There are two separate offers from Agoda. 1 Agoda cash; can be redeemed against a future booking 2 Agoda cashback; it can be requested 60 days after your hotel stay and will be credited back to your payment card 30 days after that. It depends whether the hotel you book offers 1 or 2 Never had a problem with either system.

Yet again a tourists family expecting strangers to pay for their family members lack of common sense. No insurance, no helmet, driving a scooter,(probably without a full license), In the early hours of the morning,(possibly over the limit). I live on Samui and see this kind of begging letter frequently. I feel sorry for his kids, but dad should have been more responsible. I

When I got my Thai licence 8 years ago, if you had UK licence and IDP you only did the reaction tests to get your licence. Otherwise it was a full test

So you think you could do this on tourist visa? HaHa

This happened to a neighbour of mine because he didn't ship within three months of his arrival on his long term OA visa. It is correct that new, unused items will be charged. I know this to be true as I am an ex UK Customs officer

It depends on your visa status I think. I moved here 8 years ago on a long term OA retirement visa. As long as my household goods were imported within 3 months of my arrival there was nothing to pay.

In order to drive legally in thailand on your national driving licence you must also have an international driving permit, (I believe it is the 1929 version). In the UK it is available from any post office for around 6 pounds. If you do not have an international driving permit to accompany your national driving licence, you are driving illegally. If you wish to convert/obtain a Thai licence,(motorcycle or car), you need to take 1. National driving licence, 2. IDP, 3. Certificate of residence,(one for each car and motorcycle licence required),from immigration, and medical certificate from a hospital. If you have everything then you do not need to do the written,(computer test), or the actual practical driving test,(ccars only). If you do not have the IDP then you must do the whole test procedure. For renewal you only require the Cert. Of Residence, the medical and your expiring Thai Licence. Those are the rules. No ifs or buts.

You do need a medical to renew. Did mine 6 months ago.

Scb card is initially activated for 20k. You can change this via Scb atm. Maximum single transaction limit is 30k and then make second transaction up to the card limit you have set.
