What is clear is that the SUV entered the junction without being prepared to stop or yield for anything.... 

 

It could have been a kid on a scooter, a pedestrian, a cyclist, a motorcyclist, a samlor, someone pushing a cart, another car.... a person on a mobility scooter.... It doesn't matter what it is.... IF there is something already in the junction the vehicle approaching (from the same direction as the SUV) has to stop. 

 

 

I truly hope you do not drive....   

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is quite common at this intersection and others along the railway line.

Impatient and ignorant morons that don't know or care about the rules of the road try to play chicken and blast through making the traffic that actually has the right of way stop.

Kenya last week agreed to export over 100 wild animals to Thailand, including zebra, flamingoes, buffalo, wildebeest and hyena, despite protests by wildlife experts and Masai elders. None of the animals is from an endangered species.

Every passenger on the plane has a ticket. They need to buy one before they board the plane. They already know their passport numbers, nationalities, visa requirements, etc which are all done by airlines at the checkin counters.

 

Surely by knowing exactly how many people are on each plane, and what's an average delay of a plane, who is transiting and who is going through immigration, they could scale the force accordingly?

That would involve proper management and supervision which Thailand no hab krup.

I have a hard time believing that it really fooled anyone, even the Thais in charge at the time. It had no basis in scientific fact. Similar devices were being sold as novelty golf ball detectors. 

IMO, it was bought because they knew it was a scam and could cream millions off the top of the purchase price. 

The fact that many people, including a former PM and the country's leading forensic psychologist backed it, and that it was continued to be used in active service for so long, is a complete disgrace. 

There should have been many in jail for this debacle, but as far as I know, there has been no-one ever found responsible in Thailand.

The guy behind the scam was sentenced to jail in the UK.
