Toilet septic tank overflowing, how to solve this situation?
AndyAndyAndy replied to AndyAndyAndy's topic in DIY Forum
Yesterday I dig a small hole next to it and it stopped overflowing. And water level is keeping under the ground level. So now I'm thinking maybe a install a third tank? Current pond is a 25% of what would new tank hold. Maybe not making tank too deep so it doesn't reach ground water. Just a single concrete ring (other tanks are 2 rings) and it could disperse not only downwards but also to the sides. 🤔🤔🤔 Current pond solves the issue, it just doesn't look/smell nice. It would definitely be cheaper and quicker than a leach field. -

I have nowhere to run that water. I think I have to figure out some leach system as @Wanderer555 suggests or something. -

Yes, there is a is 80cm of normal soil and then I hit clay and ground water. Because of ground water I can't dig any deeper. -

Yes, we did that. Helped for a week before tank filled again and started leaking again. -
Toilet goes to tank 1, through overflow underground pipe to tank 2 (which is overflowing and leaking). Underwound water is quiet high here, about 80 cm deep you are already in water which is part of the problem. How do I solve this without rebuilding complete septic system? One of my ideas is making some basic leech field (but I couldn't find any hardware in Thailand, do they even do this here?). I was thinking buying 10 metres of blue pipe, drill holes in it, connect it to tank 2 and burry it. But I have zero experience. These tank are basically just 2 concrete rings burry in a ground.

My original plan was to use clear roof sheets. But everybody (Thais) say I need to use metal sheets, because "it's going to be too hot under it". (this is sunny side of the house, 10:00- 18:00) And out of 17 sheets use just like 2 clear sheets and 15 solid. But I worry about making our living room + bedroom into dark tombs. Especially if you consider huge overhang on all sides of the roof. Anybody has clear roofing? And experience? What I wanted to use What everybody recommends House

I'm in my mid 30s and I need a few better fitting shirts. I have some 500 Baht shirts but in all of them I look like a guy on the right. It's my size - but it hangs on me like a sack of potatoes. I don't know if I should shop more expensive, 3000 - 5000 Baht shirts fit better? Or does it have to be custom tailored - is it how people make it look like on the left? Somehow I skipped on this life lesson so I'm little bit lost here. ????

During raining there's a water dripping on a ceiling (2 spots). And it is eating through drywall's ceiling into rooms. Because water can run some distance before dropping it is hard to pin point exact location. Three people were already on top of the roof and none of us can find where it is coming in. There are no obvious spots where would water be pooling, no cracked roof tiles. But it is somewhere upper in this triangle. So that's the first problem, can't find it. Second problem is what type of products are available for fixing this kind of roof? Workers are of course recommending cheapest 60 Baht tube of silicone /or/ paying them to make a new roof. ????♀️ I think it should be some product similar to tar? I need something to fill the obvious holes and cracks (second picture, cement was used - but I don't it is coming in through here, because it is downwards slope and it's on a wrong spot). And also question if there isn't available some thick sealing "paint". Paint the entire roof over, let it go in all cracks and solve it like this.

In the past 2 weeks we killed 2 huge spiders in the bathroom. And I mean huge. Bigger than the palm of the hand. And you can literally see their eyes and fangs and are absolutely terrifying. ???? ???? ???? They can't get in through ceiling. Window hash a mesh. And only way in is through bedroom which also has a mesh on doors. And would be even more terrifying if this was their point of entry. ???? Can they get in through drain or something? I don't think they could have a nest in the bathroom itself (it's pretty clean and neat bathroom, probably not)? ???? Does anybody has any more info on these bastards?

Phuket Immigration discovers 186 visa overstayers in just 7 days
AndyAndyAndy replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
My friend died a few months ago. After about 4 months squad of immigration officers arrived at his former house. Blocked frond entrance. Blocked rear entrance. Rounded up everybody in the house. Swept the inside, swept the outside. Turned out they didn't get the memo about his death. And thought he was overstaying for a month or something. Poor wife was shaken by this raid for the rest of the week. ???? -
I need air con for 2 rooms, each is 35m^3. Never done it. - Do I just drive to HomePro, Global House, pick 2, bring it home and just find some local somchai to install it? Is is easy like that? - When they are advertising eg. 14 000 Bath does it include also the box on the outside of house and all the required stuff like some hoses etc. (they always advertising/showing just inside box)? - What size/wattage or something do I need? Could I use just 1 outside box to share it, since the rooms are next to each other? - Do I want inverter? Is there something more to it?

What even made you wake up one morning and be like "I didn't have enough third world bureaucracy, I know what, I'm gonna export 300 Bath Buddha statue" ???? Anyway if you're looking for an inspiration on your arrival back, you could try to import your 15 years old Ford Escort from your home country, it also seems to be a very popular endeavor around here. ???? -

Stray dogs intimidate foreign tourists at Krabi’s Ao Nang Beach
AndyAndyAndy replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
Today was market in our village. And stray dogs were hanging out and looking desperately at people at a stand that sold grilled chickens. So I went ahead and bought 3 pieces of grilled chicken on stick. And gave it to each of dogs. ???? Long live the stray dogs. ???? Let the cowardly farang dog haters seethe. ???? -
