  1. FYI I have departed from and arrived at SVB 3 times in recent weeks. Each time I haved used the autogates on departure and the non autogates for Thai citizens on arrival.
  2. Agreed except traffic on these soi probably worse especially when a bike lane is initiated.
  3. You are frequenting the wrong places. Visit PARQ, Park Silom, Lake Ratchada and many more.
  4. You clearly know little about females in Bangkok/Thailand. In professional positions such as accounting, legal, donors, banks, airlines, etc.....etc, as well as entrepeneurs there are thousands and thousands and more females who are fluent or almost in English. These women are attractive, smart, well travelled internationally, etc and a high % are unmarried and never have been. I know because since the mid 1990s until I retired from working in Thailand I employed many females, as well as working with females in sub-contrac tors, lawyers, etc. Go to eat in any office building at lunchtime in Bangkok and females outnumber males. Genuine and many attractive females and I guess a high % are unmarried, don't have a partner, maybe never have.
  5. Deserving of a PhD! I learnt more (or less?) in a 2 minutes read than 30 years in Thailand.
  6. Share price is approx 60% of high in 2014 so this should be taken into account when considering % dividend which in last 2 years has been 75-80% of net profit.
  7. The only way to fly is not Economy. I was fortunate to have an Employer who paid for Business Class on all flights partly as I was travelling 300,000 miles per year for more than 5 years; now as I am working much less still more than 150,000 miles per year. I don't drink alcohol, rarely eat on flights (mostly only if genuine Japanese food), rest if not sleep deeply, read and work. Flying is mostly about going from A to B, sometimes via C. Many times I would travel back from Africa via Dubai, arrive late at night at SVB, sleep in the airport rather than going home then on an early morning flight to Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Kathmandu, .... I am fortunate that I cannot remember suffering from jet lag. After millions of miles I don't care much about the new menu for example.
  8. I opened an account using my Thai address more than 10 years ago. In those days it was easy to open an account; nowadays maybe not so easy.
  9. I have Permanent Residence and last month after using the normal immigration lanes at Thai Airways Business Class I went to the Immigration counter and asked if I could use the autogates and was informed yes. Will leave again tomorrow and ask but not take the risk of using autogates yet. Over the last 2 years I have asked Immigration many times and received differnt answers. Pre-covid I register for the then autochannels and used them about 100 times on departures and arrival.
  10. Did register or chedck what needs to be done at CW?
  11. After using TG fast track immigration on departure about an hour ago I went to the main Immigration and asked if PRs can use autogates. I was informed that PRs can use autogates on departure (if passport has an e chip), but on arrival have to use the manual lanes and get a stamp in the passport and PR book. There was no queue at the autogates on departure in the above area at 8:00 pm and more than 20 auogates I would think for non-Thai Nationals. Currently autogates are being installed in the area adjacent to the existing fast track (A and B).
  12. Have you met any females in the age range you mention who are actively keeping fit and not sitting in bars? Try yoga, have a private yoga class with one of the many 30-40 something teachers that my wife and I know, run in a Bangkok park at the weekend. You will meet real women and a high percentage of them are single and have never been married. Latter appplies in the banking and legal sector, careers with donors, etc.

  14. Villa - try the location near Soi 33.
  15. Boonthavorn - lots of choice.
  16. CDC has shops in various price ranges for furniture, bathroom fittings, etc. May not be your cup of tea in terms of price (?) but maybe useful to look for ideas.
  17. Are you sure that your gf is not reading this?
  18. Sometimes when I am in the queue for Hermes and then LV.
  19. For repeat visits with so much variety and at different seasons then Japan by far, but then I have been about 30 times on business and vacation throughout the country and in all seasons. Overall my favourite country by far for repeat visits and not as expensive for day to day living as many people think. For a first visit this very much depends on season and duration of visit, what person wants to see and visit. I just returned from 2 weeks in Japan and for some it may not be the optimum time due to weather (rain and humidity). Of the other less less developed perhaps countries Laos was always my favourite dating back to the second half of the 1990s but in recent years not so much due to the influence of another country, first visited Myanmar in the late 1990s for about three weeks when there few tourists and one the most enjoyable holidays that I had, as was Angkor Wat about the same time.
  20. You can read my comments on Cameratas Guide........ After 100 times approx using auto gates prior to December 2021 current situation is frustrating.
  21. First check how many points you can obtain based on your current situation and how many more points you could 'easily' obtain if needed. Consider the timescale for each in conjunction with comments that you will see on another thread.
  22. Departed a weeks ago and was informed that I needed a stamp in PP and White Book - this was after using Fast Track Immigration. Different response to previous times.
  23. ALL OF THIS I KNOW AS A LONG TIME PR AND OWNER OF MORE THAN ONE PROPERTY. JUST GAVE A MORE SIMPLE ANSWER.
  24. Blue book is for Thai Nationals. If a Thai National lives at this condo and blue book is in this person's name then with agreement he can be included in the book.
