  1. Saw Neurologist yest hence my comment re not much faith He just agreed with me that the obvious thing to do was to revert to the original dose of Depakine which I'd already implemented myself Thanks for the other names though, useful to have
  2. i will attempt to answer all questions above Im 60 this year and I have suffered from classical migraines for c.25 years that start with visual disturbances which are remarkably similar in pattern and length. My vision goes 'crazy' for almost same time (circa 40 mins) each time after which i get a bad headchache which can vary from a dull ache to excrutiating. Also feel sick and nauseous. Episodes last from 3 to 24 hours I am aware they can come in clusters but ive never had so many is short time( 4 in 2.5 days) over last 2 years i average around 14 migraines each year and in that time overall they werent too bad. But last few days have been horrendous! MSG- i dont eat a lot of local food, probably 4 thai meals per week, will investigate. I never eat cheese chocolate Bananas sugary biscuits and ive even just given away 4 lovely avocados as apparently they can be a trigger(just who do you believe and where do you stop?!) Meds- taken 20mg Propanolol/Betalol for 3 years, Depakine 500 every night for Migraine prevention and Relpax(ellitriptan) on start of attack During Mig attack i take 1 Ultracet(+ 1 paracetamol) it helps but slow to take effect Aimovig- thanks Sheryl thought it would be pricey! Botox not tried Hypertension- No, BP normal CT Brain scan normal Attacks should be getting less frequent as i age but not the case I feel i get more attacks in Thai(full time 3 yrs now) than i did in Uk......Heat? Im aware of dehydration but we all slip sometimes Im not overawed by my Neurologist Doc in Hua Hin, im sure hes a robot! Will see his colleague next time One last point, i have reason to believe that i get more migraines at this time of year(March April) than any other??? Also i didnt get a single attack for 6 whole months between Aug '20 and Feb 21.....very strange. Weather? Pressure changes? Jurys out on that theory Thanks if anyone can help

  9. yes nghtmare to find i cant see any obvious door seal issue it did hammer down yesterday and today My lady sat in the car at one point and no water could be seen penetrating she thinks the water is getting inside the rear door and then dropping into the car floor from the bottom of the rear passenger door so maybe its the window thats leaking and not the door?? Any special tips for drying out (like you put your phone in a sack of rice!)??
  10. My lady friend has a Honda City which appears to have a leak the floor of the passenger foot well, driver side is very wet after the rain last 2 days She has mopped up as best as.... So before taking to a professional..... any tips for drying out? Also, anyone had this issue with this model or similar car? Hard to spot where the leak is coming from, door seals appear ok but i suppose you'd have to check during a heavy downpour! Who wants to do that?!!! TIA
  11. Interesting, but can specifically they assist non residents? Most cannot for some reason...
  12. you get annual personal allowance of £12,500 (this year £12,570) plus tax free savings allowance £1,000 plus 'starting rate' ie if no other income then no tax on first £5,000 of savings adds up to £18, 500 in those circumstances
  13. before i post, is there a UK inheritance tax thread on here? Must be many hundreds of UK expats who are conscious of IHT and their kids in UK due to age/illness etc if so, if someone could post the thread link id be most grateful TIA
  14. not read all replies , but AFAIK, theres no requirement for restaurants or those masquerading to be so, to "close" at 9pm however, they must stop serving alcohol at 9pm i know several places where regular drinkers will order 3 drinks for themselves at 20.55
  15. not property, interest on savings end of October for non resident which i pointed out in OP(ie i no longer qualify for online filing 31. 01.22) so i already know now i will be fined for this year thanks
  16. My UK Accountant refers to this figure specifically in e mails a couple of times i have started looking into residence test, looks complicated....but thanks for heads up
  17. Sorry but i have read this tread and im still a bit confused My situation.... -Im looking to file self assessment via government gateway -incidentally for the first time by myself(not with UK Accountant) for the YE 05.04.21(online dealine 31.01.22) -In that year i was fully non resident(for the first time, prior years was part non resident) -therefore i dont qualify to file online any longer -i already know that i dont need to pay tax as my income is less than 18,500(comfortably ) and im not old enough for state pension or taking any private pension -If i don't file i assume i'll be fined and the fines will increase what should i do? Should i tell the HMRC my circumstances or is that disadvantageous? should i file online as if i was resident? -Im sure others must be in same boat.... thanks in advance
  18. i dont have 'other settings'..... in any case i went into ....Home/Settings/General Settings/Chats and at the top of chats its got Back up and restore chat history according to this my chats are backed up to Google Drive every day but im very suspicious this is not happening 1. because i looked in Google Drive and cant find anything (under Line, chat, back up) 2. the total file size of my chats is 1.6Mb which just seems low to me im also worried becasue im sure ive done this beofre and lost all my chats.....ideally i dont want that i dont see any option of backing up my chats to any other cloud or device im still stuck
  19. i wish to uninstall and reinstall LINE app(not performing well) plus intermittent issue with sending photos that ive taken(they disappear or only see the last 6 , and cannot send) ive done the updates but nb i want to keep my chat history any help appreciated thanks Android (Poco X3 NFC 1 year old )
  20. So in which case what happens, mandatory 14 day quarantine? Do they then vaccinate you?
  21. there was an old thread on this in 2011 which looks dead now plus techniques have improved from the standard TRUS(Transrectal Ultrasound) For me, in the next few weeks, I need a Prostate biopsy but specifically ive been recommeded an MRI Fusion TRUS biopsy. It's when they use the data from the last MRI to specifically locate(like a GPS) the lesion and target that as opposed to random tests throughout the prostate. im looking for prices if anyone has had this(or just standard prostate biopsy) and which hospital/feedback Im in Hua Hin and im assuming Bangkok is looking most likely to go Some notes so far.... -Bangkok Hospital in Petchaburi wanted 40,000 for a standard TRUS -Bangkok Hospital in Hua Hin want 150,000 baht for MRI fusion and 90,000 for standard TRUS so comparing their own TRUS price(1 hour away in another province) this seems grossly excessive. Im not insured and they know that. Ive read on here they charge more for that! Im told that this proceedure can be done at Siriraj but i cant get any sense out of them at the moment any help appreciated, thanks
