  2. By Tanakorn Panyadee Pattaya — One of the five suspects, who has been identified in a shooting at a Pattaya pool villa on October 18th, is now on an arrest warrant. Pattaya police confirmed that one of the five suspects who are still on the loose is Mr. Jirarot “Rang” Wattana. He allegedly forced his way into the rental room at a pool villa with other gunmen before being captured in CCTV footage while leaving the villa in a white T-shirt with a number 33 on the back. Rang is known to law enforcement with a previous criminal history which is how he was identified by police. Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Yuthasak Supasorn said Thailand is targeting so-called ‘revenge spending’ from tourists who are looking to swap a bleak winter at home, both in terms of the weather and rising costs, for Thailand’s tropical weather. Mr Yuthasak said that Thailand expects to see the tourists spend an average of 30 percent more per trip next year. On Tuesday, following a cabinet meeting in Bangkok, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister for the Economy Supattanapong Punmeechaow expressed his excitement at what he termed a ‘hyper-scale’ investment which he saw as a vote of confidence in the country’s digital future. Many Thai netizens and people, especially those living in the Sattahip district of Chonburi, were angry with two Thai women who reportedly posted pornographic images of themselves on a fishing boat in the Sattahip sea and, according to the netizens, invited people to join them on a four-hour fishing trip for 3,000 baht. Those outraged said the pictures and posts hurt the family friendly image of Sattahip and Pattaya. The women’s nude photos went viral on Twitter and eventually got Sattahip police’s attention. But earlier this month a man called Tanuphat or Hiso Por went one better and erected a five foot high Ultraman, the Japanese cartoon character, to make sure that he received bountiful blessing. Reporters found the headless superhero in a special area for 10,000 roosters left by the superstitious one kilometer away from the temple.   20. Picture: Thai Rath Bo Rai police in Trat, eastern Thailand, were contacted by a member of the public after an accident on a hill on the Nonsri Road. They found a white Toyota with its front severely damaged with a shattered windshield. The force of the impact had caused the steering wheel to come loose outside the vehicle. Under the wheels of the Toyota was a motorcycle and another bike completely burned out was a distance away. Dead in the bushes was one man, 30 meters away another. They were later named as Thanawat, 24, and Khongrit, 25. The driver of the pick-up would not give his name to reporters but the nickname of "Tai" was heard. He is a worker at a fruit factory, reported Thai Rath. Police tested him and found him to be drunk. Witnesses eating outside a house reported hearing a crash and loud explosion before seeing a fire. A 52 year old maid called Nitaya had arrived armed with a knife and held this to her own throat. She wanted police corporal Withawat Butaphat to find her boyfriend. Alongkorn, 22, was in a serious condition with a stab wound to the left side. He was given first aid downstairs at the flats and taken to Chonburi Hospital. But while Alongkorn had his back turned Gop grabbed a knife that was lying around on a cabinet and attacked her boyfriend. Police believe it to be a case of a love triangle and are hunting for Gop who fled the scene.
