Not hospital, lower level, where people get in for free with their small health problems, I dont know the correct word, like a little hospital without beds, only for people who can walk in and walk home again, in the west we could compare it with a doctors practice, but here it is public and for free. I think they also make some general health registrations there. I think every subdistrict must have such a clinic.

There are some posts stating that registration for foreigners will only start in July with vaccinations starting in August. But you have successfully registered so if not in June then you should be first in line in August if that is the case.
Either way, I wish you well .
Thanks, time will show when they will be ready to begin

I suspect you registered only ??
Please elaborate .
Now they only registrate, they still not have the vaccine, they hope they will begin in june. It looks it will be with the local produced Astra Zeneca. They inform they will call on the phone, when they are ready to begin the vaccinations.

If I should use an agent, I would be sure about the agent, that he is not a "fake" one with his own rubber stamps, because then you will get problems.
As far as I am informed, the individual IM officer have the power to do his own decissions, when we are talking about retirement visa, correct me if I am wrong. It seems that some agents together with some IM officers can do individual retirements visa. If my informations is right, then it should be legal, to get an individual retirement visa.
Mariage visa is another case, several IM officers/departments must look at it, that make it difficult to make "individual" solutions, I would never talk with an agent who offers marriage visa without the client have the money or income (400,000 baht)
The other day I see a 3 month visa given because of sickness, did not know that was possible, but it just shows that the IM officer have some power to do individual solutions. The man who get this visa is realy sick, so it shows some humanity from the IM officer, and I think the agent who helped with the visa shared some thing with the IM officer.

I was in BKK bank to get some informations/codes for making internet banking, then suddenly the banklady begin to talk about assurance, I asked her about the conditions and about it was on the list for immigrations visa required assurances. She did not know. I then asked her for a price for good covering with sickness with in and out hospital covering and she find a price at 60.000 baht, I told her I would look at it at home, I think she was happy not to talk more about it. I got my internet codes and not a word more about assurance.
It looks like the staff is informed to sell this assurance things, the staff have free hands to force this sh.t on the customers, I think. In my case the bank lady was not good educated in what she was informed to sell.
My advice when you go to the bank and they begin to talk assurance, do it in the thai way, smile, be polite, talk bla bla and tell them you will be very happy to look seriously at it at home.

You might also wish to consider contacting Wise in order to "tag" your Bangkok Bank account, as suggested by @john terry1001 in the thread linked below. This is what I have done (subsequent to my statement to the contrary in that thread!) as a "belt and braces" measure to guarantee the coveted FTT coding for each of my monthly transfers to my Bangkok Bank account.
Thanks Ojas for using your time.
I will tag/choose long term stay in Thailand when setup the transferment from TW to Bangkok bank.
I will call TW to make their attention on the tag at my preferred bangkok bank account.
Thanks for these important details.
Have a good day

I have both Krungsri and Bangkok Bank accounts. Getting the right code for transfers into the Krungsri account was a hit and miss affair (I'd often get the TN code for no apparent reason), so I now only have my monthly transfers go to the Bangkok Bank account. In order to ensure you get the proper FTT code, be sure that the transfer itself is in foreign currency (dollars, pounds, etc.), not in baht.
Thanks for the answer
I will now also let my monthly transfer go to Bangkok Bank.
Yes you got a point about the currency, I must look after that when I set up the transferwise transfer to Bangkok Bank.
Have a nice day

The issue is more to do with the partner bank which Wise use to process a particular transfer at the Thai end initially. They use 1 of 3 banks for this purpose - Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn or TMB. So in your case Krungsri will, in due course, receive the transfer from 1 of these 3 banks, which will be classed as an internal transfer in your passbook. What I would strongly advise you to do, therefore, is to get your monthly transfers credited to your Bangkok Bank account. Provided that, when setting up a transfer with Wise, you state the reason as being "Funds for long-term stay in Thailand", this should alert Wise to the need to use Bangkok Bank as their partner bank in your case, meaning that the credit to your account with that bank will be assigned the coveted FTT (standing for "Foreign Telegraphic Transfer") coding in your passbook and recorded as an "International Transfer" in statements.
Hi Ojas
Thanks for the good answer, that tells me what to do.
I have to send the money to my Bangkok bank account from transferwise. Maybe I will transfer the money to Krungsri in the end, after I get the transfer "printed" in the bangkok bank account.
Have a Nice day

Proof of monthly income, retirement extension, hope somebody can help with this bank technique:
I just got retirement visa, get it on 800000 in bank, but want to change to a mix of income and bank, so now I must prepare the proof of my monthly income for the extension next year.
Until now I am using transferwise and send the money to Krungsri bank every month.
As I understand, the shortcodes on the bankstatements is telling where the money is comming from etc..
I am not sure about these bank short codes, I got a TN code when I send money with transferwise to Krungsri, tn is shortened for "transfer deposit nobook", that does not tell it is an international transferment ?
AS teller information they write : Imex trade for bigger amounts and 1274h for smaller amounts ?
Do Krungsri not get the money directly, or do they need to use another thai bank to handle the internatinal transferments ?
Is there a way to make this, so I still can use Krungsri and get proof of monthly international transferments, or do I had to change bank.
If I had to change bank, what banks can make a clear proof on the bank statements, I have an account in Bangkok bank, but are very happy to use my local Krungsri branch.
Thanks in advance

You can apply for the extension based upon retirement using a combination of money in the bank and income totaling 800k baht.
To prove the income you will letter from your embassy if they do them or proof of 12 months of transfers into a Thai bank from abroad.
The money in the bank portion must be in the bank for 2 months when you apply and for the 3 months after that day. And then at least half of it will need to be in the bank for until you top it up to the required amount to apply for the next extension. Before reducing the amount afterword you will need to confirm how much your local office requires to be kept in the bank.
Hi Ubonjoe
Thank you for a serious an precisely answer, I appreciate that.
So there is no limits for how much shal be monthly income and how much min in bank ?
That means that I must begin now to be able to proof the monthly income.
Thank you again

I just got a retirement visa, based on 800.000 in bank method.
Now I am thinking about the extension next year, actually we would like to use some of the money in the bank, to make the life here more comfortable.
How is it about mixing income and bank ? I have some pensions I can documentate and some other outside income I can not /will not tell about to IM in details.
As an example: Can I make income with my documentated pensions at 30.000 baht a month and then fill up with a thai bank account at 440.000 baht ?
Where to find some immigration rules about this ?
I will be happy at serious answers
Thanks in advance

I bought one transportable 12000 BTU air conditioner last year.
My experience is ok, it needs to have a flexible 6 inch pipe to the outside, the water getting condensated and get out together with the hot air in the flexibe pipe. For the 6 inch pipe it needs a little installation, but not more than most can do it DIY.
It is noisy, you have the compressor together with the cooler radiator inside the room. I think it is a little more expensive in use than a wall mounted air conditioner with an outdoor compressor, our electric bill rise about 1000 baht in the months where we use it about 10 hours a day.
I bought it in Thai Watsadu at 7000 baht, it was an offer, I dont know the price now, it has a name Zagio

It seems that farangs can get caught in a grey zone about covid vaccinations.
What thai official tells, it looks they only care of thai citizens.
Many of our born countries also seems not to care about people who are living outside the country.
Well I think/see some private thai hospitals will offer vaccinations to very overcharged prices, there was already an example in Bangkok with a private hospital who offered vaccination for around 10000 baht without having the vaccine, this is not the right way to get the vaccination, to make some greedy thai speculants happy, I think. A Pfizer or Moderna vaccine from USA/Europe cost around 1000 baht, the oxford vaccine cost around 100 baht.
I have still not seen or heard about any serious vaccine offers with quality western vaccine to farangs in Thailand, which will be avaiable this or the next year ?
What to do ?

Is the situation happening before or after shopping payment ?
If it was happening before payment it is absolutely non forgivable, that would be normal misunderstanding, happening very often in a supermarket and normaly handled with a smile.
If it is happening after payment it could look like a robbery, and then he have right to act in my mind, maybe he overreact to the little woman, thats another talk.
To see what is right or wrong I would like to know was the situation happening before or after payment ?

Take a look at second hand cars at KAIDEE.COM.
Some categories keep the value and other lost much money a year.
Keeping the best values seems to bee diesel pickup trucks with some years, the models with new suspension types can be ok comfortable, many of them is avaiable as vans if you dont like the farmer look
To buy used, the brand with most safe value for used car seemes to be Toyota, Isuzu is another strong brand when we are talking about the pickup types.
The MPV/SUV categories seems to be more price variable(risky)

Using the solar panels to drive the equipment is not the way to go.
Simply put the equipment should be driven by batteries . The solar panels charging the batteries.
Calculate your power requirements.
Then determine battery capacity.
Finally required solar panels to recharge the batteries.
I agree, this is the best way. But it looks to me he was interested in a cheap installation.

The aprox costs for a off grid battery "1200 watt solarpanel" installation is: panels 4*4000 - 16000 baht, battery for solar panel use min. 6-8000 baht, inverter/controller 6-8000 baht, cables etc 4-5000 baht, installation ? total around 35000 -40000 for a DIY installation
