The roadshow was arranged by the Board of Investment (BoI) and Thai trade representative chairman ML Chayotid Kridakorn. Deputy Prime Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow, who led a delegation to the roadshow in Tokyo and Kanagawa from April 19-23, has been scheduled to meet Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Koichi Hagiuda, as well as members of the Japan Business Federation, and executives of 10 companies from the automotive, electronics and medical sectors. According to the deputy prime minister, Japanese investors, taking part in the event, are provided with more information on Thailand’s S-curve industries, as well as a number of incentives and perks given to those wanting to invest in Thailand. Supattanapong explained that the government has prioritized investment as a way to stimulate the economy in 2022, and Japan is the first country to host a roadshow due to its long-standing trade relationship with Thailand. Deputy Phuket Governor Phichet Panapong disclosed that Phuket has been chosen to hold the TTM+ 2022 from June 8-10 at the Angsana Laguna Phuket resort. The event will be organized by the TAT, the Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO) and the private sector. "A" went to Ekkaphop Leuangprasert who runs the community help group "Sai Mai Tong Rort" - in northern Bangkok. The nurse met a man online in January who called himself Titan and claimed he was a well-paid captain in the Thai navy. The pair chatted until they decided to get married on April 7th. "A" thought he was the real deal and would be able to provide for her family, reported Thai Rath. But Titan soon showed his true colors trying to borrow from family and friends using her status as a nurse. He even approached her mother for 1,500 baht because he said he didn't have money for food.
