Two questions:
1) Does the Johnson & Johnson Janssen single-injection vaccine count the same as two of, say, Moderna or Pfizer under this new policy?
2) Is there a time period within which the vaccine(s) need to have been received? e.g. If I was vaccinated in 2020, is that good enough?

Politicians have absolutely no idea about real life.
Nor do the rich. e.g. Oprah being shocked that people can't afford $100 Christmas gifts.

If you are using PayPal only to pay for the goods and services or to send the money to other people, you can register now with PayPal Thailand that was just relaunched a week ago.
However if you want to use PayPal for your business to receive payments from customers, you must be a citizen of Thailand. Foreigners living in Thailand are not eligible.
Thanks. I had received e-mails from PayPal, but really didn't bother to check what the changes were. You made it very simple to understand. I rarely used PayPal, but nice to know that it is still an option.

Is this the same guy as:
The names don't seem to match, but they are two, very similar looking fellows.

its 2022 and im reading inter racial marriages have just been made legal?
Lincoln freed the slaves in 1863 according to a movie ive just watched...im obviously missing the elephant in the room with this one.In a short article I read online (so it has to be true!) the current approval of interracial and same sex marriage is based on past Supreme Court rulings, much like Roe v Wade was for abortion. What the Supreme Court has approved in the past in can all too easily decide to change today. The fact that the Supreme Court *did* reverse the Roe v Wade ruling, made Congress scramble to make these marriages a *law* (not just a Supreme Court ruling.) That was my takeaway from the article. I'm sure I'll be corrected here if that's incorrect.

It also depends on the rules if you wish to renew it. For example. The state where I’m from. If your license is expired after a certain amount of time. If you want to renew it you need to take the written and road test again . Different motor vehicle rules for different places
And, some states have made it very difficult to renew a license without multiple forms verifying permanent residence within the state. For Nevada, I had to show an apartment lease or home title in my name plus either a utility bill or car registration at that address in my name. Has to do with the "REAL ID" program that apparently is DHS (Department of Homeland Security) program.

I have the same set up with US eSim from Google FI. In Thailand i bought a dTac sim and inserted the physical sim in the sim slot in my phone and lo and behold, it picked it up and started working. I get all the phone calls/text messages from US when some body dial/text to my US number and the same for when somebody dials/text to my Thai phone number. I did not have to post in this forum and get instructions to do that. Sorry for the snarky remarks.
I'm a little bit of a cell phone luddite, but I thought you could only have one active at a time: either the eSIM or the physical SIM. Are you saying you can have both active simultanesously and, for example, receive a call on the eSIM and a minute later receive a call on the physical SIM without changing any settings?

So why can't they just install seats in this building, and open it to the public?
That was my first thought, too. Especially the restrooms. ISTR there were complaints about no restrooms available for folks boarding the ferries.

The budget is 36,829,499 million baht.
??? Do they mean B36,829,499 x 1,000,000 (B36,829,499,000,000) or B36,829,499? The former seems like an awful lot, but the latter (only about one million USD) doesn't seem like much.

If it is deemed inappropriate or wrong for foreigners to own land (or more than 49% of a condo building), then the Thai government should also pass laws prohibiting Thais to own land/property in other countries, no? Either it's okay to own land in another country, or it's not.

Yeah, bad habit I acquired here in Mexico. They use the same $ symbol for the peso as is used for the US dollar.

Damn, AseaNow, give a guy a break with these premature postings!
I found a scan of a PEA bill from back in 2017 that had the account numbers that I needed for the PEA online app.
Then, miracles of all miracles, I was able to get my AIS SIM to connect to AT&T here in Mexico so I can receive SMSs on my Thai mobile phone number.
Logged on to the PEA app and found that there was an unpaid bill:
61.85 for August 2022
107.00 for meter reconnect fee
168.85 due
I was able to make the $168.85 payment online and the money is already gone from my BBL account.
I show monthly PEA payments deducted from my BBL account in every month except Sept 2002, including one on Oct 11 for a typical amount (47.87).
- Is the "meter reconnect fee" charged even if they never really physically disconnected the meter?
- If not, and they *did* disconnect my meter, why was there a nominal usage charge for the next month?

I know you have all been at the edge of your seats wondering what happened with me & my missed PEA payment. Well, wait no more:

If you select 'pay bill' in your phone banking app, then search for PEA, you can enter your PEA account number and view your outstanding PEA balance and pay it in the app. Works for my TMB/TTB bank account app anyway.
So, if only I had memorized my PEA account number, I could be golden. Of course, I haven't tried this with PEA in my current situation, but in the past when I bill-payed or transferred money, my banks (SCB & BBL) used OTPs via SMS.
Since I bought a new mobile phone after I left Thailand, I didn't have the SCB or BBL apps installed. SCB Easy requires a mobile connection to a Thai number to register. For the BBL app, after going through the registration process it also sends an OTP via SMS to finalize set-up.

You can check your balance and pay.
Have to use a Thai phone number, and then they send an OTP via SMS.
8 hours ago, treetops said:You need a form from the PEA office to take to the bank. They fill it in with all the details and you take it back to the PEA office to be processed. Depending on where you are in the billing cycle it'll take effect from the next or next plus one bill.
That sounds like what I did to set up my auto-payment for PEA with BBL.

I have a condo in Jomtien that I left in early 2020 and haven't been back since. I had planned to return at least once a year, but well, Covid. Before I left I loaded up my Bangkok Bank account with funds and had PEA set up automatic payments from it. Each month the PEA deduction was just under THB50.
A couple weeks ago I got an e-mail from AIS (who I also set up for automatic payments from BBL) that I was overdue a couple months, so I checked my BBL account balance online. Yikes, I had let the BBL balance run out!
I immediately transferred (Wise/Transferwise) a deposit to BBL, and I see that on 11-Oct PEA withdrew THB47.87. That's a relief, but they never took a payment for September. I expected the October bill to be the current THB47.87 plus the overdue September balance (plus possibly a penalty.)
Will PEA at some point cut off the power to my condo for non-payment of the Sept bill?
(I would like to make bank transfers from with my BBL or SCB bank accounts to PEA and AIS for past due balances, but the banks require SMS confirmations and I can't get the AIS SIM to establish a connection where I am in Mexico. I used to be able to, but now I can't. It may be due to the fact that I'm overdue on the AIS account, but regardless the reason I can't do any bill-paying from here...)

My math skills are fading, but if the population of Thailand is around 70 million, that's one in 70 that gets bit per year.
So in three years, if it's three million people who get bit, that's one in 24. That's a lot!
Something must be wrong with my reasoning/logic/math because that would mean over a ten year period, one in seven people would be bit by a dog. Surely that cannot be?

What is the expected benefit of taking that cocktail of meds? Doesn't seem like anything that would make one high. Maybe if you had a killer migraine headache?

They used to run min-van shuttles to hotels & condos through Pattaya/Jomtien. Have they down graded to songtaews now? (If so, where do they put the luggage?)

Aha. That's it. It probably was closer to the end of the flooding, which would explain why the lower part has so much water.

That may be? But, when I got the Janssen vaccine, it was competing with AstraZenica, Pfizer and Moderna which all required two injections.
