The only way to remove Hamas and stop the endless violence is for the world to pressure Israel to destroy its racist Apartheid system and replace it with a form of government which guarantee political rights and freedoms for all of the citizens of greater Palestine.
It might be easier, and certainly more practical, to persuade the 9 million odd citizens of Israel to kill themselves. They would all die if the "citizens of greater Palestine", or at least those who would immediately seize control of them, had their way.

Observers see these forthcoming elections as a fundamental stride towards fortifying Thailand's democratic fabric, hinting at a more engaged approach to the nation's governance.
Meanwhile on planet earth, observers, Thai and foreign, recognise a stitch up by those born to rule when they see one!

not cannabis though.
a few can grow decently but the majority are not really good at all. not a cheap shot just going with my experience from what i have seen all over the country. i could give literally dozens of accounts of grows i have visited and almost all were sub par at best. i know and was involved with some of the biggest companies in the country. same thing. the companies only made it due to foreigners helping them. i would rather not go into details with thai defamation and all. more than happy to share some info in private if you want though.
i do expect a small percentage of them to catch on quickly though. say 5 to 10 years to really get a handle on it. the rest will be the same like all over the world. people think they can grow good cannabis. in reality its just another drop in the ocean of mids out there.
high quality top shelf cannabis is extremely difficult to grow and requires a true true master grower to pull off. no one in thailand has this experience or knowledge of the plant that i am aware of (other than my guy :)). even the guys i know from the thai black market have only been growing for about 10 years now. none of them are master growers.
i know cannabis has been around thailand for a very long time. however they were not making the advancements that others around the world have.

Bidens advisors have thought only of appeasing a small contingent of the electorate, in a few congressional seats.
Bidens woolly grasp of international affairs, has led him to take steps which only encourages Hamas.
If Hamas survives in Gaza as the effective governing power, because Israel is dissuaded or prevented by his sanctions from finishing the job of destroying them, then the inevitable future terrorist campaigns launched by them from Gaza, and the casualties will be firmly in his lap.
International trust in the USA in its desired role as leader of the free world, already weakened by their precipitous flight from Afghanistan which left both their allies and their supporters in the country exposed, will be further damaged.

You ‘read somewhere’.
I’m sure you did, but I doubt you want to tell us where.
I did read it somewhere, in the last couple of weeks, and no I didn't record who wrote it or where.
Perhaps I have a different approach to discussions than you. I neither have a photographic memory nor a STASI like operation to record who said what, when and where, to use to crush and bully into silence anyone who dares to step beyond the bounds of what you have ordained as appropriate political or social opinions.
Mind you neither do I have the interest or energy to ceaselessly patrol these forums looking for fights as you clearly do! As I said, a different approach!

Nothing will really change. Starmer will stand on a beach and blether, the people smuggling gangs (highly lucrative) will ignore him, the lawyers advocating for the migrants (highly lucrative) will ignore him, the French will ignore him (unless they can screw even more money out of the UK for their ineffective policing activity).
It is fascinating that there does seem to be an almost inexhaustible supply of big rubber dinghies and outboard motors. Bizarrely, I read somewhere that when they reach the UK they are seized, auctioned off cheaply, shipped back across the Channel and used again!

A 60 year old woman was stabbed and bled to death on the street in broad daylight in London the other day. She had refused to hand over her bag to her assailant.
He was an immigrant youth of Somali origin.
How very vibrant and diverse, culturally enriching...

It'll be ok as long as they are sympathetic to your best buddy tax-sin Sh!tawat and his cronies, right?
Here we go again:
1) He is not my best buddy, something which I think we established ( with the help of some "moderation") some time ago. My comment made no mention of, and did not reference, either directly or indirectly, Thaksin or his "cronies".
2) Yet again you constantly and deliberately misspell his name.
3) The fact that you have kept this " allegation" warm on the back burner for so long until you saw an opportunity to make it, again, leads me to wonder if you are conducting a little vendetta - stalking perhaps?

There is probably going to have to be another "spectacular", or a wave of them, to bring the West together. Given the prevarication provoked by 9/11, the London tube and bus bombs, the Manchester concert bombs and the Paris attacks then the casualties will have to be spectacular, and or the victims very high profile. Possibly attacks involving Chemical, Biological or even Nuclear weapons.
I hope to God not, but I fully expect it to happen in the next decade.

Oh well, "there's nowt as queer as folk" as they say in Yorkshire! After all there are a couple of posters on here who openly yearn for the good old days in Germany when "Uncle Adolph" was running things!
For the benefit of any MAGA readers, Yorkshire is a county in the North of England - up near Scotland somewhere! It rains a lot. The beer is quite good. Can't make cider to save their lives. Parts of the county town, York, are a bit of a shambles!

Thailand is set to implement stringent new compliance regulations for customers opening bank accounts, in response to a sharp rise in the misuse of these accounts for illicit or fraudulent activities. From November last year through the present, Thai authorities have closed over 300,000 "mule" accounts.
These regulations, as promulgated by the Bank of Thailand, the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the anti-online scam centre AOC 1441, are poised to take effect by June 1st, as confirmed by Prasert Jantararuangtong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society. All banks will now be required to strictly adhere to a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) approach.
Local experts from the Thai authorities estimate that accounts exploited for offences could tally up to one million. Growing compliance in the digital banking sector has been encouraged due to the sustained efforts of financial institutions and related government initiatives.
The digital banking market in Thailand is projected to grow by 8.69% between 2024 and 2028, as per Statista research. This growth trajectory is likely to be aligned with a surge in compliance-related efforts, aimed at meeting regulatory mandates and safeguarding against financial crimes.
The Thai banking sector, a historical pillar of the nation’s economy, has been undergoing a significant transformation. McKinsey’s findings suggest a potential regain of regional clout, with a shift towards digital banking that necessitates a robust compliance framework to ensure transactional integrity.
In closing, Thailand's digital banking sector's compliance industry is witnessing dynamic changes driven by regulatory strides, technology, and a commitment to enhancing the digital banking experience. As the sector evolves, compliance will form a foundational anchor, ensuring a secure, sustainable digital banking revolution, tuned with international best practices.
These changes offer both opportunities and challenges to compliance professionals, who shall remain at the forefront of shielding the financial ecosystem from emerging risks.

Can anyone define a mute account? I have accounts with three Thai banks. One I use all the time, one occasionally and one as a spare - in which I keep a thousand Baht.

I have a rule that people that make personal insults against me go to ignore, so bye bye.
So you feel that October 7 was justified?
Knowing that you can justify such depravity rather softens the blow of being put on your ignore list!

I do wonder about all these "Cannabis outlets".
Our local "falang" orientated nightlife area (a couple of hundred metres and about twenty bars of various types) has some half a dozen of these places. All quite expensively fitted out in a very similar style, identical signage almost like a franchise; all with few if any customers.
Very strange "economics"!

Why make an exception for the LGBT flag specifically?
I'm all for gay rights, but this is a song contest, not a gay pride event. What about "Queers for Palestine", are they banned?
It's like politics being banned from the Premier League, but you are still allowed to take the knee for BLM. It should be all or nothing, not banned unless it happens to be a cause the organizers agree with. Is Sadiq Khan organizing it this year or something? Oh actually, probably not or it would be Israeli flags banned and Palestinian flags encouraged...
I suppose that the "rainbow" flag is something to do with the Swiss " non binary" entry, featuring a bloke with a beard in a tutu!
Eurovision does in recent years seem to have been rather keen on bearded ladies!
