  1. Not my phone but I was driving when my car got hit by lightening, one almighty bang, melted the battery, blew the fuses and burnt out the loom, just as well it was a skip any way a good reason to scrap it.

  2. Q: How many women with PMS does it take to change alight bulb?

A: One!!! ONLY ONE!!!! And do you know WHY?

Because no one else in this house knows HOW to

change a light bulb! They don't even know that the

bulb is BURNED OUT!! They'd sit there in the dark

for THREE DAYS before they figured it out!! And,

once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to

find the light bulbs despite the fact they've been in

the SAME CUPBOARD for the past 13 YEARS! But

if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find

the bulbs 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to

stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would

STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT

WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE STUPID LIGHT BULBS CAME

IN!!! BECAUSE NO O NE EVER CARRIES OUT THE

    GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL

SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE A FOOT

DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!! IT WOULD TAKE

AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE!

I’m sorry. What was your question?

  3. Does anybody know where I can get the information on how to grow the vegetables pesticide free?

My wife was talking about it for the farm, however she is not computer literate and though I could possibly find websites, they will be in Thai and I wouldn't nave a clue.

    yes you don't apply pesticides

you make it more friendly for the things that dont eat your veg but eat the beasties that do.

  4. I’m new to this forum and to the internet so will someone please tell me what a “troll” is?

Also is it compulsory to quote whole posts then add just one line?

  5. Tom.

What gives you the idea that low carb diet is unhealthy?

We as humans have eaten meat from the time we came down from the trees.

Take a look at the Eskimos, Australian aboriginals, Icelanders and any other natives that lived on meat and fat without eating Carbohydrates as a staple.

All without exception now have high rates of obesity and diabetes.

  6. "Dr Burnsteins Diabetes Solution". Should be the bible for all diabetics.

Like you I was diagnosed with diabetes and decided that I didn’t want to be a diabetic, so I searched the web until I found like minded people.

I now live a normal lifestyle well normal for me.

Diabetes UK, USA, or any other country you wish to look at are charities and do SFA to help diabetics, even today after research has shown their recommended diet is the best way to get diabetes, but they still recommend high Carbohydrate diet.

How did I do it? :D

Never ever eat anything that has added SOY or made from soy,

    I only eat organic vegetables.

80% of my diet is a mix of fat and protein. Organic meat is very hard to find in the UK.

I do eat Carbohydrates but I limit them to the point where the amount is so small it doesn’t matter.

And the result is, at 5’10’’ weight 13 stone now 4 stone lost (56lb) blood pressure 130/75 fasting glucose 5 mmo/l not bad for a man of my years (62) :o

And my doctors answer is that the lab must have made a mistake in my blood diagnosis :D

  7. Sorry Gerd but the Discovery Channel is :o

there is a guy in the USA, James Randi who will pay $1,000,000 cash to anyone who can demonstrate this ability.

he has had the cash in the bank for the past 10 years that I know of.

  8. My husband made friends in the UK at the local adult ed college, these weren't thai people but an older mayasian women (who was brought over by her daughter so was bored & attended classes daily) a teenage singaporean girl & a couple of eastern european guys. Once he had more confidence & got work he made a lot of thai male friends (from the resteraunt he works at friday & saturday nights) & also with the maintenance man & burser at the school he works at during the day. It did take him a long time to get out & about & meet people though but he is a very quiet man generally & doesn't need a lot of people around him.

Cheap call numbers & the net were what he really relied on though, for calling up his mates & family in LOS & swapping emails with his old musician buddies.

The food issue is really important IMO, imagine when you are in LOS, do you eat thai food ALL the time, most of us don't & need our little special things from home so thai people are the same IMO. Research the local supermarkets & make sure she knows the route on the bus or by car so she doesn't rely on you to ferry her around.

I hope she enjoys it, my hubby loves living here in the UK, he still loves thailand but also sees the good things about here too.
