All that matters is the paperwork.
Without the paperwork and the rubber stamps, nothing happens, ever.

One problem - we come from free countries with transparent and accountable governments and we don't get led around by our own governments let alone by those of places we visit freely
LOL and you don't think covid and all the new government restrictions that are just starting to take place is not going to change your freedoms in the near future worldwide

Not really, the Chinese may own them by way of an investment and to get money out of China but it doesn't mean they live there. Apart from that they would be hard pushed to fit one of their tour groups into a condo. ????
They may not all live there, but may do. Check the population of Chinese children attending international schools in Chiang Mai. The biggest attendees are Chinese.

that's an unfair comparison - those other mentioned countries had more pens, fax machines and even old telex machines to order vaccines from
And what would the fully vaccinated number be if the sino vac and Sinopharm were not included?

You should look up Chinese Zero Dollar tours. I suspect the local economies got very little from the Chinese.
You should check the condo registration at the various land offices, you will see 52% of all foreign owned condos were bought by Chinese or 730,000 units owned by them. So local economies got a lot.

I know I shouldn't but I just gotta bite: Can you back that FACT up with any hard, verifiable data?
You can check for yourself by looking at the amount of Chinese that was coming to Thailand pre panademic and the billions this brought to the economy. This will not return, you will see in time

The Chinese weren’t there a few years ago, and sorry, not racist at all, Thailand was a much better place all round.
How are your comments not racist? Unfortunately without the Chinese and thier money Thailands tourist sector will not recover. FACT!

They are asymptomatic cos the more than questionable test tells them they are. Your not ill but the test tells you you are

Asymptomatics still have and carry the virus and thus can transmit it still.
And so can the fully vaccinated

So it’s not the fact that “it’s not very good” as it is in fact currently preventing deaths and a huge increase in new infections as the data posted each day shows, its may just not be as good as some other vaccines being used.
There are so many people on here who have stated negative reports about sinovac without really knowing how good or bad it is. There are those who have hailed the so called gold standard Pfizer and Moderna from western media and government propaganda. The same comment about the progress with vaccinations in how many completed daily. But if sinovac is so bad shouldn't these be deleted from the overall vaccine total? Just wondering

Not all countries according to the list, there are a fair number like Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Japan who have a considerable amount more in terms of population but are down below Thailand as far as total cases etc...go. Again Stats are not always truthful but we use them anyway. Answer this question. Had Thailand tested the population as has the bigger countries would they be up higher in total cases, or would they possibly be lower based upon the percentages? We will never know that answer now will we.
And if there was a test availble that did not give a positive result for people who are not at all sick then things may look a lot rosier

They should be concerned if not fully vaccinated and feel somewhat cautious otherwise. It's going to cut up fairly rough for a few months. But there is no other way imo, although waiting a couple more months to reach 80% vaccination would have been better from a public health perspective.
If your vaccinated you can catch and transmit, if your not vaccinated you can catch and transmit.

I don’t think it’s confusion that is stopping people booking, I think it’s lack of confidence that the holiday will be all people expect from a holiday, and fear that the rules will change mid stay.
And a good chance the rules will change at a minutes notice

They said don't worry when they first found the first original delta in Bangkok and that they would contain it.
Wasn't that when the first vaccines rolled out?

I've played every course in CM except Gymkhana, and I play with a golf society, and every course wants to see proof that I'm a resident and not a tourist. As for the courses that wouldn't accept my Thai driver's license, I named them in an earlier post.
This month I have played at Panorama, Khuntan, Attatya, Alpine, North Hill, Hangdong, and I was not asked for any form of ID. Just pay the Thai and Thai residents rate. Its been this way since the start of Covid, Golf clubs need the money to survive.

some of courses up here won't accept a Thai drivers license anymore. It has to either be a pink ID card, a yellow book or your passport with an extension of stay stamped in it.
Can you name the courses in chiang mai that request those items? Most courses up here are more than happy to take your money and not even ask for anything these days.

This si very commendable, however many virologists around the world warning that once 6 months past since the last injection the so called fully vaxed are not really 100% protected from getting the Covid all over again, a booster shot however might make a different...
And then another, then another just like Israel.

Not quite. I get it from the horses mouth who is a hospital surgical nurse practitioner, my daughter and my former co-workers in the ER's and on the road. Try again with your conspiracy theories.
A conspiracy is when someone states somthing but cannot back it up, he said, she said. What I stated is fact and can be supported by a simple check on who owns which companies on the stockmarket.
If you are getting your information from the horses mouth, then maybe you should ask them thier thoughts on Ivervectum.
