    Maybe their thought is if folks cannot afford a 1800 baht steak and several cocktails dinner, the online e-visa process may be difficult for this group of people to obtain, or in fact cancel all together the free 60 day exempt entry for the entire planet........

    The OA visa is obtained at Thai Embassies outside Thailand, the Non O can be obtained abroad at home Embassies or here in Thailand. The OP now needs to kill off his OA by exiting Thailand prior to his extension of stay stamp date ( without a re entry permit ) and return after stamp date - OA is now killed off and can start the Non O process without health insurance headaches......

    I had the OA a few years back. Your OA is valid for 1 year, To kill the OA you need to exit Thailand just before the OA visa sticker expiry date. As already said do not get a re entry permit prior to leaving. You can return to Thailand with a 90 day Non O from home Thai embassy or return exempt and get the Non O here, you'll need a bank account here.

    Reduce exempt entry to about 10 countries, from what I've read here an online tourist e-visa is no simple task....and watch things get better for the police........get that damn 'money mindset' in control as been said already.......

    Do your best to renew prior to your hospital stay. You don't want to be on overstay, you may also have a problem getting another Non O with an overstay stamp in your PP. As said maybe the hospital can do something with immigration......

    You don't need to re-register online, in April type in your new passport number, address you used for your 'in person' first 90 day report with new passport at CW all good....

    I transferred in 2024, a whopping 3,500 USD (about 120,000 baht) from abroad to my USD account in Thailand. Do I need to rush to a TIN office attempt to speak with people there who seem from reading here on AN, don't have any idea why you want a TIN ?

    If you get to Immigration 'in person' on the 15th ( 250kms quite a trip ) and report -- no issues, 'in person report' allowed 7 days after due date.....
