    Sukhee explained that the luggage had been given to him by a foreign man he had met in Phuket. The foreigner asked him to carry the bag to France, where someone would collect it. Growing suspicious of the bag’s contents, Sukhee sought assistance from the embassy and Thai police. Sukhee is very clever indeed !

    Yes sure. You arrive in an hotel, and they dont ask you to pay or give a credit card print. And not ask your passport in the case of the dutch guy. You are welcome !

    Landed today at 5.30 PM in Phuket. Went to the booths selling minibus tickets in domestic airport. First one : no have. Second one : no have. 3,4,5 no have. But have taxi. Wanted to go to chalong Circle. 1 100 bahts. my turn to say. : no Have. In the end and probably because i speak thai with south accent, find a taxi for 700 bahts. My question is : where are the minibus ?

    Apparently, the plane has landed at 12.51 yesterday.

    No scan at all at my local Makro. 4 years a go, you needed to have a temporary card, not anymore.

    Where in Phuket province can I see the islands on the picture ? Look to me that it is koh Lakbia, in Krabi province....

    What about the thousands of burmese taking jobs from thais in restaurant, hotels, building sites ? Maybe jobs Thais dont want to do anymore ?

    "The current 145-kilometre road journey between Krabi and Phuket airports takes three and a half hours." That must be on a bicycle. Phuket Airport to Krabi, via the short cut near Ao Luk is about one hour and a half, Two hours if raining heavily.

    have the same phone number for 20 years, but new passport with letters as well as numbers. So what we do now ? Buy a new sim and get it registered by the bank ?

    Yes retirement. Appointment at 10.15. Off with the paper to get back the passport the next day at 10.45

    Just to say that the appointment system worked for me. In 25 minutes, everything sorted.

    Actually it was on wednessay night March 6th, and i was attending bars with live music, namely No Name bar and Sutin. So not really the answer...

    According to some thai people, it was supposed to be midnight closure in all of Phuket, and related to the story of the swiss guy ! Really confusing ! Some of them say that the bars will close at midnight again today. Very strange. Anyway, i do not go to bars often, so i will not be able to confirm. Were the bars open after midnight in others places ?
