Shame it's useless though.
They're all useless. They're just for show. Keeps the Thais happy. The important thing is to look good in them.

Home made is not the best. An N95 mask would be much better.
You got second rate.
Maybe third rate. Would have to examine the mask. Many home made ones are very poor.
Mine's class. Black with a white pattern. Worn with a pair of Rayban Aviators, it's the nuts.

Because in your previous statement you implied the conclusions would be different in Asia or Australia.
Unless you have evidence of some special mask designs that we Europeans are unaware of, or some evidence that our droplets are somehow different in nature than those in Asia or Australia it is quite obvious, as you well know, that the conclusion would be exactly the same in Asia or Australia.
A statement to the contrary is misleading.
This study shows in very clear terms that the use of face masks provides no benefit.
Why would this be different in Asia? Same droplets, same masks.
Not the same masks. Mine was made by a neighbour and I defy you to find an identical one. Very chic. Only the best for me.

Thailand many times and have seen many expat husbands who are
stumbling alcoholics. They are not fun to be around, slobbering and
hanging onto me when they are trying to have a chat. So I was saying that
if you cannot even take your Thai wife out for a meal, without needing to
drink a wine or a beer then it is likely you are like the people I have been
talking about. Thanks Ron as I do have friends and even relatives that
live in Pattaya, so I do also know people there who are not alcohalics
as well. I do prefer their company for sure. Hope this clears up the comfusion.
Geezer
Tosh and English is my first language. I live in Pattaya and don't know one expat that fits your description.
For my own part, I'm very much a social drinker who normally prefers soda with ice and a slice with my meal. Also, being from the North of England, dinner is my main meal of the day and served around noon. I have never been partial to alcohol before sunset. I never drink in the house so, thus far, not a drop has passed my lips since before the lockdown, more than a month now. I can't say that I really miss it.
What I do miss is sitting in a bar on a Saturday night, having a few bourbons and having a laugh with friends old and new.
However I do have one vice, having a full monty for breakfast, washed down with a pint of Stella. Probably do that 3 or 4 times a year now. Is that a crime?
I certainly prefer my lifestyle to that of someone who spends his days sat behind a computer, thousands of miles from Thailand, pouring vitriolic and nonsensical scorn on Thai expats, a group of people you clearly know nothing about.

Anyone see The Clash in Bangkok re 1982?
I didn't even know where Bangkok was in 1982. Saw the Clash in my home town circa 1978. Didn't enjoy all the spitting.

Here they are on whispering Bob's show:
I always hear this in my head when sat in a bar on Soi 6. Also performed at the Barrowlands. Probably their most famous song.

You missed the word "funded"
Yes "funded" not involved in the development of vaccines.
I guess you have equal disdain for any lefty snowflake liberal who has the disgusting habit of putting others before themselves.

So there we have it, confirmation funded by Public Health England, carried out by a UK university, that Neil Ferguson's lockdown policy had no impact at all.
The use of masks had no impact and deaths rose despite the use of face masks.
The strength of this study is that it covered 30 countries, and thereby bypassed the problem of various measures being used at the same time when one only examines one country.
Good job UK, you proved that the lockdown and use of masks had no impact at all. Faith is restored.
An article by the Daily Mail, read at your peril. No links to the actual research. Complete right wing sensationalist nonsense. Could have been written by the White House. fake news.

Hope they don't just deny people based on what passport they travel with, wouldn't surprise me though...
They'll deny people on the grounds of which countries they have visited recently and the Covid status of those countries. Its going to be a while before visitors from the UK and US will be allowed free passage. Can you blame them?

I've seen too many bands to mention them all here but by far the standout live performance for me was The Sensational Alex Harvey Band at the Barrowlands, Glasgow, '74. A true performer who put on a proper show. The set ended with "Anthem" which included a professional opera singer and mid way through the song was accompanied with a Scottish pipe band who, much to everyone's surprise, entered the hall from the back and slowly marched through the audience, the pipes getting louder and louder as they neared the stage. Absolutely magical.
Sorry, the video doesn't do the live performance justice (play it at full volume to get some idea):

But, but,
i read on Thaivisa many poster again and again say they only stop foreigner party???? Poster imagination.
Now, we have problem with corona. Thailand very successful control it. 99% people behave. I happy the police do this. Everyone know about the rule. Selfish people.
We can have big party together when corona finished.
Corona is finished in Thailand. Apart from Yala and Bang Tao in Phuket (we all know who causes that) there have been no new cases caused by internal (to Thailand) infections for several days now. In Pattaya, almost a month since the last infection and zero patients in hospital. If no one has Covid-19 how can anyone catch it, restrictions or no restrictions? All Thailand has to do is keep it's borders strictly controlled (which they have done well with, thus far) and there will be no further infections, no second wave. The restrictions have now become pointless. Its now becoming clearer that it's all about the government flexing its power over the Thai population. Nothing to do with Covid-19 now.

The date has changed many times but the latest opening date is some time in July.
My son's school messaged all parents back in March sometime to that the school would be closed until July 1st earliest. That date has remained throughout.

Asked whether he was afraid of contracting the deadly infection at work, Kampol said he had confidence in safety standards and procedures at the hospital. “What you think would be the most dangerous place could be the safest, you know,” he quipped.
Considering that the photo shows someone treating a patient on a respirator and not wearing eye protection, I would say that he was just lucky.

Suppose they make vaccination a condition of getting a visa? I know I know, do not give them ideas.
What worries me is that they may make it available without knowing the long term side effects and then make it compulsory for all.
It may be mandatory for entry into Thailand but they cant make it compulsory for you to be vaccinated.

Read what I originally posted. I did not say AstraZenica will play any part in the development or testing of the vaccine. Good to hear, considering their track record, they won't.

My experience is lifestyle is a big factor with the test results. Are you fat, drink, sit on your butt all day no exercise? Do you ejaculate frequently 3 to 4 times a week?
Again, from personal experience sitting around sexless can raise the PSA.
Also, drink lots of water before your test.
Completely wrong. To get an accurate reading from a PSA test you must abstain from all forms of sexual activity for one week.

Strangely, I did a bit of muff diving at the bar the last time I was in a bar. Unfortunately the bar was raided last Saturday for illegal opening so I doubt that it will be open again for some time.

Some elevatioon in PSA is to be expected with benign enlargement so may not be realistic to expect a totally normal score. The "normal" range does nto take age related BPH into account.
What is important is, if it is elevated, how much elevated and how fast does it rise over time. Very high levels e.g. over 100 are unlikely to be due to BPH alone, and rises in BPH will not be rapid but rather very gradual.
It is a useful tool (especially for someone with family history of prostate cancer) but needs to be interpreted together with clinical signs and history i.,e. it is not a do-it-yourself thing that you can just compare to a chart. Skill and experience of your urologist and having a urologist you can talk things out with very important. Where do you live?
I tested at a level of 10 at age 55. I subsequently underwent 2 years of treatment for prostate cancer.
The NHS subsequently raised the trigger level to 10 but have now reduced it back to 4. More than 4 get a DRE by a specialist.

Interesting study here although not peer reviewed yet.
Models show that if 80 percent of people wear masks that are 60 percent effective, easily achievable with cloth, we can get to an effective R0 of less than one. That’s enough to halt the spread of the disease. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/04/dont-wear-mask-yourself/610336/
I will continue to wear a mask until told otherwise......except when eating in a restaurant or snogging in a bar.
-
According to the man himself he certainly did wear a mask. It was the media to blame for not photographing him wearing it. You just couldn't make it up.

A friend bought a new laptop there several days ago.
