I have recently started using a VPN (and switched on ‘cleanweb’) specifically for this site. It works very well to stop pop-ups and ads. Hallelujah.
However - many other sites I visit are slow to connect (or will not) - so I often have to pause the Surfing shark while I connect. A small price to pay IMO.

In Australia in the 70s we thought the Brits killed their industry by producing rubbish quality cars. We had Leyland and morris vehicles . They were absolute <deleted>. Marina, and the locally engineered P76 - absolute cr#p.
I had a few British cars, triumph Herald - great to look at, but not a great driving experience (!) . Jensen interceptor - a brilliant car ruined by British electricals (Lucas) , & a Hillman Hunter Estate while working in the UK - more cr #p. The 79 3 door Range Rover I had was fun to drive -but crazy thirsty - but the torque body roll you got when you revved that insipid 3.5 V8 made you forgive it!
The quality & reliability of the vehicles made in the UK in the 70s and 80s was abysmal - and that led to their demise. After this the UK car industry was more construction , not design.

IMO the car is no longer a 'classic' car after the conversion.
It may be more user friendly, and 'modernised' - but it is no longer Original.
The value in a Classic Car is its' originality - its Pedigree.
I have looked at some Classics here in Thailand with a view to buying them - but then walked away after discovering the original engine has been replaced with a Toyota engine! If I opened the hood and saw an electric motor - I would run not walk!

Any time I’ve sold something here in Thailand, be it a watch, car, motorcycle etc... I’ve always written the Ad in two languages... In English, then Google Translate into Thai (and asked the Wife to check it)..
I also always put the number down for a Fluent Thai Speaker (Wife) and and English Speaker (myself)... that opens things up a bit as Thai’s do prefer to deal with Thai’s unless the prospective buyer has semi-decent English.
I’ve not encountered any difficulty because I’m not Thai.... there are usually simple ways around a lot of hurdles.
I do exactly the same thing - but have still had little response. (In saying that, I have sold 4 cars & 3 drones over the last 2 years - but I price fairly for a quick sale)
Yes - resellers are a pain - and generally try to beat you down drastically on price.
All I can say is that buying and selling of vehicles was much easier in my home country (Australia)

If I was looking for a small hatch now - Mazda 2 or 3 would be on the top of my list.
I do not rate quality of Mitsubishi or Nissan - so agree with your wife there.
Yaris is a bit tinny - and like you, I am no fan of CVT. We had a Honda HRV and the transmission was not impressive!
I find Suzukis & MGs uninspiring and cheap feeling!

Yes - especially the tail light delete - to make other road users more attentive - moreso at night

I asked the wife how old the kids have to be to ride a motorbike?...….she said in Isaan as soon as they don't fall off they are old enough.......near us I would say most are about 12 to 13 when they start to ride......parents must buy them AND the modified exhausts they all have fitted.
You neglected to mention the mandatory removal of the 'uncool' mirrors...

Take it to a few tents and get offers.
Add 80 to 100k and thats your private selling price.
I got no serious responses from FB marketplace or One2cars - eventually found a lucky buyer on Bahtsold.
In my experience, private car sales by a non-Thai speaker can be more difficult here.

We have 3BB & their streaming speeds are fine for youtube & Netflix - but we routinely have service interruptions once or twice weekly because of cable issues. When we move house we will change to AIS

You can see the video in the Thai Rath link. The first motorcycle made a successful crossing, the second one was not successful.
VERY graphic content! Bang!

There are butterflies there - but many species are seasonal. However what you are seeing is a worldwide phenomenon - where insect numbers are rapidly declining, due to injudicious insecticide use and more importantly habitat destruction.
As a kid in my native Australia, I remember driving holidays where we would have to stop every few hours and clean the dead bugs off of the windscreen - that has not happened for nearly 30 years there now.
The insect biomass is reducing annually - and when they are gone - we will be too!

OK. Bump. I am tired of this car taking up space under my carport - I am now accepting 395,000 Baht - or very near offer.
As an aside - AN car classifieds are not very successful!! I see many Ads with many views - but no replies. Too much pecuniary embarrassment here I fear..

If you are making a profit from the sale - I understand your concern. If not - I would just walk away and let your ex deal with it. I have no constructive advice, I’m sorry - but if you can just go - and make a clean start - you will be much better off.

Crazy numbers! Surely if renters could check that customers have a motorcycle licence - and insurance, things could improve. Maybe even stronger plastic helmets ⛑️ - 555. But - this is Thailand. Motorcycle renters are after money , and people who come here on holiday know that they can do anything they want, and nothing bad will happen to them . Hell - they are on holidays…

Welcome back Rooster. Glad that you are looking after No. 1. It is so important- and yet neglected by many (or simply denied).
I too enjoy your weekly perspective. Cheers ????

Seller own fleet, packed for a week, China of course.
I have had many orders like this. Often it is marked as packed, with no further shipping information. Then the order is delivered normally…. I have learnt to chill and be patient!
