Koh Larn use to be one such a pleasant and cheap day trip from Pattaya...I have really enjoyed my many visits there.....
What use to be such a simple and easy trip (pay 30 baht and get on boat) is turning into a nightmare.....
Now there is a temperature check and facial scan and they check your ID as you pass through a security checkpoint, manned by security personnel......
And now it seem having to pass through security almost the same as a international flight was not doing enough damage to the formally easy and fun Koh Larn day trip experience.....So it seems time to up-the-game and require vaccinations too......
Considering about 99% of Koh Larns income comes from tourism,it seems someone is determined to turn Koh Larn into nature preserve without humans.....Without tourism Koh Larn has absolutely nothing but monkeys and coconuts and a bit of fishing and that's it...The Koh Larn residents should be very concerned about this situation....
I think only a small % of the Thai population has had a vaccine and no children at all have had a vaccine....
Boy Pattaya is becoming less and less fun all the time.....

I'm looking forward to the time where this topic becomes unnecessary but we're not there yet.
Vaccines for all that want them!

Where do we get the 1st booster jabs...
Where do we get the 2nd booster jab...
OR
How best to avoid the jabs...
How much do jab exemptions cost.......

Does breathing in warm air raise or lower your temperature?....Have you seen the lines outside of banks now? and how close they are looking at the temperature thingy? Think about it....

First they closed many bank branches, and the ones left open are getting the overflow from the closed branches, so they are extra busy......
Thankfully I only go to the Bank once a month to pay my rent.....Most times I am in and out in 5 minutes....
Now they are only letting a few people in the bank and everyone else has to wait outside...
Also they are really watching the temperature machine close.....I had to stand in line for about 45 minutes outside before I even got to the temperature reader to get in the bank....I had my nose outside my mask to breath fresh air so I did not get hot.....But a bank employee scolded me for not wearing the mask correctly......So ok, I am now wearing the mask correctly but I am worried breathing in the warm air will raise my temperature....
Then a lady about 5-6 ahead of me failed the temperature test.....They would not let her in the bank.....They took her off to the side and started taking all her information (to give all her info to god only knows who).......Bloody hell seeing this made me nervous and I felt my temperature rising........If I failed the test then what?.......Stand there and give all my info, or get the heck out of doge as fast as possible?.......Now I am getting really stressed out......So I pull my mask out and try and breath in cool air..........I finally get up to the temperature reader, and thankfully I passed and they let me in....
Man ..... Alls I wanted to do was pay the rent........

Since when has wearing a face mask been optional? You can't enter any establishment without one or shop without one and you're subject to a big fine if caught at anytime without one. It has been this way for 16 months already.
Please stop stalking and trolling. You've had your say.
Sir wearing a face mask under the chin is very popular way to wear a face mask for loads of Pattaya residence ...

If there is a Wuhan lockdown, I would say that would call for a Keg party on the beach....No masks or social distancing required......Hey if the ship's going down, you might as well rearrange the deck chairs and have some fun.....

I don't know when Pattaya will return to its form "glory", but I do know that you will be wearing Tsingtao singlets with dim sum stains, instead of the usual HP sauce down the front...
...and start brushing up on your Chinese language skills and learning how to deal cards and count to 21 if you want a job.
Actually I think Hindi is the language to brush up on........Someone has not been keeping all these all these (way more than is needed) Indian restaurants afloat for many years now for no reason.......Heck even the closed ones are not really closed, they are only hibernating now..........
All these Indian Restaurants will be feeding the stampede of Indians who will be arriving here one day....

I think if the bodies were piling up at the temples we would know about it, I do believe there is more Covid in Thailand than the published figures due to lack of testing and people who have symptoms not being tested as they will end up in hospital or even worse in a warehouse.
Here are some numbers for you....
I make 100,000 baht a day picking up plastic bottles from the street and it only takes 10 minutes.... I can make 1,000,000 baht a week if I work 15 minutes a day...
Point being..... Its very very very easy to publish bogus numbers....
Like you said people should trust their eyes over numbers.....I have not seen any bodys or any sick people at all myself, and I am out and about a lot...

The Whole World banned foreign travel or highly restricted foreign travel , this is to stop the virus from spreading, rather than any Countries dislike of foreigners .
Thai officials do not dislike foreigners , they dislike Covid
Boy the virus is really coming in handy then..........Because severely reducing world travel was one of the planned goals of Agenda 21...........And the stack-em and pack-em housing was already well underway with all the new shoebox condos....

Things won't reopen in any real degree until most people have been vaccinated, which will be at least early 2022. So get ready for a quiet 6 months.
Great, the homeless population should be about half of Pattaya by then, and the rest should be just about bankrupt.....

like where? Places like McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks, Pizza Hut have closed, they are all over priced and paying the consequences
Agree except for Burger King......They run specials very often ( like all the time)....Whoppers for 99 baht is not a bad deal at all.....
Starbucks coffee is WAY overpriced so no surprise there......I have not seen any Amazon coffee close.....Not one.....

My azz......There may well be a chip shortage but its a 100% planned chip shortage, kind of like the gas shortage of the 70s, lol......... Chip production could meet demand if only they were allowed too.....

Why does the Sky Train never get closed.....Not once......And 7-11s too...Not once....The building of the high speed rail has not stopped........
The answer is simple....Covid hates all C P owned businesses......So no need for them to close.....

Once again we have been forced to delay after the Marine Department expressed concerns over safety and the continuing Covid-19 situation. I can't really write my true feelings but its seems we're jinxed or disliked, not sure which. We're trying to address all issues, but ultimately it looks like 'plan B' - to head out to the outer anchorage and layup for a few months.. We will let you know..
Safety my azz......From what I have seen your boat is a huge ocean vessel.....I would not have the slightest concerns over safety..... I would find out who it was that got the Hua Hin ferry route route approved (in record time) and hire them to work on your approval......
