When ±1500 people die each day every day in Thailand (on average) and while Thailand is rolling out mass vaccinations it a statistical certainty tha tmany will die on the day they take the vaccines, some before some after etc.

When the news reports that someone died after taking the vaccine it the vast majority of cases the timing is merely coincidental.

Thank you sir. The statistical voice of reason.

Why would I buy a Thai property now when I could just buy the S&P500 and in 10 years I will be able to buy 3 of them instead?

It depends how you look at it. If you are looking for a home to live in and want to offset the cost of the property against not having to pay rent, then there is nothing wrong in owning.

Before anybody rushes into this scheme, they should pause and reflect just how Thailand has treated all the retirees with pensions who are living here during the vaccination programme.

The vaccination registration programme doesn't even officially start until tomorrow (7th June). That's when foreigners can officially register nationwide. There has been some pre-vaccination in key areas. I can't see why people are complaining. It's happening.  As of today, only 1.6% of the population have been fully vaccinated. Patience please.

So, do these "heroes" qualify for any of these new government initiatives or do we still have to get our Thai partner's to book hotels in their names while we pay and take a back seat? Is it now easier for us to get credit cards at Thai banks so we, too, can rack up debt?

    Probably not!

You have to be working and earning money to get a credit card. That's pretty much the same the world over. It's nothing to do with being a foreigner.

That is the problem we face to a T.

People keep thinking we have to get a deal...it's a no brainer.......but the Tories will not  be damaged in the same that the hard working man in the street will be or huge industries and their shareholders.

As Boris said '<deleted> business' and he meant it.

This is just a game to the Tories....... all reliving the war and dreaming of past empires.....pathetic.

Which will benefit the UK , the goods the UK produces will be cheaper for the World to buy

As I said "for all you British Retirees living in Thailand". What about the GBPs that you have to covert to Thai Baht? That's going to make a huge difference. On the upside of course, the cost of Imported PG Tips, Marmite and Digestive Biscuits may be cheaper. Great.
