had it to the teeth with the <deleted>, hoops, paperwork and complete nonsense!
