Our spare care is an old Mercedes with a Toyota engine in it.

We are having some problems with the braking system.

Does anyone know a half decent, or better still decent mechanic in the Hang Dong to Nong Kway area?

I need to get a new NON Imm " O " visa at Savannakhet by the 9th July.

I was planning on driving from CNX but our old spare car has some brake issues as of today and been a Sunday i cannot get it fixed. Don't want the wife using it with the kids while i take the good car.

Does anybody know the cheapest way to get to Savannakhet by air from Chiang Mai.

Any info appreciated.

Too scared to use a Van from CNX as i do not trust Thai Van drivers.

My wife just called the Consulate in Savannakhet and they also confirmed that there would not be a problem getting another one

I was at G4T today to try to get a Certificate of Residence. They declined as i was told that i did not have enough time left on my stay and would need to get a new visa before one could be issued.

I told the lady that i wanted it so i could get a drivers licence and use it to drive to Savannakhet for another 1 year Non O multiple Entry.

She told me that she was pretty sure that i would only get a single entry as I had already got a multiple entry from there last year already and they would not issue another one.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct and if anything has changed? I am on an Australian passport.

She also informed me that even if i flew back to Australia and tried for one in Sydney that i would probably not be issued one either.

Is this the end of the multiple entry Non O visa's?

Any information on this would be appreciated as i need to be out prior to 11 May.

I don't believe any thing has changed regarding the cost of the non O visa or requirements.

You don't state your nationality so it's not possible to give you the relevant information for the Laos visa price as this varies.

Hotels etc will cost as much as you are willing to pay I guess.

I was on a multiple entry O visa for one year which is expired. I need to be out before the 11th May.

I live in CM and was thinking of driving back to Savannakhet to get another.

Just would like to know what the costs are now, ie - visa into Laos for one night, cost of visa etc , and if anything has changed in the last 15 months.

From memory the visa cost 5000 bht with no financial proof. Will take marriage certificates etc and all the relevant paperwork.

Any info would be much appreciated.

My International Driving license has apparently expired as it can only be used for one year.

So i need to get a Thai Driving license.

I have been told i need to begin with a certificate of residence. I would appreciate any info on what i need for this.

I was on a NON - Immigration " O " marriage visa which is now expired, although i did get an additional 3 months entry before the actual visa expired and I need to exit by 11 May. I wish to drive to Savannakhet in Laos to get another NON " O " visa, and obviously dont want any issue with police on my travels there so need to be legal with the license.

We just finished moving house and rented a house for a year, although that lease was in my Thai wifes name. We have rented a new house and the 12 month lease is in my name and my wifes name.

Can anyone tell me apart from my passport what i require to get this " Certificate of Residence ".

Appreciate any help as I am running out of time to get this organised. Also do i go to the old immigration need the airport or new one at Promenada. Is it true i will spend all day at immigration to get this certificate?

Have you done the last 90 entry that you can get as long as you do it on or before the enter before date on your visa.

I assume you got the visa based upon marriage which means you could get a 60 day extension of your last entry to visit your wife.

Unless you are from Singapore you would not get a multiple entry visa there and then you would have to show 400 baht in the bank to get it.

Your only choices are Savannakhet with no financial proof needed or Penang by showing at least 100k baht in the bank.

Vientiane will only issue a single entry.

If you want a multiple entry you need to go to Savannakehet or Penang, Malaysia.

Ive been on a Non Immigration "O" marriage visa for a year.

I have no Thai bank account so i just did 90 day trips to Mae Sai from Chaing Mai when required.

My visa is nearly up and i need a new one.

Rather than fly to Singapore, I was wondering if it is possible to get a visa in Vientiane? and if so is it a two day process?

Last time i got my Non O from Suwwanakhet, in Laos but really don't want to go back there again. I would prefer Vientiane if they give these visas without problems.

Any updated info would be appreciated.

Was then coming back to CM through Pai but had a relative in Mae Sariang say they believe it best to avoid road from Pai to CM

Have a website in Australia which is quite large. It is a Wordpress site and my Webmaster is becoming too difficult to work with.

I am now based in Chiang Mai and am looking for someone to assist in teaching me how to upload product pages, and update our FAQ section with new articles.

Also need someone to take care the site on a monthly basis and be able to increase traffic through the generic search engines.

Site has a good ranking.

Only interested in hearing from people with good experience with Wordpress.

Where can I find some? Might sound like a silly question but I've been to Tesco & other big stores, pharmacies, corner stores, 7-11, you name it. I come with pictures and translations of what I'm looking for and all I get are confused looks and giggles. Two months later.... where can I find this stuff?

Hi All

I have a new Toyota TRD Vigo Champ that i bought from Niyom Panich.

Quite happy with the car and the sale went through okay although when purchasing i was told the first year servicing was free and only needed to pay for parts, ie - oil etc

Well of course TIT, and after the first service the invoice had listed everything including putting air in the tyres etc. I challenged them but just gave up as i knew it was pointless.

Anyway im not real keen to keep letting them screw me on the servicing and was wondering, if like Australia, you can get your car serviced at other reputable service agents and not lose your warranty?

Ive gone over the km service amounts anyway so im guessing it probably has some fine print that ive lost warranty anyway.

Any suggestions appreciated.
