Thailand is easily the worst run country on the planet.

Oh so now we don't need to be vaccinated. Oh lovely LOL! ???? This will get reversed too. Don't worry, this is only the end of the first inning. We've got eight more to go! In order to get into public office in Thailand it's not necessary but preferable that you be dropped on your head a minimum of ten times as an infant.

Yep. Im a person who understands Thailand fairly well - relatively speaking - but this all sounds silly. People who have all these stories have them all their lives - generally speaking. So there's one side of the story. I bet the other side of the story is interesting too.

They don't see anything coming because they don't want to see a thing. Sucks if you just had COVID. You will test positive for a long long long time. Best to just hang out and forget Thailand. As I've written before all this nonsense is not worth it. If you're vaccinated like I am when will they start testing again at the airport? They change things for no real reason on a dime. I go elsewhere now. When things calm down I'll return. It's way too early for me.

You'll find out when you get there LOL. Is it worth it to you? I've never seen such a backwards country with obscure rules that change continually and with little to no notice. And believe me, they don't give a toss if you like it or hate it.

Ah yes, see? The goal posts have moved again. ???? They are getting quicker and quicker at it too LOL. I"m vaccinated and any country that requires testing when I arrive I wouldn't travel to. Particularly Thailand. What will they do if you are positive? God only knows. Maybe you will be going to a hospital to stare at the wall and your insurance won't cover it. NO THANKS.

Or you could just move on, accept the fact that not only do they not want the vaccine but enjoy seeing people like you freaking out over things that you cannot control. Maybe it's time to get another hobby.

Related but unrelated to the story, we have a person from the UK here who got triple sick - flu, covid, and something else. He's in rough shape. This buffoon chose to not get any medical insurance whatsoever and people are freaking out because its 7k per day in the hospital. Do I contribute to gofundme pages like this? Oh hell no. When I get insurance in Thailand it specifically states what I can and cannot ride when it comes to motorcycles. Easy peasy. And it also states that if I am doing anything illegal my insurance is null and void. Easy peasy.

I totally get that but one thing that we all need to be cognizant of is that travel is not the same since COVID 19 happened. Frankly, I think this approach Thailand is taking is preposterous but every country can suddenly change things. Japan, Korea, Canada, USA just changed it suddenly, so can other countries. Best thing to do is get your shots and hope for the best. If you didn't then you've got more worries travelling than most. And that is a simple fact now.

I truly don't care because I am vaccinated,, but you can clearly see they are doing this to not offend their big brother. But then why is everyone surprised? Past behaviour is indicative of future behaviour. Truth be known, they don't give a jolly good toss about the unvaccinated - they are going after the greatest numbers, end of story. They will toss you aside like an old rag to achieve that goal. Same same.

It's not terribly confusing, just look at entry requirements and ensure wherever you live you don't need a test either. I mean, let's be frank, who wants to go to india anways? I'm sorry for the news story but honestly I don't think Indians are travelling in great numbers anyways.

Die here, die there, it doesn't matter. The matter is that health care is already overrun. Thats all. Honestly I don't give a toss about COVID. Its what the bizarro country is doing.

LOL. 40-50 percent of an entire plane has been positive with COVID from China right now. It's happening. Im not afraid of COVID. Can the hospitals handle the additional stress? That is why countries are insisting on a negative covid test prior to departure not because they are afraid of COVID. It's a total joke now but when you get overrun with it its a big problem.

I agree there is a sheer number from that gargantuan population that could go there. I just openly wonder if they CAN get there. Time will tell - my opinion doesn't matter, what happens will happen. By the way, they will not live there full time, and I still fail to see how buying a condo would benefit anyone in their situation. After all, if you're not Thai nobody is going to buy your condo unless you drop the price dramatically.

I'm not sure about that. It sounds like China is hurting really bad right now. They are having some serious growth issues. Not to mention half of them don't even own a passport right now because the office was closed for 3 years.

Wasn't the mandatory covid insurance from Thailand? LOL! They're coming so don't worry about it. And they're voracious, ready for the all-you-can-eat poor manner fest. Hmm... I wonder if I can change "poor" with "horrific" manners. Or would "truly horrific manners" be going to far? I"m thinking not.

Canada just announced it too. Its happening slowly. Let's keep our heads out of the clouds; there is no way Thailand will insist on it. Not a chance.

Definitely not lest they upset big brother. I give you a 100 percent chance they will NOT have any requirements.

Of course the problem is not necessarily COVID its the low vaccine uptake, garbage vaccine that they have (yes, garbage) and health care systems that are at the brink already. Even though a small percentage will get sick enough to get to the hospital its enough to overwhelm an already overwhelmed system. I know that Thailand will stick its head in the sand and welcome them doors wide open LOL! Big brother says they are open now. ;D
