  1. There is a fair amount of footage kicking around of Hamas " militants" including scenes of murder, hostage taking and parading bodies and hostages. There will now be a concerted effort to identify these people. It may take some time to catch up with them, but the Israelis certainly will.
  2. What is the situation of the Mae Sai/Tachilek border crossing at the moment? I need to do a "border hop" in a week or so, Mae Sai or Chiang Khong I suppose. For me Mae Sai is preferable.
  3. Oh for crying out loud!
  4. Umh, the electrical supplies to Gaza have been cut, because Hamas rocketed the power station in Israel which supplied them. Without electricity the water pumps don't work. If Israel deliberately shut down power supplies and water with the intention of causing the death of civilians that might be construed as a "war crime". They didn't! As it is, quite probably the greatest regret of Hamas is that the lack of power makes it difficult to make replacement rockets.
  5. There again, perhaps political science professors should opine upon the "blowback" of shooting in cold blood (and filming the act and uploading it) of adolescents sheltering in a bomb shelter, the sight of elderly people being dragged off to an uncertain ( probably certain) fate, or the sight of the naked body of a young German woman seized and murdered from a peace festival. Political scientists don't have to clean up the bodies of slaughtered youth, run an increasingly fruitless attempt to locate the hostages, or explain to the parents of the murdered girl why the last image of their daughter is of some black clad bastard using her torso as a seat in the back of a pick up truck. "Blowback" - utter <deleted>!
  6. When the dust and debris clears the first thing we will see is a Hamas "militant" waving a black flag as he launched a rocket at Tel Aviv!
  7. And, if so, not one that they will repeat. How will they prevent such a stockpile? By finding the manufacturing and storage sights and destroying them - a practice which I am sure they will prosecute enthusiastically in months and years to come.
  8. 1) Gaza is not under occupation. It has it's own government, one which uses the same savagery to keep its own people in line. 2) The border with Israel is sealed ( albeit Israel supplied Gaza with fresh water and electricity - or did until they apparently blew up the power station). The savage slaughter perpetrated on Israeli civilians explains why it is sealed. Why of course the border with Egypt is also sealed is a question that needs to be addressed to the Egyptians. The resources accumulated and dedicated to these thousands of rockets would go a long way towards improving the lot of the inhabitants of Gaza. The French Resistance did not go into Germany, slaughter young civilians, film it to demonstrate their bravery and prowess, and , for example, ride around using the stripped body of a young woman as a seat.
  9. Iron Dome is very effective. However with several thousand rockets being fired over a few hours it was quite simply swamped. Even if it destroys a rocket ( and it seems to have destroyed a large percentage) the debris falling to earth from the arial explosions will inevitably cause a lot of damage. To blame this on a " black flag operation" shows a quite remarkable level of stupidity!
  10. I don't know why being elected ( even if it is only just!) After all both Hamas and Abas are in the 17th year of their 4 year elected term.
  11. We are used to your somewhat bizarre opinions, but attempting to justify that massacre - you really are a four letter word!
  12. Yes, it was reported by the Daily Telegraph. Savage, murdering bastards. I hope they meet an appropriate end.
  13. No mention of that on the BBC. I am not for a moment suggesting it did not happen. But remember that the reporting of some of the more savage manifestation of Palestinian terrorism, specifically Hamas and Hezbollah actions is often "selectively" presented by certain media. The BBC's correspondent in the area wasn't known as "Abu Bowen" for nothing!
  14. My point rather is that when, as shown in the video, he was removed from the aircraft, his facial injuries were not evident. However, in the subsequent mugshot, taken once the "authorities were dealing with it" he appears to have received a beating. The man was clearly mentally ill. Beating the demons out of him? As for how long they keep him, it rather depends on course on what Putin and his lieutenants think they can screw out of Australia to allow his release and treatment.
  15. Presumably if it comes down to a vote between these two, the Democrats will decide who becomes the Speaker. Then of course assorted nutjobs will start to froth at the mouth. Unless of course the Democrats field their own candidate, who wins because the Republican vote is split. Then of course assorted nutjobs will start to froth at the mouth. Either way it is a mess, unless the two parties reach a consensus. Then of course assorted nutjobs will start to froth at the mouth. I don't see a way out. For the House of Representatives to function, especially with so slim a majority, requires a degree of consensus. Then of course assorted nutjobs will start to froth at the mouth. How will the Government continue to function for another year without an effective lower house?
  16. He looks significantly less battered and bruised in the video taken on the aircraft than in the subsequent mug shot.
  17. Rumours reach my ears that "Agent's fees" have increased dramatically. I don't know about tax declarations but a retirement extension, including transferring the original visa to a new passport, were I to go down such a route, apparently costs B19000.
  18. It is a great win, actively addressing the great problems faced by America. As an aside, I wonder who is pulling Patrick McHenry's strings, or was it really his top priority amongst the chaos following the Republican MAGA meltdown?
  19. I know little about Rand Paul, but I understand his credentials as "Putin's bitch" and Donnie's little poodle are already well established!
  20. The whole transgender business is, quite frankly, a complete mess. I have a good friend who is trans. I don't understand what goes through her mind, she has tried to explain, and then argue the case with me, as a barrister she is a very convincing arguer, but nothing has convinced me. She came to Thailand, and had "the op", and is now reliant on a cocktail of various drugs to keep her vaguely healthy. Biologically she remains a (castrated) male. That is where all the arguments fall. That is one side of the matter, it saddens me that she has ended up in such a physical and psychological state. What I cannot fathom is the argument that this is in any way "normal" to force the practicalities of transgenderism on society, in sports, "toilet issues" and so forth. It goes way beyond the risible, bearded ladies taking part in the Eurovision song contest and such. It is an attempt to reset our society, morally, physically and sociologically, to normalise and codify behaviour for a very small number of people, which should be simply left alone, as it has been in fact for hundreds of years.
  21. 1) It is not my side. 2) I stand by my observation that it was quite a good insult. 3) casual familiarity with your posts indicates that for you, the insult is the biggest tool in your toolbox. Now, whilst we are on the subject of tools...
  22. Is not sounding off about the judge like that, once the trial has started, contempt of court? The look on the faces of his lawyer's when he opened his mouth was very funny! The lady in particular looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp!
  23. The senior chap in the background with the haircut from central casting seems to find the idea amusing!
