Language teaching in Thailand is not good! They not teach speaking or conversational understanding at all! They focus writing and reading. Every Thai who pronounce well english has lived in English speaking country.

Many farang think Thai's and other asian woman are under they "level". They treat they wife's like dogs or cheap maid's, that really DISGUST ME! They use they better wealth and education level to dominate woman. Many of those men never get woman whitout money! They bring wife's to own country where woman's are really miserable. Don't generalize, many woman in Isaan has money. You say all woman in Udon or Khon Kaen are poor? Not everybody live in some mountain village where dont have tv or running water. Still is almost same system even is in online sell! People who have quota get the tickets and sell forward. My Mrs. has 1 quota (friend has 4). 1 quota hold 1000 ticket. Mrs. buy 70 bth/each. From government bank account they automatically take off 70k bth before tickets coming on market. Then come vertification number on your phone that you can pick up tickets from post office. There is many different kind quota now, some dont even have paper tickets but can put tickets to sell in same internet system. I think those tickets get profit 6-10 bth/each. Mrs. sell all tickets range 80-90 bth/each normaly in 2 days! People still want really desperately those tickets even its more hard now to sell. Hole lottery system has been and is biggest government scam ever. People who know system get quotas whit poor family members name and haddle the hole thing(and take most money).

I have one time entering Thailand like that and my return flight was close those days. But that was about 6 years ago. And airline company was Turkish Airlines. Hole flight was from Helsinki via Istambul to Bangkok

Finnair has required return ticket when fly to Thailand from Helsinki. Has been they policy. I dont know why chance they policy if fly from Stocholm , destination and requirements are same anyway. But many guys can help you whit take "onward" ticket from Thailand so maybe that make the same thing. Many from Finland has chance the return day afterwards but cost something 150€. Thai residence or hotel need inform police that in they premises live foreigner . Maybe they mean that, every bigger hotel doing that. But if you stay Thai house , house owner whitch read in blue book need do that. Normaly not get fine if not do that but fine is 2000 bth if i remember right.
