The UK limit for driving is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

The limit here in Thailand is 50 milligrams per 100millilitres  of blood, 59 would be ok in the UK and he was certainly not drunk, maybe he just did not want to pay the on-the-spot fine.

Scotland is the same limit as Thailand 0.05%

Thailand: Zero for professional or commercial drivers, 0.05% for other drivers, except for 2 years licence holder or who has no a driving licence are limited at 0.02%.

I am assuming that means if you don't have a licence then the limit is 0.02%

It's depressing to see these young girls having to work in sex industry to earn money to buy milk and nappies for their babies.

Most sex workers in Thailand have no choice, they have had a child, then the father walks away.

How else can they pay the bills?

In Australia the government will pay the mothers social security benefits and garnish wages from the fat hers.

Indeed. A lack of responsibility for actions is a common theme here.

It should be noted that Thailand has the largest wealth disparity of any country in the World.

A picture of Thaksin surrounded by 100 of his bodyguards walking down a street he wouldn't normally be seen dead in.  Quite ridiculous.

Thaksin was hated in most of the South including Phuket before he went on his extended holiday.  I wonder how much that has changed, now that most Thais under 30 have only a vague idea who is or was.

Most of his enemies have had their wings clipped, including former Yellow Shirt leader Sondhi Limthongkul, who was found guilty of fraud and lèse majesté.
