  1. A   couple  of years ago, I  had my 800,000  in  one of those     Co-Operative Banks, as then,   it was paying a higher rate of interest than   other banks.       Went to    do my usual annual    visa thing,  was told, most firmly, by  I.O  Boss   I  HAD  to   put my money  into a Bangkok Bank, or else, no visa extension next time..       Did as ordered  next time, luckily, by then  Bangkok Bank was paying slightly higher interest   than  Co Op Bank anyway.

  2. Ha!!!!..  I will     send you my first Isan wife,,I just need to point her in the direction of your wallet.   A   thieving lying bitch of the first order. Got rid of her while I still had   money, and brains.   She  now has some poor sod from Europe in despair.

My second one,   from nearby, but not quite, Isan land, is    great,   laughs a lot, cooks  magnificient,  Western or Thai food, never stops working around the house,  doesnt ask  for money, nor do her family.    Second time lucky.

  3. As far as I am aware, the liver is     the only organ in  ones body  able to "repair"  itself, to some degree, if  alcohol, which was the cause of the problem, is abstained from.  That is providing the damage done is not to far gone.   The report also refers to mild brain  damage, again a symptom of  excessive alcohol abuse.  That is not reversible.  It is  sad so many people, Thais as well,   cause so much damage to their body by excess  use of alcohol, but considering the    hard life many Thais live,   it is the only form of   relaxation  they  have.

  4. Not being from the northern hemisphere, I have never heard, before, of Neil Oliver,  and make no comment  on his   broadcast.   However,    he does talk of trust,, I  would  assume  he also means respect, and  o n those  points  I would  just say,   who now, in  these troubled times, can we look to, to respect and trust.    Religion, of   nearly all denominations,, have failed and  are hardly to be looked upon favourably.  Politcians,,, what can one say about the  greater majority of them, self serving power hungry  individuals, only concerned about  getting re elected next time around.   For the British Commonwealth people,  their monarchy  is  going through  turmoil and embarrasment due to the antics of some of their members.  Polls taken show  doctors, and medical    peoples are   amongst  the few to whom people look up to these days..That  is individuals,   it should be  institutions  as well that   have  our trust and respect.   It is sad, as I believe  we need someone, or something, in our life  to look up to, respect and trust, otherwise   it  quite dispiriting.

  5. Oh God, please save me, is 2022  going to be the year of Thai lovers dominating this forum...???      Most  know that  bad drivers exist world wide,  even in ones own country, surprisingly.  However,  this forum  and (most)  of the people who contribute to it, live, or at least  exist, here. Therefor they talk about   local matters, on a local forum ,  how      one can construe that as racist, or bigoted,?,when it well may be the nut behind the loose wheel may even be one of those "dirty" farang,, if you want to talk about Saudi, Kenya,   USA ,  Uk,  start    your own thread., in       each of those countries forums..

  6. Well I had a  fairly good   life back in Oz,  own house, car,   plenty of money, well enough to not worry,  companionship of the other sex whenever, some just as friends.  Met the wife  when  here,  she didnt want to leave her family, I    wasnt   fussed about moving.  However, if it hadnt have been for that, I wouldnt have moved here  permanently, no  chance in the world,  holidays here  are  not in the least like living permanently.        The   hassles in everyday living wear you down,  continually on your guard, plus the  health insurance,  costs through the roof and increasing every year as you age.   I  admit I have been  very fortunate  with  my wife, but I  know personally of several poor sods  who have been wiped out, financially and emotionally  through  meeting the wrong woman,       these people  just dont think the same way as western people do, its hard to explain or put in words, but its a fact.      The  most sensible option for the OP,  he seems to have a reasonably good life  in his country, would be 6 m onths here, 6 months back home, the best of both worlds.   And  NO PERMANENT  commitments with  females.
