    At least "QATAR" is optimistic:

    https://www.qatarairways.com/en/press-releases/2020/may/QRSummer.html

"Qatar Airways Announces Phased Rebuilding of Network to an Initial 52* Destinations by End of May and 80* in June"

Qatar Airways destinations operating by end of June* (*Subject to regulatory approval):

    .......................Bangkok (BKK), ..........................

Also interesting, but hard to know if true:

"Having maintained flights to at least 30 destinations where possible during this crisis and to most continents, helping to take over 1 million people home, the airline has been in a unique position to closely monitor global passenger flows and booking trends to confidently begin planning the gradual reintroduction of additional flights and destinations to its network."

flights in august 'available' and 'bookable' and the cheapest I've seen since 2006. take a chance? dunno..... tempted…. my fingers hovering on the 'book' button...……….

skyscanners btw if allowed to mention. oh I just did....

You could book flights for May when the flight ban lasted until April 30th.
Unfortunately, it means nothing that a flight can be booked.

  3. Hm:

    https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1911952/almost-all-support-14-day-quarantine-flight-ban-poll

I would not bet on international flights in June if this is true.

    And this:

    https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1911652/new-quarantine-venues-for-returnees-in-bangkok

6,069 people are currently in 766 local quarantine facilities across the country.

This means 8 people per facility? There is no plan to organize this efficiently for tens of thousands.

Right on. I've told wife, brother and anyone who'd listen...let me in and AT MY EXPENSE test me and quarantine me for 2 weeks in a decent hotel. ALL expenses paid by ME...no prob!

Do not expect any government in this world to behave logically now.
Borders with other countries are closed, although there are significantly lower infection rates there - because "everybody does it".
Some countries are satisfied with medium growth rates of infections, some want zero new infections - because "neighboring countries do the same".
By the way zero new infections seems to be the goal of the Thai government, which means that there will be no international tourism until a vaccination is available. The collateral damage in the population does not seem to be important.

My hope is that some countries in Asia will gradually open their borders in combination with a test procedure, then the Thai government will dare to follow this example.

    Welcome to the Forum!!

WoW!! “So many happy and wonder-filled times ahead for you, I hope you don't miss the birth, and as a dad I understand your frustration of not being able to be there for your lady and the miracle of birth.

Let's hope this situation resolves before then, but if not,  at least through the miracle of technology and skype you can be there as best as you can, and look forward of a lifetime of happiness with your baby and wife.

Best wishes for you your lady and your baby.

Thank you for your encouraging words! I think that was what I needed, feel a little bit better now ????

It's not my first child but it's good to be remembered about the good times ahead. Thanks!
