You've done well in Thailand if you manage to get 2 AstraZeneca jabs ! -
Thailand seeks 12 million Sinovac shots for mix-and-match vax strategy
CANSIAM replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
As Smedly said, the 'Thai cocktail' Sino/AZ is a desperation attempt to get out of the Sinovac problem. The WHO has not approved such a mix, if you plan on international travel, you'll be considered not fully vaccinated at most Western Countries.... have a good think before you get in line and roll up your sleeve....... just because Thailand says its a helpful blend..... -
O RETIREMENT VS. OA RETIREMENT VISA
CANSIAM replied to Jimmy B's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Im sure insurance renewal is the same for most companies, confirm with them you want another year, pay them and get your certificate dated 2 or 3 days prior to going to CW ensuring health insurance validity dates align with your 1 year extension of stay date for O-A. Make sure they put your health insurance information in the immigration data base as well, Pacific Cross Health does this. -
Were talkin money being generated now, 507 in a week doesn't matter !

Covid insurance requirement?
CANSIAM replied to Tom Parkinson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Can you get a Non O in the US and save yourself a step at Thai Immigration? I'm going to kill off my O-A when leaving as well, recently learned the Thai Embassy at home is now offering the 90 day Non O Visa and will return with this. -
Not mentioning the withdrawal to him and also close to extension time. She's not aware of money requirement for him to stay, or she wants him to leave the country !

O RETIREMENT VS. OA RETIREMENT VISA
CANSIAM replied to Jimmy B's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
An O-A Visa with multiple entries can be ideal with complete open borders ( pre pandemic ) and you exit Thailand occasionally. And of course the health insurance validity dates must match your permission to stay dates, if not your permission to stay stamp will only be granted to the validity of your health insurance on extensions of stay, not the full year.... -

O RETIREMENT VS. OA RETIREMENT VISA
CANSIAM replied to Jimmy B's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well I just learned that the Thai Embassy at home offers the single entry 90 day Non O Visa, this definitely makes things easier for returning and getting back on yearly Non O extensions, was not available last year. So no re entry permit on my O-A extension when leaving.. -
Anutin defends amnesty bill, says necessary to protect doctors

As the concrete mixer has stated in the past ( Phuket picnic table ), "we've all been double vaccinated and its just a few people"....... -
I read the Phuket Governor has plans to close temporarily some areas to 'protect' foreigners. This will NOT ease tensions at all. The right man is in custody ?

My last 90day by post to CW was 32 days from mailing date to my mail box returned with a blank TM47, my copies, along with the next notification slip, quite impressed, mailing again later this month. -
O RETIREMENT VS. OA RETIREMENT VISA
CANSIAM replied to Jimmy B's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My permission to stay is Dec. 19 so I will have to re-align my health insurance dates to match the year extension date, also I have to leave Thailand in March for 4-5 months so I guess that would be my chance to kill without a reentry permit.... another thought - would they allow me a 60 day covid extension in mid December due to my plan on leaving the country on March 2 ? -
