    Don't know where your getting your figures from, but I would change your policy. I came off my bike and broke my collarbone, (Dec 2023), requiring to have a metal plate put in. The Thai government insurance pays B30,000 and my class 1 paid B50,000. So a total of B80,000 for the same premium as you are paying for your not so good policy.

    Under the UK double taxation agreement, any income tax paid in UK can be offset against tax due in Thailand. In your case you should only declare any monies remitted to Thailand, ie 150k to per month.

    If you had the rbs account before you moved to Thailand and it is still active they will not close it. Only problem is Natwest issue the RBS debit cards and they will only send new ones to a UK address. Ps, they have known I live in Thailand since I moved here ten years ago

    If it's in a normal high St. Bank in the UK, you don't have to move it. I've lived here for ten years and still have my uk account,(no interest though), with RBS.

    Scb provide inward transfer papers for any foreign transfers. Just ask at your branch. Free and takes a couple of minutes.

    A blue book can be ssued to a foreigner but the name cannot be shown in it

    I think you mean Revenue and Customs, which are part of treasury and will not have your "biometrics" Customs and excise hasn't existed for about 20 years.If you're talking about passport biometrics, that will be Border Force ,(old Customs and Immigration departments), which were transferred to the HomeOffice at that time.

    There are many agents in Maenam. Two of them at Immigration. Go ask. I manage to live on a pension, like a lot If not most people, and have the money in the bank. If you think you can live here on 40,000 a month, then you are fooling yourself. Stay at home.

    Rubbish. No certified copies of passport data page and no birth certificates required. Got mine and my British wife's on Samui in July. Lawer charged 5000B each and accompanied us to Tessabhan for yellow book. Went to Amphur ourselves for pink,( not an ID) card. No problems.
