i often get free delivery, it's a bit random, i don't bother with the coins rubbish, cashback has changed recently i don't seem to be getting it, probably need to muck about with coins or something.

Much better than Shopee app though, always charge delivery so i don't use it

They give you some free coins every day just for checking in.....Lots of things to do to earn more.......Lots of layers to the app now to get free stuff, but it takes a few hours to figure it all out....

  3. Free Shipping on Lazada if you play stupid games...

Not much more to add to this....

But if you can collect enough coins by doing silly tasks or playing stupid games you really can get free shipping.....Or you might luck out on the right day and get one of their free shipping vouchers to work....

Their phone app is giving away more goodies than it used to...

    That's ridiculous!

The definition of Thailand tax resident is very simple.

At least 180 days or more of the year being in Thailand.

Having a DTA is a thing but it's not magic.

The Thai tax authorities would need to see your foreign details to see in which way you qualify or not.

Each nation that has one has a different one.

This is going to be a field day for expat tax consultants here.

Do honestly think the Indians ,Russians and Chinese are going to be slaving away over piles of forms and paperwork and tax codes and studying all the complicated details of international tax law and dealing with their country's hugely complex bureaucracy to try and prove their money is tax free..... ?

Boy, I sure don't, not even for one minute.....

They will just continue on as usual....

Me and Thai lady school teacher friend are staying in Jomtien for 4 days near Soi Welcome so looking for a few suggestions of average priced restaurants for lunch and dinner, Thai and farang food. Maybe one slighly upmarket restaurant for dinner one night.

I know of Cheap Charlies where I would go for brekkie if I'm on my own but a bit nicer ambience for us to dine together, she's not really a bar person and doesn't normally drink alcohol.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, I am going to applaud them for this initiative.

If you don't try you will never know and Farangs have been calling for this for the last 18 years to my knowledge.

Are you kidding.....No one has been calling for this.....

Especially if you work or live there a one way on Soi Bukow would be dreadfully inconvenient and it would destroy being able to lead a car-free life there........

At the risk of wafting through 132 pages .... can anyone give me an updated summary as to what is going on ?

This thread is mostly for tax chit-chat....

Since there is a lack of info....

With most all the posters against the tax but a few posters who post repeatedly here, seem determined to poo poo on any and all anti-tax arguments no matter how valid and correct the anti-tax points are.......................

    So here is your update.....

    Nonsense

Ok please tell us all why its nonsense then?

When every table is packed at ALL hours of the day every day, and they are holding the tourist's hands and walking them through all the paperwork....

Are the helpers there helping in their spare time as a free service to the poor farang?

I think not my friend....They are there for the cold hard cash...They are making very good money off tips there every day..

If they were not taking home plenty of baht every day there would be no helpers to help the confused farang.......End of story....

I wonder how much profit is being made on every pack of A4 paper being photocopied by that office to the left of the main building and who owns that business. It's got to be one of the most profitable businesses in Pattaya given the volume of customers it serves daily.

Also, that place has LOADS of people working there who are very eager to help you fill in the paperwork....Knowing a nice tip will be forthcoming shortly.....I have no idea how much they make in tips but I would guess at least 1-2 thousand a day on top of their salary...
